What is up with the fact that Blue Swats are way more dangerous than the ones with the armour? [editline]17th March 2015[/editline] Every time I get downed it is blue swat instead of bulldozer or anything.

AKA they can fire off 7 shots in less than a second, which results in your armor getting shredded into oblivion and ultimately picks off 75% of your health in that one second. Even dodge won't save you as they fire so goddamn fast, it's bullshit.

Overkill plz fix

wasn't there a small frame of invulnerability when taking damage to stop us getting melted by swarms of blue cops, but they fucked it a while ago and never fixed it?

[B] Example A:[/B] Enemy has laid path to Dallas to kill him, movement AI moves cop towards him. Suddenly Hoxton appears on path but AI didn't catch up because of lag, so for movement AI path is clear and enemy goes through Hox. However, shooting AI sees Hoxton in range and opens fire... from within him. [B] Example B:[/B] Tazer is climbing the window. At host's side tazer already climbed into the window, but at client he did not yet due to lag\packet loss. However, host's movement AI send command "ready to fire" to shooting AI, and therefore Tazer starts tazing someone even before finishing climbing into the Otherwise I have no fucking idea why this shit happens.

Also enemies melee dmg needs to be look at, I mean getting shot with shotgun at face is less lethal than getting punched at.
i uninstalled Windows Update kb3000850 because of raptr recording black screen, now it hangs shortly after i started a heist it was never like this before
Kinda a personal issue, but I seriously hate it when a cop suddenly crouches or standing up as the animation of them doing so is really unsmooth and so sudden, which causes me to miss a headshot against a tan because he decides to stand up at the last second. I think I should git gud, but it's one of the top things that annoy me the most about this game, next to unmaneuverable shields and MLG pro airshooting snipers.

Melee typically is more powerful per hit than a gun, or at least very damaging, because the risks involved with getting into melee range make it very dangerous and fairly rare to do. On a level of realism it makes no sense (though I argue a knife will kill you just as easily) but on a level of game balance it makes a lot of sense. I still would prefer if they did a bit less damage though and knocked you back a bit instead, because they immediately start firing after melee. But you honestly have to be standing next to them to get hit by it.

Okay I hate to be just requesting shit again but... I'm sure someone had a lua script lying around here where they changed the weapons the bots were using? I went digging and I couldn't find it. Need to get Tabula Rasa done for a friend before this SWAT van hits and possibly makes it unwinnable.

I could be wrong, but that's all I saw animations for.

The two HRT units, one does similar damage to the blue SWAT, and the other one does nearly the same amount of damage as a fucking saiga bulldozer. The funny thing is these shit changes were introduced around Goldfarb era. There was a time when the cops wielding pistols that first make it to the scene on a heist like jewelry store were tearing up the best armor with ease, more than they do now. It was so ridiculous, they changed it like a week or so later, but you also had some jerk players claiming it was fine, probably the same sillies who boast about how easy Death Wish is. Unfortunately, they also forgot the other enemies with bullshit damage, and we've been stuck with them since. I'm pretty sure police melee was actually reasonable at one point, but then when the first Gage weapon pack was released, the developers at Overkill used that as an excuse to give police knives, and buffed their damage through the fucking roof. They don't even have to hit you with a knife, they can just fucking punch you, and 90 armor gone, right there. I mean fuck, the skill that reduces melee damage hardly does jack in reducing melee damage. How do you fuck up balance that bad, and leave it that way for so long?

Swat Turret is randomly placed on any of the swat vans in hoxton breakout day 1, it can be the ones in the middle of the street or the ones out of bounds and each big bend.

I know it sounds ridiculous but maybe letting them know about this unbalance may make them rebalance it a little.
Isn't it also a result of the removal of the short grace period (of like 0.5s) of invulnerability when you take damage? I remember damage being mostly fine before that.
Glad it's not just me, who took a long break, to come back and find that my Enforcer-tier armor with many armor buffs is literally evaporating if I even look at some guards (notably the FBI bronco-wielding ones on Hox Breakout.) The balance feels like this weird inverse where the lightest armored units (sans a few cops) are the most dangerous, and the super heavy elite response teams (non-Deathwish) aren't nearly as dangerous. Not sure if it's just confirmation bias or anger, but just last night as host, Tasers were zapping me the absolute nanofuck I came into their LoS, even without that notable little "bzweeeeeeeeeep" wind up before they usually start tazing. Also, snipers can go fuck themselves. I sure love all my armor and a chunk of health (OVK; with above enforcer-armor, w/ buffs, w/ muscleman 90%+ health) disappearing because the dice said fuck you when I came into one's LoS. When some maps spam 3+ of them (Hotline Miami) it can be instant death of you roll triple snake eyes.

Occasionally it seems like you can get hit more than once at the same time though. (see: snipers)

(see: snipers)[/QUOTE] iirc some stuff happens for example if you take 15 damage. that means you cannot take any shots which are 15 damage or less but you can still get hit by things which cause more damage eg a sniper at 100 damage
