The turret enemy seems like a logical addition. Some players would often run around the place, killing cops and collecting ammo. The turret discourages this and forces players to look for cover when in it's field of view.
So what comes today? Butcher mod pack?
The video on the Spring Break page shows the order of release; today is the Car Shop heist, tomorrow the butcher modpack, then an unannounced update on the Spring Break page, and then the day after Hoxton Revenge.

except it makes certain heists near impossible even on easier difficulties if not done in stealth?

Well technically it was also OP.

Ah shit, I had forgotten.
In a way though I'm not entirely sure that the turret needs a way to more easily destroy it, the thing reminds me a bit of the PD:TH bulldozer, it really just needs a straight health reduction and a means of avoiding it so a single or team of two would just have to work around it but a full set of four can easily take it down with proper coordination.

shooting cops while they're changing stance yields hilarious results

I understand why it was added, but there needs to be a better way of handling it. Giving it half a million health and the only way to reasonably take it down is to empty your mags at a piece of armor is NOT a good system.
What if there's two hinges on the side of the armor that you need to shoot down instead? You can't blindly fire at the turret to take it down (maybe with a rocket but still), but it would be a lot more accurate and skillful. Maybe take the health down, but if you can cause massive damage by hitting the camera in front then maybe it needs that much health.
What really irks me about the turret is its range. It's not so bad when it's something players can move past in cover but it's capable of shooting across two or three city blocks on Hoxout. It restricts player freedom the whole way, which really sucks seeing as you're attacked from every side.

logical? yes.
in practice? overkill repeatedly shows they don't know how to balance properly.

I still believe in the usual "Let's fuck up launch and then fix it according to feedback" way of things
That's how it tends to go with new things
It's just that they should stop having testers and feedback from people who just want something to be impossible to be hard

Neat, where did you get the Hotline Miami 2 music in the game? I wouldn't mind something like Run in the game.

The fact it still isn't symmetric bothers me way too much.
Is there a way to extract specific textures using the Payday 2 Bundle Tool? I don't want to extract all of the game files again just for Bonnie's textures.

And if you mix wrong details, the car explodes. Bain blames everything on you, even though it wss his idea to add petroleum to engine before anything else.
You guys do realise that the car we're stealing is our escape vehicle right?
if the 5 second teaser on launching the game is anything to go by, it seems likely there will be some actual driving involved (im expecting bains big rigs over the road racing tbh)
I think it would be neat if you stole multiple cars (up to 4) each person would have to get into an "escape area" for each one.

I'm sorry if I hurt someone's feelings, but the turret really isn't satisfying. When I first encountered them, I already knew the ECM feedback trick. It didn't seem super secret and the fact you guys tried to make ECMs more useful on loud sort of pisses me off. You already have player turrets in the game that are largely underpowered and take a shit ton of investment as far as skill points. They piss away ammo and get fucked by shields and bulldozers, which they mag dump into with no effect. And you can't even pick them back up to reposition them despite dropping 40 points into them. Now you expect people to sacrifice their one asset on a loud mission for a novelty.
I went in trying to shoot into the truck with a sniper rifle or went looking for a transformer it could be plugged into. Maybe there would be a wire running down a manhole and over to a power pole. Maybe there would be a twist where you could pull the power box on the cops for once. But then I realized the super secret was just that. ECM feedback on loud missions. ECM feedback is that thing you do when you are wholly overwhelmed on DW and need to run away, or when you're speedrunning Shadow Raid and you want the guards to stop shooting people. And on DW it frequently ends in regret when the team runs out of something.

I have a question this just me wanting to know if it is 50k or half a million. Do you have Hoxhud?
If so do you have the Health x 10 option enabled?
I'm really curious because some sources are reporting the 50k more than the half a mil.
I wish the car heist would involve actually having one guy drive the car and other 3 shoot at chasing cops, its how I always thought the escape missions would be

I would fucking love a good old fashioned shoot out of the back of a car escape
imagine how cool watchdogs day 1 would have been if you were still driving when the doors opened and you had to fire out the back for a little bit before the van pulled into that place
