late radiance is awful period. it's worse than a late midas imo
This is not true. It's great on certain heroes, especially Spectre against blink heroes, even if it's late.
You shouldn't be so narrow-minded and categorise items in DOTA2.
cough necro with radiance late game cough

I dunno, I'm losing to easy bots atm.
0-11 Lycan and 0-8 drow aren't helping that.
I'm just practicing Ursa and Skeleton King :V
;40789958']I'm just practicing Ursa and Skeleton King :V
You should probably start out with support heroes that are easy, such as Lich, Lina, Lion, Earthshaker if you want to play mana management: the game
Skeleton King requires positioning and farming ability, Ursa requires retarded enemies.
You should probably not play Ursa, Bloodseeker, Slark or Sniper.

What about Io or Lina? Or Luna, for that matter?
;40790031']What about Io or Lina? Or Luna, for that matter?
Wisp is one of the hard heroes you shouldn't try out either, along with Meepo, Visage, Lone Druid and to some extent Invoker.
Edited my post to include Lina, and Luna is a carry.
The reason you'd generally not want to play carries is because as a carry your team is directly dependant on your farming to win, while as a support you just have to focus on defending and helping your carry, if you fail you don't instantly lose the game.
Luna is quite simple, but you shouldn't pick her unless you can farm.

So, including Lich, what other supports are easy shits to play as?
;40790131']So, including Lich, what other supports are easy shits to play as?
Lich, Venomancer, Warlock, Sven, and Tidehunter are all good choices.
;40790031']What about Io or Lina? Or Luna, for that matter?
Io is a pretty hard support. The best early learning tools are Crystal Maiden (great disable and slow, lack of mana problems compared to others), Vengeful Spirit (reliable ranged stun nuke on a support) and Windrunner (good stun that takes a bit of practise, hard to kill, high damage long range nuke) in my opinion
[editline]27th May 2013[/editline]
Also teamfight ultimate heroes are great, Tide, Sand King and Lich are other really good options as they have good disables, teamfight ulti's and play support roles. Teamfight heroes like this are also really fun to play so they should encourage you to play more
So in a nutshell don't play Invoker, gotcha :v:
I'm gonna go Lich in pubs now, anyone for a party?
windrunner is great for starters

I'm down, actually. I'm still kinda newish myself. Add me on Steam.

Bot difficulty works like this:
Easy - your team's bots are easy, enemy bots are medium
Medium - Both are medium
Hard - Your bots are medium, enemy bots are Hard
Unfair - Your bots are Easy, enemy bots are Unfair
i wouldn't recommend CM for a new player, her skills are amazing but they're on the shittiest possible chassis you could use. being a slow, squishy, vulnerable, low damage hero is not a great place to be when you're new and don't know how to deal with it!

No, you see...
Lycan and Drow were humans.
how does he build spectre?
He used to max Desolate last (kill me please), but he now maxes it second (still bad) on her after dagger.
His item build is also silly. He can't decide what item build he wants to go either. He goes for an early drums but never builds Diffusal, builds a Radiance but still goes for Manta (even though he lacks a Diffusal and Heart is the better choice after Radiance).

holy shit what does this mean
Personally on the rare occasions where I played Spectre I got one point in dagger for escapes, then maxed Dispersion, then Desolate, then the dagger.

You usually want to max Desolate its pure damage after all, it makes you fucking scary at level 7 you can basically get a kill with it, Dispersion is somewhat useless until you tank up a bit.
