aside from the movespeed my honest answer would probably be something like a sheepstick or rod instead
yeah i guess rod is better in all aspects since it gives you movespeed by slowing your enemy anyway and bonus hp
To give an example of what I mean, here's a guide I follow for a champion I play a lot of in LoL. http://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/build/annie-the-nukers-guide-s3-289287 Notice the "standard finish" items. There are some situational late game items listed below, e.g. get this for more magic resist if the enemy team has lots of casters. However, for most games, you'll want the "standard finish". Is this idea applicable to Dota 2, or is there too much variation for there to be a standard endgame for each hero?
There are "cookie cutter" builds, but there is not always the same build. Games change, and some of your items may be to weaken the enemy's effectiveness, or to ensure that your team remains on top during fights. P.S. You should try Warlock based on who you posted, he has a golem that is similar to Annie's ult. And when you Have Refresher Orb and Aghanim's Scepter, you can have four of them.
Does anyone have a good way to counter Viper?
silencer shits on viper in laning
Does anyone have a good way to counter Viper?
silencer is good, use Curse of the Silent on him as he cant debuff i without his ult (which he doesnt have til level 6, and ithas a high cooldown and mana cost anyways). Silencers Glaives of Wisdom also cut through his magic resistance
max skoochi skoochi treads, lincoln's, radiance, mkb fun as hell to play
phase boots or no boots at all, imho I can see the appeal in treads/tranquils for survivability and shit but Weaver is a squishy Hero anyway so more damage instead. And Linken's gives you that survivability, rest is on your positioning and skills, i.e. dodging spells and just being elusive. [editline]29th May 2013[/editline] but other than Linken's and Boots and early game shit like Aqila/Magic Wand, Weaver needs pure damage from items asap; (Radi), Mkb, Butterfly, Rapier.

30 attack speed is kinda pointless on a hero who has a cooldown on his imba double attack ability
30 attack speed is kinda pointless on a hero who has a cooldown on his imba double attack ability
the more attacks you do while it's off cooldown the better.
What's best, 522 movespeed+invis, double damage every 2 seconds, or the ability to throw 30 damage -1 armor per hit things at super slow movespeed that costs a third of your manapool and gives minor vision. Hint: never get q over w or e, at most you could maybe possibly perhaps just sometimes get one point in q.
Really, swarm is underrated as hell. You don't need the super amazing double dmg until later.
Pros says that going 1 point into the passive and maxing Shukuchi Swarm and stats is way better than maxing the passive, but i dont know i hardly play Weaver.
Pros says that going 1 point into the passive and maxing Shukuchi Swarm and stats is way better than maxing the passive, but i dont know i hardly play Weaver.
taking stats over geminate is bad taking geminate second is also bad it should be maxed last once weaver has his mkb and other useful shit
taking stats over geminate is bad taking geminate second is also bad it should be maxed last once weaver has his mkb and other useful shit
No what i said is getting 1 point into Germinate and THEN get stats
No what i said is getting 1 point into Germinate and THEN get stats
it's really fucking stupid no matter how you word it geminate is not the skill to max out early, but it's also not one to miss out on
ThatsWhatISaidFromTheBeginning But then again who cares, there is nothing set in stone.
Anyone else think Magnus is a big OP pile of shit? I don't mind RP by itself but everything else he does synergizes with it too perfectly.
ThatsWhatISaidFromTheBeginning But then again who cares, there is nothing set in stone.
tiny is
Anyone else think Magnus is a big OP pile of shit? I don't mind RP by itself but everything else he does synergizes with it too perfectly.
Pleeeeease don't drag up this fucking topic again. Last time we fought for about 3 or 4 pages before everyone decided to agree to disagree. Is he very powerful and sometimes overwhelming? Yes. Is he utterly broken and equivocal to an instant win? No.
I don't think rp is that imbalanced, but empower sure is retarded with that insanely short cooldown. Well now that I mention cooldowns, maybe it should be a bit bigger, i mean 120/110/100 is pretty low for an ulti of such caliber.
When the hell did this happen?
About a week ago. I may be exagerating, it wasn't the sole focus of the pages, but it at least spanned 3 pages.
tiny is
Speaking of Tiny, should be have more cosmetics? Currently all he has is that "Elemental Ice Infusion", which sounds like a tea that the Keeper would have in his collection. Maybe a lava-based cosmetic that makes him darker with red lines would be kinda cool?
it's really fucking stupid no matter how you word it geminate is not the skill to max out early, but it's also not one to miss out on
I think Geminate very useful to early harass.
He's only fun when you successfully land your Qs
People miss their Q's as Magnus? [editline]29th May 2013[/editline]
taking stats over geminate is bad taking geminate second is also bad it should be maxed last once weaver has his mkb and other useful shit
Maxing Geminate second is fantastic, what are you smoking? It improves your farming rate by a lot.
Geminate gives amazing early game damage+harass as well. I don't know why you would ever not max it second, maybe I just play Weaver differently because I always go super aggressive.
Geminate gives amazing early game damage+harass as well. I don't know why you would ever not max it second, maybe I just play Weaver differently because I always go super aggressive.
Super aggressive into rapier rush. 600 damage on attack before 18 minutes is no joke.
So, legion commander in the test today? Please valve....please.
I used to play WoW. Being on a server with about 95% alliance, doing raids was not a particularly hard thing. I eventually tried my hand at tanking, a thankless job. Nobody ever mentions your tanking unless you fuck up. One particular moment that comes to mind was when I tanked for a group with 2 Death Knights who DPS'd in Blood Presence. For the unaware, Blood Presence makes your attacks generate extra aggro. I worked my ass off at an unprecedented pace, praying to a god I never really believed in that we could make it through this encounter at least somewhat unscathed. Sadly, it wasn't meant to be. I eventually reached a point where I couldn't keep up with the 2 fuckwads and they died. A healer buddy of theirs took this as his cue to stop giving a shit (you get 3 guesses who he was supposed to focus on). I died, raid wiped. I get called a useless shithead. I bring this up because tanking in WoW was the most thankless job I'd ever seen/had. Note the use of past tense in that sentence. I am just about fucking done with playing support in pubs, or maybe I should say the community's general total fucking ignorance about them. You have to do everything and more but without any credit or reward whatsoever. Here's a list of mortal sins, at least one of each being committed by every single fucking pub I've played. 1. Your role is support? Right, you're at 5. Period. I don't fucking care if you can do your job better with a little bit of farm, you and your last hits can go fuck themselves. Speaking of... 2. Get courier, upgrade courier, buy wards, place them, deward, get mek, get pipe, preferably 5 minutes ago. I don't care if you're the only person with the brains to pick support, just don't you dare take last hits. Oh yeah, and make sure you keep up on xp with the rest of the team. 3. Oi shithead, stop taking my farm. Shut the hell up, auto-attacking the creeps is how you farm, I ain't taking shit from a support. Don't take last hits I'm not gonna get, just leave em. 4. Wow, thanks for feeding. Really being useful there, throwing the game for us. Your fault for getting focused. 5. Thanks for the killsteal faggot. You should've just cancelled that last auto-attack that was way out of range for me that killed him (actually had this one happen almost verbatim more than I'd like to recall). 6. So, game's ended. We won. Good job carries. 7. So, game's ended. We lost. Thanks a bunch support. Going 0/15 for getting focused/ganked, constantly (de)warding and getting ganked in the process more than once, thanks a lot. Shut up, eat shit. It's awfully similar to tanking in WoW except you actually have a chance at getting something nice/useful in WoW because the item drop system in Dota 2 is a cruel joke. If the item drop system were a person, I'm pretty sure it'd be like this at the end of a match. Let's see, abusive Viper gets a rare, feeding Jug gets an announcer, poorly skilled Beastmaster gets a cool BM item, support gets nothing. What, winning the match isn't enough reward (damn near slammed my keyboard to bits when my team once had the gall when I complained about everyone on my team getting cool items except me who got nothing)? Fine, fine, have a crate. Oh, you don't want a crate? Fine, have a common. You don't play Morphling, Axe or Anti-Mage? Like, ever? Stop looking at me like it's my problem. And if you aren't being treated like shit, it's cunt russians or cunt mexicans or whatever speaking their own language until they need something from you or if you fuck up. Dude, we told you to go bot with Jug, not my fault you don't speak Spanish. You queue for English, speak English you inbred pile of shit. I actually kinda liked playing support in pubs at first because it's a relatively easy way of expanding my roster but the novelty wore off a while ago. Now I'm just stuck in a circle of having the brains to pick support, being treated like shit and being rewarded likewise.

get some friends and queue with them
