Y'know the Payday mask that was in the files of Hotline Miami 2?
I decided to make it spin and make it transparent. c:

Wait, I haven't played HM2 yet, is that not used in the game? What a shame.
Where is that lua script that switches your sound source to 3rd person?
Huh, Russian Steam prices sure are different. Glowing masks cost 20€ in Finland, that's 3 Big Mac meals (6,7€).
$20 US, that's 8 Big Macs right now.
Wait, I haven't played HM2 yet, is that not used in the game? What a shame.
For all we know, that's just a beta for the actual mask(s) they'll be implementing in future dlc. Wouldn't be too surprising.
Wait, that was in HM2's files? How did people find it? Are all the graphics loose or what?
$20 US, that's 8 Big Macs right now.
Holy hell that's cheap. That explains the huge difference between (American) TV shows where everyone says McDonald's is cheap but in "real" (European) life MacDonald's are really expensive vs pizza places, junk food at almost restaurant prices if you count the fact that burger meals are only 1/2 size of the good (= big) restaurant meals.
Now I'm getting off-topic. Umm. Jacket is my favorite DLC character and I really hope Overkill will allow us cheapskates to buy the Jacket pack without HM2.
Kind of looking forward to Bonnie, although I feel like the Joceline is a bit of a missed opportunity and just Overkill's way of avoiding admitting that the Mosconi needs rebalancing.

Finally.

$20 US here too, which is about $25 Australian at the current exchange rate, so that's 2 big Mac meals and one big Mac by itself.
So I think I'm going to buy this game cause of the hotline 2 character (Sue me, I'm the worst kind of new player)
What DLC would you guys say is essential to enjoying the game online?
[sp]also do you think a few of you guys would bea ble to show someone who never played the first how 2 game[/sp]

Gage Mod Pack is a must buy, weapon mods for finding packages along with EXP. The rest of the packs are purely based on if you want the items or not.
is the Hotline Miami Heist cool?
It's just there's so many DLC's (like, holy shit it's really hard to tell what might be good especially when I don't know the game at all.
It's all 20$, and I'm thinking I might buy that but that depends how much I like the game. Might hate it.
Mod courier is essential, you may also want one of the weapon packs depending on what style of play you prefer.
Add me on Steam if you want a host for some mostly loud jobs.

Hotline is a great heist, but it's a bit hectic on higher difficulties, you might want a machine gun on your team.

Also, consider joining the FP PD2 group on Steam to send out announcements if you'd like to play with others.
This is getting complex. I might just buy them all and regret it later.
New players are never a bad thing. There's a free weekend right now so you could try the game before you commit to buying it.

You're probably only going to regret Bomb and Diamond, at this price it's probably worth picking up all the other stuff on sale.

Hotline Mamani is the best heist.

Bomb's not bad, both versions are a lot of fun to do loud (I can't tell if Dockyard stealth is a bad level or if pubs are just especially shit at it).
Diamond I really regret buying though.

Just a note, it's 20$ for all of the DLC released last year and 2013.

The bomb is annoying as fuck, but i don't regret buying it. It rewards heaps of XP and cash for being as short as it is
You guys represent an international audience. Does "get on the point right now or I'll kick you" translate to "stand around for 5 more seconds playing with your sniper rifle" in any dialect?

is there MORE DLC?
Anyway, for 20$ I think it might be worth it? I've watched gameplay to see I'm interested. I've made worse purchases.
I'll be playin' later tonight.
Honestly I don't think Diamond was actually all that bad, I'd say it was better than both of the Bomb jobs, it just didn't warrant being its own $7 DLC.
The Diamond being paid is laughable. It's like, a box surrounded by tiny security rooms and at one end there is a room with a maze. The entire lower floor is forgettable unless a thing spawns there for stealth mode.

See I think differently, the Diamond Was mediocre, the bomb hiests were solid, sure forest is nothing to write home about but Dockyard has a lovely high profile feel to it.
Two above average hiests is better value than a single all right-ish hiest as far as I'm concerned.
Does anyone have the textures for the Hotline Miami mobsters? I can't seem to extract those.
The Diamond is a good heist but not a good DLC and thats pretty much it
Artistically, The Diamond is a very impressive level. The effort they put into recreating the museum is above and beyond. For example, go into the main entrance and look up, they went to great lengths to meticulously recreate the ceiling. The quality they put into all of the (real) exhibits, such as the Antikythera mechanism and the statue of Romulus and Remus are equally impressive.
It's also quite fun. The stealth is decent for the payoff with some cool new twists and the bottlenecks during loud allows for tons of fun and experimentation.
Problem is, people don't care about artistry, they care about new toys. And The Diamond gave nowhere near as many new toys as Hotline Miami did before it. Overkill made a mistake in thinking people would care about how well designed the level was, and prioritizing that over yet another boring reskinned assault rifle, which is what the people really want. Which is probably why it wasn't worth $7.

It's quite bad because on its own it is just one heist, and a tiny one at that. Even the pre-planning has basically no real options, and even then it's laughable compared to anything else the dentist offers that isnt hoxout.
So it's mediocre content wise, and to top it of it rewards very little money due to the diamond being the only worthwhile loot item in the heist, and to make matters worse you are limited in the amount of bags you can put into the helicopter before needing to wait longer.
That and concidering that the museum's "old artifacts" are on overkill worth as much as a bag of jewelry makes it pointless to even go for them.
At the same time, the amount of XP you actually get isn't anything special, but certainly not anything bad considering a quick run can take around 10-13 minutes.
Comparing that to the bomb heist, you got two heists and a gun.
You got a lot of pre-planning options, and the maps have quite a few loot bags to get, not to mention the bomb parts themselves. Taking forest as an example, it is easy to do a run on overkill in around 15-16 minutes while getting a nice sum of money, while netting you what is IMO quite a huge sum of XP for the time taken
