In the queue for my first actual game, hope I don't embarrass myself too bad.
This fake changelog always makes me smile. "Arcane aura now gives 0.5%/0.75%/1%/1.25% of MAX MP per second (x1.5 for CM)" is so hilariously stupid.
And buffing Warlock even more.
Plasma Field ministunning. Jesus christ.
I know it's a hilariously bad build, but pubstomper Ursa turned into Sanic Ursa with an average of 459 speed. When under Shadow Blade's effects it actually hit the cap of 522 :v: Had Vlad, Shadow Blade, Boots of Travel, Sange & Yasha, Abyssal Blade and Heart of Tarrasque. Jesus christ, the amount of juking I managed with that was hilarious. An invisible hedgebear runs in, slams the ground and kills someone then runs away yelling something about them being too slow. Pushed lanes, ganked Clockwerk and Luna constantly, ran away from Queen of Pain because fuck that blink and wrecked creep waves about as fast as Luna. This is never going to work against a competent team but I don't care. Shit's just wayyy too much fun. Obviously, I had Green Hill playing in the background the whole time. Swiket was playing normally and so was pretty much everyone else except me. Still won.

There's some good stuff to, but most of it is utterly broken.
Yeah, there's a ton of retarded stuff in there like that. There's some good stuff to, but most of it is utterly broken.
Bloodseeker: Strength gain incresed from 2 to 2.5 Agility gain incresed from 3 to 3.5 Thirst now gives 7.5% / 12.5% / 17.5% / 22.5% to an ally hero of BS (if the hero is in 6000 range from target and 1500 from BS) I sure would love to increse and give 7,5% to an ally hero (of bs)
Also, I love how one of the "changes" to Slark was that his ult gives bonus armor and magic resist when activated. Leaving aside the fact that the passive effects of his ult only work if they can't see you, Why on earth would this be nessecary? You're invisible, and have a purge to get rid of things that reveal you. Resist is kinda pointless when shit can't hit you in the first place.
what about gems and sentries
what about gems and sentries
True, but i still feel like it's a silly change. And if they have a gem or sentry, you're well advised to slip away and fight later when you can either take the gem or deward.
Slark getting armour/mr while ulting is actually pretty huge He's really slippery but pays for it by being squishy once he's caught, but with bonus armour and mr... [editline]26th May 2013[/editline] Of course, that's why it's just a fake changelog
Don't talk about that fake changelog, talk about THIS fake changelog!
Batrider - Sticky Napalm can now be purged and is removed on Magic Immunity. - Neutral creeps do not ignore being Sticky Napalmed anymore. - Disallowed Batrider access to impassable areas on the map borders when using Firefly. Bane - Nightmare mechanics tweaked: | | The nightmared unit is now completely invulnerable and | doesn't wake up from spell damage, except from Bane's | own spells. | | Bane also has the ability to wake the unit up at any | time through his sub-ability. | | Other units can still transfer the debuff to | themselves. Any attack order from less than | 400 units will instantly transfer it, even from | non-adjacent melee units. - Brain Sap now heals Bane for the amount of damage it actually dealt. Butcher - Armor increased by 1. - Meat Hook's damage tweaked: | | Deals 100/160/220/280 pure damage on impact + 10 per | 100 units dragged. Chaos Knight - Chaos Bolt tweaked: the damage is now always inversely proportional to the stun duration. - Reality Rift now rotates both heroes by a random angle (doesn't always guarantee a Tether stun). - Reality Rift now destroys trees around it. - Reality Rift now dodges projectiles. Chen - Remade Test of Faith's nuke: | | old: deals random 200-400 pure damage | | new: The Holy Knight punishes the unrepentant | for each mortal sin they committed. | | Deals 20/80/140/200 pure damage + bonus damage | depending on the number of allied units that the | enemy hero killed in the last 30 seconds. | | Lane/neutral creep: +10 damage | Persuaded creep: +40 damage | Hero: +100 damage - Test of Faith's teleport now dodges projectiles. Clockwerk - Tweaks to Power Cogs: slightly reduced their size, increased count from 8 to 10, added animation when they are ejected from Clockwerk, now deployed in a circle shape. Behavior stays almost the same, but it is easier now to see and predict how the spell will react. - Hookshot now dodges projectiles. Crystal Maiden - Movespeed increased by 5 - Brillance Aura increased by 0.5 at all levels. Dazzle - Shallow Grave can now be cast on magic immune allies. - Weave also affects creeps. Drow Ranger - Marksmanship reworked: | | "The Drow ranger has refined her archery prowess | along her solitary existence. Whether this is now | habit or shyness, she is only able to focus when | left alone." | | Passively grants 40/60/80 agility, but bonus | is lost if any allied hero is within 400 aoe. Enigma - Demonic Conversion can be cast on any item left on the ground, apart from Divine Rapier. Gyrocopter - Flak cannon reduces Gyrocopter's attack speed by 40%. - Base intelligence decreased by 3. Morphling [Partial remake, emphasis on making him truer to his morphling theme, and sort of a unique anti-carry] - Stats reworked: | | BAT nerfed from 1.7 to 1.8 | Strength changed to 20+2 | Agility changed to 20+2 | Intelligence changed to 20+2 - Morph reworked: | | Rate increased from 1/2/3/4 to 2/3/4/5 per second. | Shifting stats keeps Morphling's hp proportional. | Manacost removed. - Replicate reworked: | | Morphling assumes the shape of another unit. Can be any | hero or creep. Morphling assumes every particularity of | the unit: damage, range, movespeed, animations, stats, | etc. He retains his own items and his own spells (he | can Morph his new stats if he replicated a hero). Nature's Prophet - Agility gain decreased from 1.9 to 1.4. - Treants gold bounty increased from 12-16 to 22-26. Experience increased from 20 to 30. Lina - Fiery Soul max stacks increased to 4. - Aghanim's Scepter upgrade tweaked: | | Doesn't increase damage nor range anymore. | Damage type is changed to pure. | (note: this effectively gives the same damage | increase as before against targets with 25% magic | resistance) Lifestealer - Infest AoE damage now only occurs when consuming a creep (allied or enemy). - Rage can be purged. Lion - Mana Drain can now increase Lion's mana beyond his max pool, in similar fashion to Soul Ring. Lasts a maximum of 15 seconds. - Mana Drain can be cast on allies to transfer mana. - New Aghanim's Scepter upgrade: | | If Finger of Death deals the killing blow, the unit is | successfully turned inside out in a gory explosion, | dealing mixed damage equivalent to 25% of the target's | max hp in a 700 aoe. Lone Druid - Spirit Bear tweaked: | | Spirit Bear's hp rescaled from 1400/1800/2300/2700 to | 1000/1600/2200/2800. | | The death of the Spirit Bear now inflicts damage to the | Lone Druid equivalent to 20% of his own max hp instead | of fixed damage. | | Spirit Bear's mana pool changed from 0 to 0/0/150/300. | | Entangle changed to an active ability. 14 seconds | cooldown, 150 manacost. - Spirit Bear now uses the hero version of Armlet of Mordiggian (receives correct damage and attack speed bonuses, health is drained). Razor - Strength gain increased from 1.7 to 2.4 - Reworked how Unstable Current's purge works: | | The purge is only activated once, when an enemy hero | damages Razor through a spell or an attack, or when | Razor damages an enemy hero through a spell or attack. | | The purge is ready after a 24/18/12/6 seconds cooldown | or after Razor travels 1800/1400/1000/600 units. - Eye of the Storm is now passive (can be toggled off). When the duration | ends, 50% of the total damage count is dispersed around | Spectre while Spectre is healed for the other 50%. | | Lasts 4 seconds, 30 seconds cooldown, no manacost. | | (note: using the active doesn't disable the | passive part. It is indistinguishable for | enemies.) Spirit Breaker - Nether Strike now always hits in a AoE (previously Aghanim's Scepter only). - Aghanim's Scepter cooldown reduction from 20 seconds to 14. Tauren Chieftain (Elder Titan) - Earth Splitter AoE gets slightly wider with additional levels. The effect lasts 60 seconds, and can be used on an empty slot. | In DotA: type "-smoke #slotnumber". | In DOTA2: right-click on smoke to choose slot. Tango of Essification - If left on the ground for 20 seconds, will spawn a tree. (cannot block creeps movement)
I played a game as storm where the whole game I was sort of transparent like the static remnant... My friend in the same game said I looked normal though. Really bizarre, respawning etc. made no difference. [t]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/577864380309644648/397961587476CF8020A037BF29A74CB6D6437A33/[/t]
Evidently XBOCT mentioned on SLTV with Casper that the courier won't be able to refill the bottle in 6.78.
Don't talk about that fake changelog, talk about THIS fake changelog!
Magnus - Skewer is interrupted if Magnus gets disabled. I could actually agree with this.
my personal favourites are
Drow Ranger - Marksmanship reworked: | | "The Drow ranger has refined her archery prowess | along her solitary existence. Whether this is now | habit or shyness, she is only able to focus when | left alone." | | Passively grants 40/60/80 agility, but bonus | is lost if any allied hero is within 400 aoe. That smoke thing is creative but useless It's pretty much always just going to be a blink. Only use I can see for it is pretending you have a blink when you don't.
my personal favorite
Ursa: Base agi. increased by 5 Fury Swipes makes target to bleed. Target loosing 4% of its primary attribute with every hit for 10 seconds. Up to 20% Enrage gives 10/20/30 srt. when activated
- Replicate reworked: | | Morphling assumes the shape of another unit. Can be any | hero or creep. Morphling assumes every particularity of | the unit: damage, range, movespeed, animations, stats, | etc. He retains his own items and his own spells (he | can Morph his new stats if he replicated a hero). im prety sure this is how replicate used to work before it got changed long ago
I like this one
- Decrepify can now be cast on allied Healing Ward, Frozen Sigil, Tombstone, Psionic Trap and Homing Missile.
Sound like a real fun thing to do aside from the homing missile.
- Replicate reworked: | | Morphling assumes the shape of another unit. Can be any | hero or creep. you can still ambush junglers by infesting camps as naix ;)
Hello everyone, I've just started playing DOTA 2 and am currently enjoying Viper. How long until this enjoyment turns to despair and frustration?
Hello everyone, I've just started playing DOTA 2 and am currently enjoying Viper. How long until this enjoyment turns to despair and frustration?
until you stop playing with bots and start playing with real people who have retardatoin in the head
until you stop playing with bots and start playing with real people who have retardatoin in the head
Well I've done a few bot coop matches so far and the people I've been with SEEM to have been fairly confident and communicate nicely. I'm worried that will all change when I hop into PvP.
probably. it all goes to shit when you can differ whats right and wrong in dota because your teammates will almost always do the wrong thing
Well I've done a few bot coop matches so far and the people I've been with SEEM to have been fairly confident and communicate nicely. I'm worried that will all change when I hop into PvP.
The first few games are terrible unless you luck out, not gonna sugar coat it. You'll probably be surrounded by stomps and abandons. It does get better though.

I'm worried that will all change when I hop into PvP.
Pretty much. The matchmaking system is a bit iffy. You'll be bunched with silent partners or people who blame their mistakes on the ping.
Well I've done a few bot coop matches so far and the people I've been with SEEM to have been fairly confident and communicate nicely. I'm worried that will all change when I hop into PvP.
People in bots games are real chill (most of the time)
i've been playing a bunch of bot games again recently because i can only use my laptop and holy crap everyone there is so polite and friendly and stuff i don't know whether it's because it's mostly newer players who haven't been corrupted yet or because these people have spent their entire dota careers playing bot games but it's kind of astonishing it helps that the queue times are so short and that you generally get matched with the same teammates multiple times, you really build some fun friendships
