I've never seen Necro played in a pushing strat. He's either a tanky semi-carry or in most cases, a support.
Well, semi-carry seems more accurate. I think I use the term "pusher" too often.
Necrolyte is fun if you get the 1 or 2 position. He becomes boring aurawhore who's OOM all the time if you don't get at least 2-role.
He's one of those durable casters, along with Death Prophet, Timbersaw, Skymage if you choose to build him relatively tanky and arguably Undying if you build Bloodstone on him. Their goal is to stand there and be annoying
the thing i don't like about necrolyte is that all i seem to be doing is spamming death pulse once in a while and stealing everyone's kills.
the thing i don't like about necrolyte is that all i seem to be doing is spamming death pulse once in a while and stealing everyone's kills.
That's good since you can't die if you steal kills, free 600 HP/mana you also sustain all your allies with constant heals. #KILLSECURING
It should be understandable factor to give Necrolyte at least 1 kill per fight. He fills up his mana again to toss out even more heals than before, if he doesn't get 1 kill he can't heal that much anymore. 600 mana is a shitton of mana. Just learn to use Reaper's scythe well, once you get the hang of when you're going to get the kill, you're going to end up being more helpful with that one kill you get. The trick is to use it when they're going to take damage over the delay for the scythe to be fatal. Let's say that it instakills a guy with 40% hp left. You use it when they're at about 50-60% hp when they're taking damage. The stun holds them in place for the duration before the scythe lands on them, so you get the finishing blow. If you use it when they're at 40% hp, your team might end up getting the kill while the delay is on. It takes practise to use properly, but over time it becomes very effective for the entire team of mouthbreathers who don't know how Necrolyte works. It's nicer to play with coordinated team though, pubs get tunnelvision too much to let their mates get any kills. Perfect your skill to use scythe well and you'll end up being the hidden carry of the game.
Necrolyte is the one hero I don't mind stealing my kills.
Tomokazu Sugita as Juggernaut/Sven. Norio Wakamoto as Pugna. Valve pls.
Hiro Shimono as Shadow Shaman. Yoko Hikasa as Drow. Valve do it.
Daisuke Ono as Pudge. Just imagine.
very funny valve
I just survived a Brewmaster solo hard lane and went 9-1. I was against a Sniper and a Tiny.
With the balance patch being released before TI3, do you think we'll get a double hero release of Legion and Abbadon? Valve had quite a while to get some work done on them, so who knows.
guys im fucking done [t]http://i.imgur.com/NvTXFuB.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/3Dh7CoG.png[/t]
I bet 4 rares on tongfu and 3 rares on eg

What's up anyway with chinese people trying to not acknowledge there are skeletons inside them at this very moment
Incase you aren't watching TI3 Eastern qualifiers mith trust currently have morph against #PinoyPride Mineski. The morphling isn't doing much but it's cool to see him anyway.

Video Games ain't sacred, yet.
Does it include Chinese and Korean voice lines? [editline]23rd May 2013[/editline] Just checked it doesn't change anything. The text still stays English but the weirdest part is that characters don't talk now.
It has to download a whole new file before you can do it, 651 mb. But yeah, these lines are still pretty buggy
First time I've ever seen a Drow pick in comp games.
the thing i don't like about necrolyte is that all i seem to be doing is spamming death pulse once in a while and stealing everyone's kills.
his ENTIRE FUCKING SKILLSET is based around getting the last hit, that's like complaining a goddamn faceless void steals kills. PSA: NECROLYTE IS A CARRY, IF YOU MAKE HIM PLAY IN A SUPPORT ROLE YOU ARE A BAD PERSON
my friend insists that necro is a support because his dota2 role card has 2 stars in support and only 1 in carry
Necro in anything other than a 3/2 position is fucking retarded imo. Speaking of which, am I the only one who thinks position 5 is stupid and should be a shared 4? I can't think of any support hero on whom I wouldn't like to have at least something like Tranq's and Force Staff.
I enjoy playing Necro support but I still build like a carry.
some supports just need the gold more than others to be useful (4) enigma, tide, sandking some supports get more farm than other supports in a normal situation (usually also 4) chen, enchantress and some just dont need that much gold to be useful, just need to get their spells off in a fight. (5) so they are dedicated to buy wards, smoke, sentries, dust etc... bane, kotl, lina having 2 4position supports means that you will have to dedicate more farm for them, and less for the 3 core heroes i hope i didnt say anything wrong
I've always played necro as more or less a tanky utility/semi carry his Q turns him into a walking fountain for the team, plus he constantly deals dps to the opposing team, also, his ult combined with his passive give him massive durability

Bane
I get your point, but I take it as you haven't seen a Bane with Necro 3 + Aghanim's + Blink. He can still do his things while being in the 5-position, but if you let Bane farm you won't regret it if enemy has a huge lategame carry.
