traps are rude
So are wizards, therefore wizards have the rudest traps. With magic you can do all kinds of exciting things with illusions, summoning circles, or endless streams of lightning!
So, all magical girls?
Shush you, or I'll even say that Madoka is a deconstruction of Magical Girl Tropes.
I sure love me some traps and ambushes. From the humble pit trap to the horrifying walls-closing-in-on-you anti-magic deathtrap, I love coming up with such nasty surprises. Too bad most parties wouldn't survive even fairly simple deathtraps, much less the more complicated or devious ones.
Who else loves traps?
The hard part of traps isn't figuring out how to kill players, but how they're supposed to bypass it.

Chronische just skips that part.

;)
Like I have said before, I love coming up with trap ideas. I'm nice enough to not USE the ones that would be in-escapable death traps, but the idea is fun. For instance, imagine being in a dusty, dark room. Your elves and dwarves are fine, but the moment a human enters with a torch, BOOM. All the dust causes a huge explosion. If you're REALLY mean you also make the walls and ceilings collapse.

fact: roll20 hates the players
fact: roll20 hates the players
I've found it hates you infinitely more if you use the dice rollers built into the character sheets
It's almost amusing how much more my RT players fail their tests when using it (Except the Techpriest, which is presumably because all that Omnissiah lovin' gives him the respect of the RNG's machine spirit)

Elo's the GM.

it hates the GMs too

Fred from Scooby-Doo?

He was rolling on my behalf.
Been working on a custom game, I combined x-com, heroscape, warhammer 40k and D&D to make a sci-fi squad-based shooter with RPG and D&D elements... also eliminated the use of minifigures and instead I am juts using circle tokens. Going to try it out for the first time in over 8 weeks and see what happens.

Are there pixie space marines?
I've got these Mekton PDFs sitting here and I'm seriously considering making a Titanfall game out of it.
Alright I'm not sure if I'm grasping the way the sheet works, but I (think) I made a sheet for the Atlas, with options for all the different weapons.
The Beam cannon is a railgun, with a homebrewed "take 1 turn to charge" rule.
The Autocannon is obviously the chaingun
The Heavy Cannon is obviously the 40mm cannon.

Someone tell me if I fucked up the way the sheet works. There are a lot of places to put things so I may have gotten confused with where to put things.
[editline]15th March 2015[/editline]
Also, there's Auxilliary weapons attached to the torso which act as the cluster missile or missile barrage secondary.
Okay so in honor of our Rogue Trader's motivations, I took the liberty of making a picture.

On one hand, I want context. On the other, I feel like that'd ruin the image.

Heya there. Just takin a look at the sheet, it seems to be all right. Good job, especially if it's your first time building one. Trust me, that crap is entirely too complicated half the time. In regards to the beam weapon with the home brewed 1turn charge, there /is/ a rule for that, called "Warm Up" time, which makes the gun actually cheaper to make. If you only have access to Zeta, I can hook you up with the Zeta+ rulebook, since I've got a copy of it somewhere...

If you'd like, I could go over your construction more in depth later. Feel free to hit me up on Steam.

Hence the later part of my statement :v:
It's true though, that stuff takes entirely too long. If I started now the sun would probably start rising when I got done.

He's not the only one still up at this hour. I'm busy improving my automated Mek making sheet. It's so good I used it to make 3 Meks on the fly, while GMing Mekton. I've added some more features since I last announced it, though the same link up top will work, since that's the sheet I edited.

"Up top" now meaning up top of the previous page.

Was I summoned? I've been discussing solo RPGs with a friend in the Phillipines.

Dear diary, today I learned that none of us have any idea what a good time to go to bed is, also, all four of us like to stay up to do RPG related shit.

I was up until like, 8AM yesterday, and 6 the day before. This is my life now.
What I don't understand is why you would stay up to struggle with Mekton.
I've always wanted to play D&D, but i don't really know anyone who would or who has the time. where can i go to learn about it and play it with people online?
Whenever I make digital tools to help with a tabletop game I always find myself wondering where the line is between a tool and outright playing part of the game, and whether I'll cross it.
