Quest for Fire 2: The Search for Sawdust
My plans are already foiled I see :c
You cannot avoid or defeat the explosions.
Our rogue tackled a little girl in a library, violated her identity and tried to punch her throat but missed and was elbowed hard. Rogues are great people.
In my defense: 1. She wasn't a girl, just short woman. 2. She had a hood that concealed everything, the fighter took it off, not me. 3. She was trashing the place and totally had it coming. 4. That crit fail was bullshit.
You were beaten by a little girl regardless and escalated the situation way so fucking much when a city guard came, that you gave the fighter no choice but to punch the guard in their codpiece hard enough to dent into his ball sack just so you both didn't get skewered.
Sounds like good, harmless fun to me!

All I did was pull a sword. [editline]7th March 2015[/editline] The MAN is just tryin to hold us rogues down. He judged me cause I have a hood and a rapier instead of plate mail and a giant sword.
So I discovered my bookstore has massive supply of rulebooks for a whole bunch of different games hidden in the back corner of the store. This would've been great to know a few months ago when I was trying to find just a rulebook so that me and my friends could play some D&D :v:
This is entirely jumping the gun since I likely won't need anyone for several weeks, especially considering I already have a couple lined up, but if anyone is interested in being a one-shot boss battle against my Mekton party in a custom mecha of your design, add me on Steam! Having other people come up with designs is in no way an attempt to cheat my way out of thinking some up for myself. Games are Saturday at 8pm GMT -5, or in other words, about 4 hours from now as of this post. No determined exact date for your time in the limelight, seeing as nothing is made yet. I'll handle most of the ridiculous rules and details in the background, all you'll need to do is roll, know what to add, and know what you're packing with which to fuck the party up, all of which I will tell you once the mecha is made and remind you of when it's your time to shine.
More like what kind of mechs aren't in mekton.
loli schoolgirls with verbal tics and mismatched eyes
There was a great moment in our Shadowrun game today. We're at a political rally, not really on a mission. Just shooting the shit, making contacts, one of our runners is a former politician and the guy campaigning is a friend of his. An assassination on his wife takes place. We run backstage to basically check if shit is fine. Our decker starts investigating, finds out that the political candidate and his wife were swapped (projecting their bodies over eachother or somesuch). Puts the body texture up on the big screen on the stage everyone was watching, then puts up his logo for all to see. His shit gets promptly slapped because you can imagine how this looks to everyone spectating. He got plenty of job offers later that day, and one hell of a composure check.
What kind of mechs are in mekton?
What cdr said really. What kind of mechs aren't in Mekton? The system is completely constructed around entirely 100% customizeable mechs that can have and stat damn near anything you can imagine.
can i make a wizard mech?
Define "wizard." Because you technically could have a mech that has a psychic-enhancing lense attached, though that's outside the tech level and realm of the campaign I'm running. You could also choose to be a wizard with only one spell: magic missile. But you can use that spell a lot. Like, 1000 times a lot. At a single dude. In a single 10 second interval. [editline]7th March 2015[/editline] To give an example, which I'll put in spoilers in case my nosy players decide to read the thread, I just made M.Ciaster a mecha that has [sp]rocket legs, a shotgun arm, and will cudgel other mechs with telephone poles.[/sp] Also, a cup holder. That part is important.
Define "wizard." Because you technically could have a mech that has a psychic-enhancing lense attached, though that's outside the tech level and realm of the campaign I'm running.
your campaign confirmed terrible, not even mech wizards
your campaign confirmed terrible, not even mech wizards
Nah Elly-Welly, lack of mechapixies is what makes it a bad mecha champaign.
Every time I sit down to try and build a Mekton Mech I can't finish it because the numbers make me start uncontrollably sobbing.
Every time I sit down to try and build a Mekton Mech I can't finish it because the numbers make me start uncontrollably sobbing.
Then my friend, do I have a solution for you! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ApSq162n1NlQdGpDOWJTQkFNX21kRUdkbmNJTDFWZ3c&usp=drive_web#gid=0 Make a copy of that. It has plenty of handy formulas and auto-calculates like, almost everything for you. Once you get a lot of the big things down, the nitty gritty details are much more bearable. [editline]7th March 2015[/editline] Though it is missing a few slots and features, you can generally work around them with a little [del]janky[/del] clever trickery. That shockingly functional sheet maker was coded by Dwarfy.
We are the best superheroes it only took 5 sessions for us to all get arrested for trying to help though unlike for all the hideous amount of collateral damage we kind of did break into a university R&D lab and start looking through everything so we probably actually deserve it Even our robot cop guy got arrested too
Every time I sit down to try and build a Mekton Mech I can't finish it because the numbers make me start uncontrollably sobbing.
I know that feel and I wasn't even the one making the mech I was just spectating this is some gurps vehicles shit
yeah ive been giving them resources from your guys's dropbox for a while now, that fucking windows 98 mek builder is retarded though, works once in a blue moon
Which is why we moved up to the sheet I linked there, because that one actually functions, unlike the shitty program. I'd be more than willing to teach anyone how to build a mek and use the linked sheet, if interested. I actually like building them, it's almost like solving a problem, and I find the end result to be satisfying. And using them is even more fun than building them, since I find Mekton's combat so enjoyable for some odd reason. I feel like there's actual impact. Since I have Friday nights after I get home from work free, I was considering starting a second Mekton game and simply reusing resources from my first game. So consider this a gauge of interest in a full Mekton game as well. Anyone who wants to be a boss for my first Mekton game, who wants to learn how to build a mek, or who would be interested in joining a party for a new game of Mekton, add me on Steam.
In this Session of Exalted: Wall of Text, Game Edition.
In this Session of Exalted: Wall of Text, Game Edition.
all my games are like that too [editline]8th March 2015[/editline] probably because no one uses voice chat
Are there any games of Rogue Trader, Dark Heresy, Black Crusade (ect, ect) going on that have an open slot? I have a mighty need to purge heretics.
So, this week in Shadowrun, the wizard drags everyone to some ancient tomb in what was once Alaska, when suddenly the party finds themselves in a magical realm of disgusting lovecraftian horror bullshit. The decker nearly has a ADD induced heart attack, not due to any of that, but because there also happens to be no matrix connection, whereupon our resident psychopath elf offers him a hit of zen. Half an hour later, half the party is sitting around in this lovecraft tomb-world, high as fuck and giving zero fucks.
You forgot that the ground was made of white coloured meat and the pus trees, the wizard getting stabbed in the chest by something we rest of us couldn't see, and getting thrown out of the weird magic plane by giant maggots while a block of meat laughed at us, and me throwing a credstick at the decker.
meanwhile the cold-blooded lizard man was chilly
Finished a two-year-long Pathfinder campaign yesterday. Tied up almost every loose end, brought back almost every character for the grand finale. Ended with a battle five levels above the average party level, and despite my best attempts to kill them, none of them died. Feels kinda good to not have to worry about planning the next session, for once.
I've been playing Pathfinder for, like, 4-5 years or so now and I've spent a shit ton of money on books... but now I hear people in my area is slowly, but surely, moving to DnD 5th edition. I want to give it a shot, but I feel committed to Pathfinder now with all the money I've spent on it, and I don't know if I can justify moving to a new system... So, to any previous Patfinder players who have switched to DnD 5th edition, could you share your experiences with DnD 5 in comparisson to Pathfinder? I would appreciate it.
Just because you play a different system for a bit doesnt mean you have to commit to it completely. Just try it out with the base rules for a bit and if you prefer it over Pathfinder then you can make decisions on whether to put more money down on it
