Some of you may remember that I posted about making a system (based on an anime of course like the weeaboo I am). Well, it's basically functional now. Most of the details are in place, and I'm looking for more than a single one-off session for testing purposes. Better yet, I need people unfamiliar with me and possibly with PnP RPGs in general for extra authentic testing, though the second part is optional. If you're interested in helping me hammer out details and in roleplaying as a superpowered highschooler via Steam group chat with a bunch of weebs, either PM me or message me on Steam. I'm looking for 3-4 players. Dropbox will be required, for realtime sheet syncing. The game will happen Saturdays at 8:00 PM, Eastern Standard Time, otherwise known as GMT -5. Games are likely to last at 4-6 hours as well, though shorter times are possible if everyone's fine with that. Previous experience dictates that 4-6 hours is best though. There's gonna be a much larger focus on the RP aspect than the crunch too, since it's basically gonna be almost slice of lifey, so bear that in mind :v:

I always wanted to play/run a solid low fantasy game, Witcher style
So tonight's game of Giant Robots involved entirely too many bees, mayonnaise, and in-fighting. I think I legit have a migraine from all the ineptitude I've got to deal with.

Come next game Perseus is gonna lay down some fistly words of wisdom and everything will be well. I already have it all typed out~
A few months ago I inquired here whether anybody had any good experiences with character commissions from any particular artist or place, and ended up getting contacted by an artist here that wanted to draw my definitely-not-Solaire character pro bono. She did an amazing job, and since then I've been wanting to try and get the character commissioned properly, so here I am again. The issue I currently have is that I'm not just looking for an ordinary character drawing, and am instead looking to have my main character acted upon by another character (but not a detailed one) to play off of his incredible awkwardness despite his shockingly high charisma score. Does anybody have any recommendations as far as artists go? I'm abysmal at this commissioning thing.
Is Nwn2 any good? I have finished BG1&2 several times
Is Nwn2 any good? I have finished BG1&2 several times
NWN2 is good. It's expansion, Mask of the Betrayer, is fucking amazingly great. I would recommend playing it after the main campaign though because it's a follow up.

The problem players have one game to improve, if not either I'm grabbing two new ones, or it'll just be the journey of Bishop and Ei for a while

An item (albeit an important one) and an NPC friend is all, really.
You don't have to, but IMO MotB is a better experience if you do, so I recommend it.
Eh, but then you have to suffer through NWN 2 main quest which, let's face it, is not all that great.
Maid RPG is beautiful and the greatest roleplay experience I've ever had Anyone who says otherwise is a liar
Any good DnD books/audiobooks you guys recommend?
At first I thought you meant there were audiobooks for the DnD rulebooks.
Nah just DnD themed stories
Any good DnD books/audiobooks you guys recommend?
Books? Like novels? Shit I don't know, pretty much the only directly D&D related ones i've read are Dragonlance Chronicles, the Dragonlance Preludes and one other Dragonlance book that I don't remember the name of. Dragonlance Chronicles is pretty cool, Preludes are of wildly varying quality, the last one was fucking weird.
Any good DnD books/audiobooks you guys recommend?
The Dragonlance Chronicles is always a safe bet. It's also pretty interesting to see the origins of some of the most iconic aspects of D&D today.
I just convinced a bomb to become a maid what is my life where did I go wrong
Anyone looking to play Savage Worlds: Weird Wars (preferably those who can play at 8pm -5 GMT on Saturdays)? I've got a small adventure (2-4 sessions probably) set up and I'm looking for players. I'm kind of debating on if I'll go past that 2-4 sessions as I kinda just want to get my feet wet with the system so don't expect anything too long term. PM me if you want details
this sounds fuckin' awesome are the rest of the mechanics actually good? I always wanted to play/run a solid low fantasy game, Witcher style
They are, the game is very, very heavily based off of Riddle of Steel so if you want to get a general idea of what the game is like I'd suggest checking that out as well.
It's official, one game and I've managed to break Siberys
Any good DnD books/audiobooks you guys recommend?
Man there's a SHITLOAD. If you mean GOOD ones, there's the Cleric Quintet, Pool of Radiance, Halls of Stormweather (part of a series, it's pretty good), the Evevis Cale trilogy, and a lot more. Don't listen to those chumps saying Dragonlance is anything but the worst. (It's the worst)
It's official, one game and I've managed to break Siberys
I have no words I was suckered into believing that I was playing in a moderately serious game. For the first hour or so, it almost seemed logical. NERV was incompetently run, but it seemed like things could be fixed. That was until we arrived at the room. There was only one room. For the OD and two pilots. Okay, I said, I can handle this. That was until the bathtub. The motherfucking bathtub. Which dispensed mashed potatoes, hot sauce, and blocks. We learned of this when the pilot who was with me attempted to use it. So thus began our sisyphean trek to find a motherfucking bathtub. You always know a search for something is going well when one of the locations we investigated was labelled as 'Cactus'. Which was a bath. Full of cactus men. And lobsters. And the girls bath. Filled with cameras. And the men's bath, filled with alarms that detected women and released lobsters. We plumbed the depths of NERV, finally finding a single bathtub! We rejoiced! And it was not connected to anything. Defeated, we return to the room, to find requisitions has stolen our couch and replaced with a bathtub. Also not connected to anything. I am defeated and sit down. The chair I sit on breaks. Also, requisitions broke the second bed (an inflatable). We spent four hours on this quest. Four goddamn hours. And we are defeated. Utterly. The angels don't need to bother, humanity is already defeated. The only thing we know is the name of our nemesis, and he is Don B. Savage, and we will hunt him down and kill him somehow I come off of playing fucking Maid RPG and it was more grounded than this
As another player in this game, I can confirm that Siberys's story is 100% true

Savage (maybe)
I dunno how our DM puts up with us sometimes. So here we are, our party of four following some elf lady into the catacombs beneath their elf city. The DM is describing the place; dimly lit, but an architectural work of art, with elegant arches and pillars and the like, when I interject; "Where are the skeletons?" "... There aren't any." "Well these are some right shitty catacombs then. I ask the elf lady where the skeletons are." Next thing you know, most of the party has joined my character in heckling this poor elf about their poor usage of the term "Catacomb" and trying to discern what the true purpose of these not-catacombs are, until the DM had her pipe up, reminding us- rather sharply- that we ought to quiet down so we don't get followed. I love doing shit like that. Little things, you know? Props to our DM for putting up with it. :v:
Meanwhile, in the wonderful world of Shadowrun, the team took on an assassination mission, the target being a ridiculously armored up ork veteran. They decided the best plan would be to wait until he was driving home from work, and then drive a car with 9 grenades taped under the hood up next to his through remote control, and then detonate it. So they blew up half a street in downtown Seattle, killing at least half a dozen bystanders and wounding at least five times more, while the ork managed to survive due to quick reflexes and ridiculous armor. Afterwards they ran up to him in the middle of the street and shot the shit out of him until he passed out from blood loss, after which our resident murderous elf chick decided to shove a mini-grenade down his throat, and then drive away from the scene on a scooter. Just another day in the shadows omae.
