Since the Kickstarter is ending in a few hours and I don't think I saw it mentioned here yet: Planet Mercenary - anyone got opinions on it yet? I'm grabbing it just because I'm a Schlock fan, but some of the ideas sound pretty cool.
Anyone know any good games to use for a game set in the Mad Max universe?
Was it Gleb.
Dont shittalk other users on the forum. Unless youre willing to hear what people really think of you.
Is there any crazy weaponry in Shadowrun, or does it all stick to modern ballistic-based guns + debuff grenades?
Super soakers...
Is there any crazy weaponry in Shadowrun, or does it all stick to modern ballistic-based guns + debuff grenades?
You've got no idea dude. It is mostly realistic/semi realistic stuff but Shadowrun is ABSOLUTELY sci-fi/fantasy in the level of wackiness that it's gear can get to.
Anyone know any good games to use for a game set in the Mad Max universe?
Atomic Highway, Apocalypse World, there's probably a million and one postapocalyptic GURPS settings, ditto for Savage Worlds, and Fallout of course :v:
Would anyone be interested in me running a og unearthed one shot or something as I'd like to try my hand at dming.
Anyone know any good games to use for a game set in the Mad Max universe?
Run Apocalypse World in the Mad Max setting. The style is already there.

But 90% of the time you're better off with more dakka anyway.
Lasers are great as long as you don't mind getting 15 shots out of a backpack of ammo.
They're really not. They've got good accuracy and high armor piercing, but their damage is utter piss, they're all semi-auto only, they have little ammo capacity, no special ammo types, their damage decreases even further at range and when shooting through fog and such, they can't be modded, they require their own weapon skill for lasers only, and they cost a shitton.
Yeah, but, lasers
just buy more gauss rifles theyre literally cheaper and better in every way
just buy more gauss rifles theyre literally cheaper and better in every way
Skreech has 1 strength, assault cannons are probably bigger than she is.
Oh, but on the subject of crazy weapons in Shadowrun. We have cutter nanomachines that cut you up from the inside, shrike nanomachines that cut you up from the outside and then from the inside, and motherfucking Surtr nanomachines. When they come into contact with organic tissue, they breaks down, releasing an exotic mix of chemicals which reacts to the water molecules in a persons body, rapidly accelerating them, causing people to spontaneously combust. And it can stay airborne for up to 30 minutes using micro-propellers, meant to be sprayed into the air over a huge area. And of course, there's magic, which can do all kinds of wacky shit such as making bullets that explode in huge waves of magical acid, make a grenade simultaneously explode normally and shoot lightning, or making guns that shoot deadly sunlight.
Well, in 4th edition there were crazy nanomachines. In 5th edition there are now only nanomachines that infect you with ghosts from the internet to take over your brain.
War! and Eurowar Antiques are hilariously unbalanced books.

5e's aug book should be interesting with the CFD stuff.
5e's aug book should be interesting with the CFD stuff.
CFD was already in Stolen Souls, though. I doubt it's going to have much on it, except maybe some more fluff on how genetech and nanotech can fuck you over, now.
oooh might be making a pnp for my final year project next year hype
