Anyone know where I can find a DH2 group? I've been looking over /tg/ and roll20, but no luck so far.
If by DH2, you mean the new version of Dark Heresy, then I'm probably going to be running a new campaign of it in a few weeks. Still getting all the details and story together for right now.
Tentative setting/plot idea is that the group doesn't work for the Inquisition, but rather are freelancers/traders/bounty hunters who end up stranded on a hive world and need to gather enough money and/or favors to fix their ship and get offworld because of *driving force here*. The various jobs they perform (Merc work, Heists, Brokering trades, Investigation, Bounty Hunting, Diplomacy, etc) for the numerous factions of the upper and lower hives (Nobles, Crimelords, Arbites, Drug Gangs, etc) influence their reputation with others and will lead to the group uncovering danger, mysteries, and conspiracy. How the crew responds to any of this is up to them.
In a sense, it's just regular DH but without having an Inquisitor/GM telling you exactly what to do or where to go. I'm fleshing out the setting and key NPC players as much as possible before sorta "unleashing" you guys upon it.

That sounds really cool. I've never played Dark Heresy, but I've played Rogue Trader. You got any players yet?

I'l be up for it, if you want. I haven't DH yet and I really want to change that.
There's a ton of things in Pathfinder to account for like feats, class archetypes, magical items and any spells he's casting that it's really hard to theorize what his AC should be without being able to see all of the character's details.
Facepunch tends to forget how much content is available for Pathfinder, both made-for and the 3.5 books that have been updated for Pathfinder (although this is generally restricted to data sets for 3rd party tools).
My group is currently sitting at 2630 feats, 3446 (stock) magic items, 1334 traits, 1240 Cleric spells (not to be confused with total Divine spells), and 2233 Wizard spells (not to be confused with total Arcane spells). We don't even have half of the stuff out there for the system. Pathfinder has an absolutely maddening amount of shit to use. It's one of the biggest reasons we made it our primary game.

Oh by the Emperor yes.
Fuck, the character sheet for my Hunter S. Thompson inspired Shadowrun character got corrupted, now I have to go through the books and try to remember what addictions he had again.

I think the answer is "all of them"

I have about 2-3 players at the moment. I was actually looking for about one or two more. What I have planned is quite spiritually similar to Rogue Trader but I feel a lot more familiar with the DH system.

Sweet!

DH can be monumentally fun once you get past adjusting to the rules and find your character's niche. Same could be said for most RPG's I guess, but I try to make each player feel special.

Got your PM and will add you shortly.
If you guys are interested, just PM me: your timezone, days/times most ideal to play, and your skype username so I can send you the manual and chat.
I'm probably not going to be able to take on a bunch more players so apologies in advance if it doesn't work out. Having a flexible schedule is a big plus.
[editline]Just now[/editline]
Positions are full for now. I'll let the people who PM'd me know if that changes over the next few weeks. Thanks.
Whelp, ran my first real game of Shadowrun. My players pretty much skipped dealing with a hotel full of various guards and goons when the mage cast animate object on the briefcase they were meant to steal and it jumped out the window into their waiting arms.

I had calculated the exact number and severity of addictions I could take a long with my compulsive monologuing disorder though.

If there was ever a brief message on how it's like to GM, this would be it.
The games with my friends never survive past the first couple sessions. We all have tons of fun but we can never get everyone reorganized again.
THE FIRST SESSION OF CRAB TRUCKERS IS COMPLETE

Please no, I would like to actually read a snippet of what the game was like for once and not a novella, as you guys are so intent on posting.

I added some highlights, although some of them are pretty long. Here's a snippet for you:

PARTY EXPERT

Sploop: is set him on fire

KEEP ON TRUCKIN'
Crab Master (GM): Jean, you doing anything?
Jean P.: Nah, I keep driving
Crab Master (GM): You sucessfully
against all odds
keep driving
Has anyone ever made a wargame homebrew of STALKER? I figure it might be neat to run some kind of faction wars type thing.
Seriously, it was all golden.
'FUCK PHYSICS'
Sploop: I try to set them on fire as they dive
because fuck physics
Crab Master (GM): Roll against physics

ROOFTOP RUMBLE
Crab Master (GM): Where are the rest of ya'll located
Sploop: I am in the cab
Jean P.: Driver's seat
Sploop: in the passenger seat
Crab Master (GM): Alright
Ned Ryerson: On the roof
Crab Master (GM): There is actually a roof seat on the truck
That's the crab trucker way
wargame? i know croguy was working on a stalker system but that got shelved.
Ops and Tactics could probably handle Stalker pretty well, and I haven't run into any glaring issues with my wargame-esque-ification of it so far.
Pathfinder game tonight, one player was vocally upset that his character almost died.
Everyone in the group is annoyed that he keeps making characters, so they've been trying to kill off one of his characters in a not-obvious way. For some reason, while we were in turn-order, he would go off to a different table to play Magic until it was his turn. Well, since he was doing that instead of sitting at our table, one of our players used breathe fire while that guy was at a different table. Breathe fire was used on a zombie, but that guy was in the fire's range and ended up having 1hp left.
He wasn't happy about it. Some guy from a different table asked us to not yell so loud because of how loud he was getting lol. His character ended up living though.

Lay down the fucking law. That magic shit would not stand in my game. Just because it isn't your turn doesn't mean you're not participating. I get pissed when someone uses their cellphone at my game, let alone going to a different fucking table.
Imagine if you were watching a play and whenever an actor monologued the rest of the cast went stage left and played Settlers of Catan. It's the same shit.
Yeah I know you're a fragile greenhorn at this but if he's not actually invested in the game try to gracefully eject him. You're putting in your time and creativity and effort for this, and hopefully your players are bringing the same.

If he leaves the table for stupid and rude reasons again, magical sky rocks fall and kill his character and he's out of the game. Simple as that.

I wasn't the GM tonight. The GM didn't give him his reflex save because he wasn't at the table, but I still should have said something about it.

That GM must be the nicest person alive.
It's like SS13.
If you log out, you're magically temporarily braindead.
Yeah and you still get your shit kicked.
today was the closest we're going to have to a beach episode in Rogue Trader
they found the palace belonging to a guy who they murdered and stole the ship of, on a tropical island on a pleasure world, and after paying all the outstanding debts on it they have acquired it
and thus much vacationing was had
also heresy but that's just a given
