Tried like 7 different games to join, doesn't join. Joined one lobby - host afk. 5 more doesn't join. Joined lobby, everyone seems to be ready, I say: "go?" I get reply: "he'll go when he's damn well good and ready" Get kicked. Fml, this game is becoming unplayable if I don't want to host my own game. Such bs.
i play with pubbies all the time and 95% of that time its all fine and good.
I do too; the key is be patient and be prepared for the worst case.
Apparently no update today, according to Spud mods.
The next update will remove the Hype Train XP bonus won't it?
just ran a HoxOut DW Pro Among highlights, we had TWO turrets already deployed behind us, and another one got promptly deployed just as we approached the van Don't you love triple turret crossfire on DW
Hey, that means nothing, we still escaped, didn't we? Even if a few of us WERE filled with bulletholes.
Don't ever play with pubbies. They're awful.
It's honestly a mixed bag for me, I don't take the game seriously at all so sometimes I run into the MLG guys and other times I run into pubbies that can't stop laughing because of me.

I wish Stealth had a little more depth, like if you get into red detection, the guard that was seeing you would start walking toward you semi-alerted (red question mark, weapon ready, instant detection range increased?). Other guards and civvies would ignore his status until he goes full alerted, and if he sees nothing, he'll revert to normal status.
If I could offer my two cents on LMGs: I really enjoy two of them, the Buzzsaw and the RPK. albeit I only like the latter with the ironsights mod. With the ability to properly ADS the RPK feels like a heavy assault rifle, unlike an AR or AK with a quadstack you have a good chunk of reserve ammunition at the cost of a bit of accuracy, but since the whole point is "moar dakka" that doesn't really matter. The Buzzsaw is one I like just purely as an LMG, its max ammo and ROF are second only to the Vulcan but with superior accuracy, reload speed, and movement speed. I run the muscle deck almost exclusively so the panic is definitely a benefit, it's a perfect weapon for laying down suppressive fire and clearing rooms or hallways on maps like Hotline day 2 or Revenge.
I'm not really a fan of LMGs. I'm a pistol/Shotgun kind of guy.
I love my LMGs, but lately I've been getting into more shotguns. I especially love going Scout-mode with my Mosconi and a dodge build, it's fun as hell!
Of course, bringing an LMG does kind of necessitate bringing a secondary with good range and a decent helping of ammo, I rather enjoy the Typewriter and Skorpion submachine gunes, but some high accuracy pistols can do it too.

(Guard A investigates Player, Guard B investigates Guard A.)
It would also be nice if civilians didn't flip their shit the second they see a bag.
It would also be nice if civilians didn't flip their shit the second they see a bag.
Except that's exactly how it is in real life, you go leave a hockey bag somewhere in public and someone is going to assume its something sinister
It would also be nice if civilians didn't flip their shit the second they see a bag.
I've always been led to believe that civvies don't care about loot bags, it's only body bags they freak out about. [editline]I WAS RIGHT, BITCHES![/editline] Just double checked it, they don't seem to care about bags of jewellry thrown into the room.
Or other guards with a line of sight to the investigating guard could adopt the same behavior until guard #1 calms down. (Guard A investigates Player, Guard B investigates Guard A.)
Or just stop see through walls. I love Stealth, but the detection risk engine looks a little dumb when you just run like a ghost in front the guard and he just ignore you (78% of Dettection Risk, fuck this)
Except that's exactly how it is in real life, you go leave a hockey bag somewhere in public and someone is going to assume its something sinister
I'm inclined to say people are likely to have a more apathetic reaction. Civilians in the game literally panic, and scream when they see a loot bag, it's hardly what I'd call a realistic reaction either. Nevertheless, my biggest problem is actually how NPCs seem to see them from much further away than everything else around them. It just bothers me when they can spot a lone loot bag from considerable distances and potentially compromise the heist. It'd be okay if NPCs had to get a little closer to actually set off an alert, that way it at least makes it seem like they're examining the contents inside.
The worst part of stealth is turning a corner and walking straight into a guard. That's why Shadow Raid works, wide open spaces with not many corners or doorways to bump into anyone.
Would be nice if we could get secondary or primary weapon some kind of mirror or something for stealth. Lets you peek around the corners, I mean if you are stealthing something, all you really need is pistol in secondary so for primary could take this mirror thing :v: Damn I am stupid :v:
I'd like a crossbow, honestly.
The worst part of stealth is turning a corner and walking straight into a guard. That's why Shadow Raid works, wide open spaces with not many corners or doorways to bump into anyone.
Yes, fucking yes. But you know what makes it even better? The fact that Murkywater guards have a flashlight on their body, it allows you to get a rough indication of where they are in the absence of footsteps. So, say you're about to round a corner, but you spot the flashlight corona getting closer to the corner, you can backpedal and find a hiding spot instead. The flashlight is what seals the deal in close quarters situations, but it can still fail if you don't give too many spots for the player to hide like Shadow Raid has. Look at the third day of Framing Frame for example, it has flashlights on guards, but the space is way too tight, and hiding spots are often in awkward locations. Overkill were complete dicks, and actually removed the flashlight on Death Wish, so it's completely obnoxious stealth on that difficulty, absolute trash. Overkill needs to realize: Close quarters stealth = garbage unless you have something like the flashlight, or lots of hiding spots where guards actually don't patrol. Guards do not make any sounds except the ocassional radio static you really can't rely on, so a flashlight on them is a godsend in close quarters. Stealth in the courtyard of Shadow Raid is bearable without the flashlights because the courtyard is large enough for you see most of the guards wandering, and there are pretty reliable hiding spots. They did good with Hoxton Revenge stealth, because they followed the Shadow Raid formula decent enough, but Car Shop is just terrible, terrible stealth, they should be ashamed of it.
Except that's exactly how it is in real life, you go leave a hockey bag somewhere in public and someone is going to assume its something sinister
It always entertains me how the thermal drill doesn't alert anyone until you set it up. Like, you can have a bright orange bag sitting right outside the safe and nobody looks twice.
A friend on mine pointed out a clip in Aladdin was a lot like Payday, so:

probably the wrong place to ask this but does anyone have any nice high res shots of Jacket's model? it's the most official detailed representation of the character
Look at Simon Viklund's twitter, he's asking us what should Houston call Hoxton.
Look at Simon Viklund's twitter, he's asking us what should Houston call Hoxton.
Fuckin' Twat, Prison Bitch, Crispy Face, uh i dunno. Anything that makes the sassiness between Houston and Hoxton more apparent is welcome.
