Made an Elven Monk for my DnD 5e game. Probably going Way of the Open Hand, but I am tempted to make the Elemental one because that also sounds sick as shit.

They kinda suck though, sadly. While their ki recovers on short rest, you already have so many other things to spend ki on. Open palm or Way of Shadow are better options.
In what might be my biggest fuck up yet...
I may have accidentally recruited a group of ERPers from /tg/ for a game of Magical Burst.

Oh no. Kill them all off hardcore. Please.

Yeah. I'll probably stick to my original idea of Open Palm since I can be a Jojo character that way. That was my original intention, but it got sort of skewed at some point.

I thought Magic Burst was already full of ERPers

Find a way to make everything go wrong for them. Like, make every NPC ludicrously oblivious to everything they're trying to do.
If absolutely forced to let them ERP, go full tilt the opposite way. Make it too disgusting, or too weird, even for them.
Basically, troll the everloving shit out of them.
Is 5e any good? I've heard nothing but good things about it, with the exception of a masochist who never shuts up about 2e being the only pure Aryan blah blah blah
I haven't played in about two years, and the rest of my old group is gone, so tomorrow I want to go get everything needed to start a game from the ground up. I'd be the only person in the group who's ever played before so I thought 5e would be the perfect choice.
5E is pretty good from what I've seen, similar to 3.5 but nicer
Haven't had the chance to play it myself, but (internet-pinkie-promise that I'm being truthful) I know a couple of experienced DM's who like it a lot.

Prepare for Yuri.
Yeah, but the point is that Chainmail of Magic +2 would have little to no effect on 7,62. So in that picture, the heroes should just be all dead (and for obvious reasons (main characters), they aren't).
I think you're massively underestimating how OP D&D characters are.
Even a heavy machine gun would do something like 2d12 damage, as a ranged touch attack. Nothing a level 10+ character wouldn't be able to deal with.

Depends how well you are going to work on that damage. Sure you can just do flat out damage - but that's dumb. Instead you go for realism, because in D&D, you don't just level up Attributes, and therefore dakka is still scary stuff.
[editline]7th April 2015[/editline]
Also, firearms gotta do damage with each bullet. It makes for a scary melee weapon, because suddenly the volume of fire rises.

This post is mostly incomprehensible, but
go for realism?
in D&D?
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
It all depends on DM, after all. One will let you take an arrow after arrow to the face. Another one will throw Constitution 23 checks after first bit of dirt into wound.
Depends how well you are going to work on that damage.
what the fuck does this mean

what are these words
what do they mean

realism? in D&D?
hahahahahahahahaahahahaahahahahahhahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhhhahahahahahahaaahahha
hahahahahahahah
haaaaaaah
But seriously, if I am DMing, and if you were to tell me that Whirlbwind would not kill a dragon, I'd just outright stab you.
fuck, my automerge
[editline]7th April 2015[/editline]
GODDAMNIT NOT AGAIN
You are a terrible person, you know that, right?
It all depends on DM, after all. One will let you take an arrow after arrow to the face. Another one will throw Constitution 23 checks after first bit of dirt into wound.
No. That's just straight up how the game works. If you don't want that, don't play D&D, seriously. Realism and D&D do not work together, at all.
But seriously, if I am DMing, and if you were to tell me that Whirlbwind would not kill a dragon, I'd just outright stab you.
yeah that has no place in D&D

and you're a murderer

Also, Rule 0.

im not going to dispute your ability to play a game with realism
but trying to impose realism on D&D is literally the most retarded thing of all time
i mean, you'd only have to ignore THE ENTIRE SYSTEM
That's why Shadowrun is better.
I mean, it has realistic portrayal of Metroid.
[editline]7th April 2015[/editline]
I mean Detroit, but really what's the difference?

Are you okay? You don't seem particularly coherent. And also killing most anyone is murder regardless of betterment for humanity.
i should stop having arguments with druggies

Alright, enough of that nonsense, I agree. Let's just say that SR is better than D&D. Also, 5e is pretty good, I really do like the choices they made in regards to a few things. Especially CharGen.
what the fuck is going on
i should stop having arguments with druggies
I'll have you know that I am as clean as any man can be, save Caffeine. And Caffeine is specifically mentioned to not be addictive in SR4E, so yeah.
Okay, fuck it, everyone is breaking my automerge, I am going to sleep.
remember kids, drugs are bad
except when i do them
DnD characters can take multiple fireballs to the face, which I think would be stronger than a grenade. So yes, they can take on people with guns, especially ones they can probably kill in one hit with their own weapons.
But seriously, if I am DMing, and if you were to tell me that Whirlbwind would not kill a dragon, I'd just outright stab you.
wirbelwind might or might not kill a dragon
kinda depends

a fireball isn't actually very deadly
i mean, it's gonna hurt and shit but it's not gonna really cause much damage other than burns
