Subsurface scattering + realistic skin shader + unrealistic eyes Uncanny Valley has reached new depths.
plus almostn no eyebrows and beard that looks like burn marks or something
So they pretty much confirmed Hoxton was the one next to Wolf And they used A REAL FUCKING FLAMETHROWER FOR THAT TRAILER It is no surprise that they were slightly scared about it
plus almostn no eyebrows and beard that looks like burn marks or something
Yeah that too The model isn't exactly optimized for any of these special effects and me just hastily tossing it on to see if it works had a few side-effects. But I mean it looks neat-ish. :v:
Urgh, sometimes I wish PAYDAY 2 had a Season pass.
oh god what have i done [t]http://i.imgur.com/ICpkJ8c.png[/t]
It's almost as uncanny and lifeless as he looks in-game. I hit a turret on Watchdogs with at least 5 RPGs, and it was still alive.
It's almost as uncanny and lifeless as he looks in-game. I hit a turret on Watchdogs with at least 5 RPGs, and it was still alive.
you're literally capped to 750 damage max, we were just discussing this
It's almost as uncanny and lifeless as he looks in-game. While the armor is still on the turret you can't deal more that 750 damage in one hit to the turret at a time, we mentioned this at the top of this page.
you're literally capped to 750 damage max, we were just discussing this
Which, as ya'll agreed, is quite silly. The anti-tank rocket launcher can't take out a van.
I remember some dude on Reddit saying it's like that because the turret's armor is all gappy which affects the effectivenes of the RPG. I personally don't know how real RPGs work but I'm pretty sure some measly gaps in the armor isn't going to stop an RPG, especially since that thing is made to kill military vehicles.
The barrage of an m23 will completely bypass the need for a rocket launcher in most situations. Unless the damage is weak of course.
Which, as ya'll agreed, is quite silly. The anti-tank rocket launcher can't take out a van.
Devil's avocado here, I think that was kind of the point. I'm no fan of it or the turret itself by any means, but I think the point of the limiter was to make it so you couldn't instantly take it out with the RPG, although the way it was done was definitely idiotic since with all that health being able to take off the armor instantly is still going to leave the thing up for some time.
You know what would make sense? the turret remaining as near in-destructible as it is by regular means, but rpg's can 1-2 shot it regardless of armor, first shot removes the armor and the second shot kills it. It would make sense because its literally an anti-tank weapon, meaning if you have no rpg, prepare to get hurt. [sp]but then that basically promotes pay2win, which is just as bad if not worse.[/sp]
Starting to feel upset there's no cooler shades in the game. Hoxton's ponytail is ballin.
holy shit, the bots just hit a new level of retarded I got cloaked and the bots just stood there constantly pointing it out no revival no shooting no cops around either they just let me bleed out that's 12 minutes down the fucking drain.

The only argument I can see going for the damage cap on the turret is that it prevents it from seeming pay-to-win, since an RPG doesn't immediately destroy it. But to me, the most obvious solution to avoid that is to just make the turret able to be destroyed just as easily by vanilla weaponry. The Thanatos, and RPG should rightfully tear these turrets up, because an armored target is almost exactly why you'd want to use an anti-materiel rifle, or a rocket launcher in the first place, a damage cap just invalidates those choices completely. A damage cap is really just dumb. Imagine if bulldozers had a damage cap of 200 or something.
Man, what is with dodge players putting all their points into Fugitive and nothing else. I keep running into people who have nothing but akimbos and 14 FAKs, you end up with lobbies where there's 3 dudes with them and they're all asking everyone else to take ammo or med bags because they don't have them. It's almost comical. [editline]27th March 2015[/editline]
Starting to feel upset there's no cooler shades in the game. Not sure I wanna mess with PP at this point really.

That's one of the things I hate most about perk decks, is that they gave everybody and their mother a smaller verison of fully-loaded aced, and it may as well make that aced skill slightly dubious now, since everybody can get a smaller free version. There is nothing like the feeling of killing 8 normal cops, and a couple of shields in a hall, and seeing some dude in a suit wielding two pistols running in to scoop up all the ammo from the guys I just killed. Assholes don't even shoot anybody , just run to pick it up, then back to their own little zone.

I like playing Masterforcer, but it's like, if you wanted to be a Juggernaught it seems taking your amour off if a better solution... Why? If I were to propose a change for armour it's that each tier of armour has an innate "brace" rating where damage is reduced from the front by a percentage while aiming down the sights. just a quick set of numbers off the top of my head 20/10/30/40/50/60(75 aced) for each set of armour. with the suit being 0.
Fucking pubs. Doing Bank Heist stealth, some idiot breaks a camera on the roof then goes somewhere else, guard goes to it, raises the alarm, we restart. Host: "Whoa, how did that happen?" Me: "Guards path to broken cameras and raise the alarm when they see them. If you break a camera, sit there and wait for the guard to come by so you can shoot him." Next run, exact same thing happens. I swear once players hit like level 60 they become incapable of listening and learning.

Cheers. guess it's a good bit until the steam release :(
On the subject of dodge builds, I currently use a heavy ballistic vest with Thick Skin, and Duck and Cover aced. I previously wore a combined tactical vest for a majority of my gameplay hours, but I switched to the above because at the cost of only 20 armor, I get far better dodge chance than with the CTV, plus I'm just a lot faster. My question is.. If I were to fully transition into dodge build territory, plain suit, do I need sneaky bastard? Or is Sprinter, Duck and Cover, and the Rogue perk deck enough to suffice for a reliable dodge chance?

I'd really only get sneaky bastard if you were already getting a crit build.
I haven't played this in ages, and I've clearly missed a lot in the last while, but when I try and play public servers, I'm constantly being kicked out by the host. Am I that far behind that I don't know the game well enough to play anymore?

Am I that far behind that I don't know the game well enough to play anymore?
based on your achievements, I see you're sub level 50, which isn't terribly hard to get to at this point. this is generally a good indication of a lack of knowledge on the current game atmosphere. I personally don't feel comfortable with sub 40 on overkill missions unless they're infamous because there's some semblance of knowledge there. so that could be why stick to lower level heists until 45 ish or until you feel comfortable with the game and then try overkill. or get carried by some facepunch people here, i'm sure people wouldn't mind
My super armour isn't rewarding to wear at all, I primarily play Overkill mode and it seems that I'm just a balloon that pops after five or so bullets while everyone else and their mum is dancing around in a suit and bullets are missing them without actually moving. Dodge is fucking dumb.
i can't wait for everyone to equip molotovs and kill teammates with fire by acciden.
oh my god dragon's breath yay my payday 2 themed pyro loadout in tf2 will finally make sense also overkill really missed the opportunity for ''overgrill''

SWEET!
