I had an idea for a Hero along similar lines; one that was a wee bit similar to something like Teemo.
The hero "Twig" could hide in trees, shoot a poison bolt on cue, throw pocket sand at his enemies, and lay bear traps, if I recall correctly. It was in the Hero ideas and suggestions thread, in the link below;

The "Zoogish Hunter" description is also a Lovecraft reference, referencing the small brown rattish creatures that live in the Dreamlands of Lovecraft's universe of cosmic horror.

Thing is, with levels and Arcane Boots, it's more than doable, since Refresher will refresher Arcane boots as well, so doing this :
Blink -> Quickly start turning around to face your fountain entrance -> RP -> Arcane Boots (+possibly Shockwave if you have more INT) -> Skewer -> Refresher -> RP -> Arcane Boots (+possibly Shockwave if you have more INT) -> Skewer -> Blink (only in the direction you are Skewering, in this case, fountain)
Entire Combo step by step in Mana :
-75 Mana -> -300 Mana -> -25 mana +135 mana (possibly -90 mana) -> -80 mana -> -375 mana -> -300 mana -> -25 mana +135 mana (possibly -90 mana) -> -80 mana -> -75 mana
All together :
With Shockwaves (including gain from Arcanes) : 1245 mana to cast all
Without Shockwaves (including gain from Aracenes) : 1065 mana to cast all
With Shockwaves (excluding gain from Arcanes) : 1465 mana to cast all
Without Shockwaves (excluding gain from Aracenes) : 1285
Magnus has weak INT and INT gain, but with raw mana from Arcanes, or just generally stats or +Int items he can easily do this combo if he expands all of his mana for it.
If you do it out in the open, like carry people up to 3600 units (2x skewers, + Blink. Add 1200 if you manage to surprise people with RP and do RP->Skewer+Blink->RP->Skewer+Blink), they should be placed in an arse of a position or be close to dying due to damage from 2x RP and 2xSkewer at least.
If you do it towards fountain, you will get fountain regen anyway.
[B]Now[/B] it's no science that with Refresher you can do 2xRP and 2xSkewer. Hell, you could just as well do 2 RPs up front and Skewer 2 times or Skewer, into RP, into Skewer, into RP, there's tons of comboes here with Refresher, and even without it.
However the trick is in Blink+Skewer thingy. You see, you can use Blink moments before Skewer's carrying effect dissipates, carrying people with your blink. It works similar to how Relocate+Skewer works (If Wisp relocated you while you Skewer people, they'll go with you). This is doable only in limited extent though, as if you don't shift-que it you risk wiffing it if you reflex staggers. There is also turn-problem, as hero has to turn towards direction he'll blink before using it. This means that if you order Blink after Skewer slightly too much to the side, or just in different direction than that of Skewer, you'll blink without heroes you've been carrying around with Skewer.
Using the Blink However, max Potential Distance is 4800 units.
Given that if you go for Blink->RP->Skewer->RP->Skewer->Blink, enemies have little window to react at all. If you Blink+RP well to begin with, they can't react during Skewer that follows it, you RP right after it so there's room there, but then you are Skewering again, this time further due to Blink. Trickiest part if you manage a good 5 man RP is not taking player-damage to ensure second blink happens. BKB could be a good idea just to prevent Radiance and such from blocking it.
But still, with just 2 skewers : 2400 units (Earth Splitter of Elder Titan). With 2 Skewers + 1 Blink = 3600 range (more than lvl 3 Sniper's Assassinate). With 2 Skewers and 2 Blinks : 4800 fucking range (Basically, imagine the circle on Minimap when there's Night Stalker at night with Agha. Entire distance through it + max range blink dagger on top)

naix is easy: free BKB on demand makes overextending, poor map awareness and bad farm more forgiving
antimage: low cd blink makes it easier to get out of trouble after, again, overextending
sniper: long range makes it harder to be out of position maybe?? no idea on this one
because they're simple on paper and being simple on paper is enough for new players to jump on them
