Right, I'll be honest, I've bothered a lot of people here about 40k games and I apologize for being a pest, but I'd really like to join some game if possible. The previous one with Nitrowing didn't work out because of timezones.
The start of my campaign got pushed back another week because one of the players was sick.
I'll get this started eventually, goddammit.
Does anyone here play with the Anima Beyond Fantasy books? I've found tht to be my favorite because it so damn customizable and the combat is better than 3.5 or anything really.

I have one of the books, and it's really cool, but goddamn it's complicated.

Ya the whole Ki system and the way magic works can be a little complex, but its so good once you get used to it
It's also the single most weeaboo thing I've ever read.
You can break the game so much too. for example I played with a full fledged blocker. So at lvl 3 I had 180 block and about 180 health with a constitution on 10. with a feat called blood of the immortal which made it so instead of dying at 10x you Con so -100, its 20x so i wouldnt die until -200 health and I also don't fall unconscious in the negatives. With the feat of Bodyguard which allows me to jump infront of any attack to an ally with 10ft and take the hit instead with only a -10 to my first block, I was a fucking tank. (anima goes off the d100 system btw)

Well I mean, from what I've been told it's basically Exalted but 10x more anime and 10x more complicated.
Sounds about right, from what you've just said.

I haven't been able to get to the second session of my campaign for two and a half months

That sounds fun and would weeaboo for the game!
Would you be willing to run it?
Pathfinder game tonight, one player was vocally upset that his character almost died.
Everyone in the group is annoyed that he keeps making characters, so they've been trying to kill off one of his characters in a not-obvious way. For some reason, while we were in turn-order, he would go off to a different table to play Magic until it was his turn. Well, since he was doing that instead of sitting at our table, one of our players used breathe fire while that guy was at a different table. Breathe fire was used on a zombie, but that guy was in the fire's range and ended up having 1hp left.
He wasn't happy about it. Some guy from a different table asked us to not yell so loud because of how loud he was getting lol. His character ended up living though.
A bit late but I now how it feels to have one of the players do something else while doing your game and become a distraction to others. For example, in the my 40k game that I'm Gming. A player came in very late, The game was scheduled to be at 5:30pm but had to be delayed to 7:30pm as she seeped in and due to only having 3 players, I cant do it without her. It wasn't this that made me mad but when she decided to walk away from the table after I just started and talk to someone else for half a hour.
I was trying to make a big talk between the player characters and there unstable allies but sadly It came off as shit with only my 2nd player's taking the inventive to talk to them incharacter as my 3rd player is just a kid (13) and even though hes interested in the story, hes just doesn't push enough and is often distracted by my 1st player.
Even though the 1st player is a good roleplayer and is a really good friend, she just tries to "mult-task" too much. It was really bad when my 2nd player was gming his game and had to put up with her when she had her dog and was on her laptop. Pissing off the 2nd player to the point where he said to me that he was nearly going to walk out and canned the game during when she got very distracted with other things beside the game .
I don't really know what I can do, I have though about just canceling the current 40k game and try to make something more accessible so I can get more players also having a talk with 1st player but she can get emotional at times. I don't really want to deal with that at the moment.
1st player needs a talking-to. It might get ugly, but basically what I said earlier applies here: she needs to be able to respect the time and commitment that everybody else is putting in

I'm currently working on making a campaign now. I've never gmed before and I still gotta get all the rules down pat, but if you want to join it when i have it, in like a month or so, you can read through the books and make a character. I'm making it fairly simple like no psychic stuff but aside from that its pretty much free reign in the books aside from Blood abilities
Also this site is good for making a character http://jmbowman.github.io/anima-character-generator/

I might be down depending on the time, mostly because I'm unemployed and need something to fill the time this summer.
Well once I actually iron some details out I'll post in here with an invitation to a few who want to play depending how many i want to have in it. I'm at like 3 solid people now. 5 will prolly be the limit
I'm interested but it totally depends on the time you figure out.
Then again, a month from now is a ways so I'll prob figure it out by then.

I've never actually played it myself, but I agree it's pretty cool.
The setting is so fucking hilarious, though.
It literally has Jesus Christ as a major character in the backstory. And he's a biological construct created with magical technology. By the Illuminati.
I'd join, but I don't really have any free time until at least a month from now.
Man, for the last two years pretty much every game I've played in has been like this:
"Yeah, so, normally characters get 100 points to spend in character creation but I'm going to lower that to 1 because I want this to be a low power game"
Every damn time. It's starting to get real old.
I'd understand if it was an occasional thing, but every time? Really? Come on, GM, cut me some slack here.
The following is a dramatization of real events
GM: "Okay guys, after this game is over I thought maybe we could play Exalted?"
Me: "Oh man, I'll finally get to be some kind of actual hero!"
GM: "Well, actually I was going to have you guys be slugs."

Mortal Exalted game?
Absolutely terrible.
I have the opposite problem, the games I play in have PCs end up being really powerful.
I have the opposite problem, the games I play in have PCs end up being really powerful.
I'm sure it's completely unrelated to playing in games I GM.
It's not like I like high powered games or anything.

There was also the PF game I was in where the GM had a hard on for martial classes who let his butt buddies play a half ogre and a half demon who rebelled against his own kind. I played a gnome alchemist who wanted to be a bee and still dominated in combat though.

I'd be pretty interested when you do start it. Which Chargen method would you be using?
I have yet to GM a game after my first attempt at PF where the pc's didn't end up ridiculous by the end
I'll admit that in my Traveller game they basically started out with the Enterprise and it went up from there, what with fighting dark matter monsters from beyond the galaxy and sufficently advanced humans
And I've mostly ended up playing Rogue Trader RaW which has entailed the players tripping over salvagable derelicts, archeotech, and xeno loot in every new system they visit, which is probably how they've already managed to get a fleet of 7 ships, tons of powerful gear, and more plot and loot threads to pursue than they know what to do with

60 points is a very generous amount to give you guys for Mekton >:c
and besides that you're basically OP in that game.

Yeah, unless you're trying to tell a really nice episodic story. Or it's a fantasy game where them gaining power is a selling point. Start your players off at higher level.

I didn't mean you, bb. Come back to bed and ERP with me some more.
Anybody have a problem with wanting to run a dozen different games with a dozen different scenarios?
Right now I have to decide which one of the following I should try and convince my friends to play:
D&D 5
Call of Cthulhu
World of Darkness
Game of Thrones
Star Wars
Halp
call of cthulhu
