Tactical Shooters - A Lost Genre - Games

I think each player in the game had their own squad to lead

that... wouldn't be fun. like at all. and to make it fun you'd have to sap so much of the star wars feeling front it it wouldn't be star wars anymore. that game is as close as you're going to get as far as rainbow six in space is concerned.

How is that game, by the way? I've always wanted to try it, mainly just because I remember playing Dark Forces way back when on DOS. It's on Steam for a cheap price, maybe I'll try it.

Hidden and Dangerous 2 is a pretty good tac shooter. The only ones I have played are HnD2, Raven Shield, Republic Commando, and SWAT 4. Too bad this genre is pretty under rated now.

I'm playing through Swat 4, its pretty fun.

urban ops was the bomb best was lone wolf with max opponents raven shield and its 2 mission discs was pretty decent too

If you guys thought SWAT 4 was good.. despite the graphics it didn't have a patch on SWAT 3, the mods, the maps and also the command interface in SWAT 4 was entirely stripped down. You could do alot more in SWAT 3
