it is the worst to have to restart your game in the middle of a game and find there's an update waiting that won't actually update

Personally I'd be interested in seeing how they've done Arc Warden, namely how he looks. But yeah; Legion Commander and Abaddon would be likely for a tri-hero update. Then again they might just do a two-hero update instead, even though a tri-hero update would in theory be cooler.

I'd rather have Phoenix.
