Also, I want to play DnD as Chaotic Evil in a party of various goods. And have them try to kill me at every moment, because they are prejudiced bastards, and not because I did anything evil.
Sounds like half of the campaigns I've played/run.
It won't go further than 3 sessions and you'll look like "that guy" unless everyone talked about this before hand.
End of session I was at 0/15 wounds, -10 critical to my head, -8 to torso, and -4 to my left leg, 12 fatigue, I lost 9 toughness and fellowship, and I burned a fate point and my suppression shield was destroyed.
Apparently, when I'm literally unable to see anything within 10 meters of the other players, and I get horrible feelings when I'm within that area, I should just stick nearby.
Also doing encounters planned for the whole party with 3 of them gone isn't a smart idea, but that goes without saying.
Well, lessons learned
when in the spooky necron tomb, don't say 'screw you guys I'm going home' and then go off alone
Go FATAL or go home, then.
you clearly should
My indiana jones joke PF character has turned half Indy half Trevor Belmont

Johnny Whipcrack disagrees.
I've yet to find a chance to play Smash Mouth in a campaign as a GM but some day it will happen.

I am a Tough Vector who Protects His Swamp
A couple of weeks ago some uni friends started a Star Wars game, which I joined since they finally were playing when I didn't have class.
The GM is a veteran, pretty decent and has everything planned beforehand while being flexible with our actions, the rogue and the ranged soldier are experienced too, whereas me (the melee wookie soldier), the mexican jedi, the edgy female twi'lek jedi, the rich noblewoman and the crazy ewok are all new to roleplaying games.
Our first quest was to investigate a place where undocumented ships had been seen. After a day waiting moving the camp up and down the valley trying to get a better place to view any incoming ships, we finally decided to camp near a burned spot of grass.
What was supposed to be a recconaisance mission turned into breaaking into a secret imperial base dug into the mountain, and me cutting in half in one hit two Imperial soldiers and a captain who was supposed to be wearing an armor that should have made him survive my hits, butrolling a 20 and dealing 48 damage can cut through anything.
The ewok had spent his credits in grenades, which used to blow up a group of 3 soldiers at his first try. The mexican jedi force pushed the remaining two soldiers trying to knock them out only to roll way too high and killing them, giving him a couple of dark side points.
Then we all almost died in a gunfight with two soldiers in a hallway while their officer was trying to delete some archives from the main computer. The ranged soldier rolled a one and his shoot destroyed said computer, at least he got thanked by an npc. After killing the soldiers and the officer commiting sudoku, we went on to investigate his room, and after getting a pda with some data in it, the session ended with the mexican jedi about to shove his lightsaber in a safe to open it and the noblewoman discovering a bomb wired to said safe.
It has been fun, I can't wait for the next session this Thursday.
Hey guys, how much carry over is there between Shadowrun 4e and 5e? There's a big charity bundle out right now that has a load of 4e books for $30. Is 5e a completely different game from 4e?
As far as I can tell from listening to Elly and Rents bitching about stuff in our SR game all of the matrix and most of magic has like completely changed, also vehicle rules and shit.

I've been wanting to pick up Shadowrun. Is 4e a good place to start?

It's not completely different, but it is a different edition still, just about everything will need to be tweaked to fit. Depends on the individual thing how much. Matrix stuff specifically is pretty much completely different in 5e, though.
Of course, all the fluff is still relevant, and in my opinion at least some of the books would be worth it even if you don't want to convert stuff over just for that.

Yeah, but 5e is better imo.
Especially if you want to do anything related to hacking. The matrix stuff was borderline unplayable before 5e.

But, but, throwing like 20 dice as a recently built character, man!
How about other equipment? I ask because this seems like a really sweet deal and I've wanted to get into shadowrun for awhile.
For $13 you get:
4e 20th Anniversary edition
Runner's Companion
Arsenal
Safehouses
For $30 you get the above plus:
Runner's Toolkit
Augmentation
Street Magic
Unwired
Gun Heaven 2
I mean, if you want to run 4th Ed, I'd say that having Unwired and Street Magic is sorta important, alongside Arsenal, because you can't have fun in 4th Ed without Arsenal.

You pretty much have to eyeball all of it. Just look at the 4e stats in comparison to other similar things in 4e, and then look at some similar things for 5e to get a decent idea of how it should look.
As a general rule, damage ratings and armor values both increase by about 1.5x, but it's by no means universal.
[editline]13th May 2015[/editline]
Like if you have a gun with similar stats to, say, the Ares Predator in 4e, but with some minor adjustments, maybe a slightly larger clip and no integrated smartgun system, for a 5e version of that you could just copy 5e's version of the Ares predator, and add those same adjustments to it.

They're pretty close, all of the basics are the same, main changes are some armour/damage rebalances, a limits system that tones down your ability to win just by throwing as many dice as possible and the hacking system in 5e is actually pretty good while in 4e's everyone else might as well go order a pizza while the decker does their thing.
so the party just killed two Deathmarks and a Tomb Stalker
we're finally at the point where I can just throw stuff from Black Crusade at these rogue traders willy-nilly and they still get through alive

OK. Throw a Black Crusade party at them, one that has achieved their goals. That is to say, a cluster of daemon princes and sorcerers supreme.

Considering their aversion to anything warp-tainted, the greater problem would be finding justification for them running into such in a not-totally-contrived way.
Since Chaos really doesn't have any usable loot. Xenotech might be heresy but at least it doesn't usually grow onto you and turn you into a horrible monster

It totally does. Most xenotech is tainted nonsense unless it's been vetted and tested for centuries! That's WHY they ban it, because most xenos in the setting are already warp tainted.
You can always have the ol' chaos boarding party! Have some Red Corsairs decide that this Rogue Trader has interfered with their plans, or that their ships sure would look nice in THEIR fleet, could lead to a fun RT vs RC massive space battlle! Fun times!

Said BC party shows up at Footfall or Port Wander with a fleet being all "o hai Imperials" when the party is chilling
There, justification

They've already volunteered for the huge space battle so that's always on the docket
though considering complete lack of anti-daemon anti-unholy gear right now I'm quite certain daemon princes would kill them without much of a thought

How did they never have to deal with a Daemonic Incursion in Warp transit? Are you using the travel rules from Navis Primer?
