I love that Necrolyte change. Buying a scepter might actually be a good idea now. Maybe.
- Most players won't even notice the ward change. Most comp players probably won't either. It's not as big of a deal as you make it, it's just a tad extra gold to pull camp block and that's about it.
I would use the laugh louder video, but it's not worth a ban.
How shit are you/your teammates at supporting that you only ever buy a single set of wards?
So no more bear armlets?
Just when I start liking LD, too. :suicide:
Remember, this is right off the bat. It's a change that literally only effects the first 6 minutes of the game. It's not that big of a deal, and honestly kind of wondering what sort of matches you play where 2 extra wards on the screen make the difference in the first 6 minutes.

pretty sure it makes for more exciting dota anyway
less vision on the map = more room for ganking kids
- It's a gimmick for a boring hero who had an entirely useless Aghs upgrade previously. Anything at all is a good thing for Necro
I didn't think a gimmick could take someone out of the game for more than a minute.
- The Doom thing isn't OP. Not by a long shot. Super annoying, yea, but not broken. Doom was already teetering between balanced and slightly underpowered and this will push him further from that line
-Doom has a free hand of midas.
-He has good early game ganking potential.
-He has a nuke that can take out 1/5th of the enemies health.
-He has a DOT pure silence that pierces bkb with great damage.
-He can have either a weak stun, armour aura, or an aura that increases his team and his own damage by 30% and have a free crit.
Yeah, hes definitely a slightly underpowered hero.
- "On command" is ignoring the 5 minute cool down. Implying that late game kills are meaningless is silly. Late game gold is incredibly important because late game items are crazy expensive.
A bloodstone with enough charges can heal your team to full health instantly and you will respawn really fast anyway. Even if you just rush a bloodstone and your just snowballing. If the enemy manages to kill you, you would have killed yourself with the new active and denied them all of the spree gold they would have gotten.
- Skeleton King's simplicity was his downfall. He's just boring and not really powerful because he doesn't really do anything significant. Now he can harass a lane easily and have a good chance at first blood. Also a good excuse to not just level stats constantly.
Skeleton king's simplicity was what made him an amazing carry for people who are just learning the game. The new skill doesn't help him much in terms of harass as he's a melee hero. Melee heroes are terrible at harassing. He should be leveling stats anyway because without stats, he can only cast his stun once.

You realize that without a second set of wards, it makes a carry or offlaner extremely vunerable to ganks? The best way to prevent an enemy from pulling is to ward the pull camp. If they enemy can pull, it makes it very hard for you to safely get experience and gold and it will put you in a position that makes you very easy to gank.

you shouldnt be playin a carry if you're just learning the game anyways :v:
anyone who knows how to play can juggle more than one ability
and yet you've done jack shit to make a counter point
posting "lol nublet scrub" isn't a counter point
You completely ignored the context of the question and called me childish withotu addressign the argument.
I called you childish not because of your argument, but because you're flaming over a non-implemented change log that may still likely be changed. If there's massive problems with this, than that's what sub-patches are for. But throwing a hissy fit over them and calling everybody who disagrees with you dumb is childish.
And besides, less wards available at the start is a good thing: Too much vision early game grinds the pace to a halt as nobody can gank at all.

You seem to think the word "gimmick" comes with a negative slant. It doesn't.
Which is why he was first ban/pick in... oh wait, he was rarely picked at all.
Something you can only do once every 5 minutes. This change just gives Bloodstone a neat active, it's not gamebreaking.
Skeleton king can be played identical to how he used to be. Just ignore the active and he's the same hero he's always been.
this change makes no change to warding the pull camp. It just makes it more expensive since you need to use sentries.
Some people just seem opposed to any little metagame shake up. I guess they like their game boring and stale.

because they use sentries to block camps
pro tip: don't try and slam other people if you don't know what you're talking about either

uh just as a point all of these changes are already in dota 1 and will likely be in dota 2 next week, they're not "non-implemented"
I'm not sure I'm a fan of Clockwerk nerfs. It kinda feels like this whole update is gonna turn the game into complete chaos for the first few days it releases :v

people play Doom as a hard carry, thats why they fail at him. i've seen teams throw games purely because their hard carry is doom. he gets a lot of gold sure but his skills compliment his carry status very well. He should be a utility semi-carry/tank due to his innate ability to carry creep auras, his survivability and he amasses gold which allows him to get nice aura's like AC or Radiance, but compared to other hard carries he just can't offer the DPS other heroes can. Sure a 3800 HP doom with BKB may seem scary but there are heroes in the game that can hit 3x harder then a fully farmed doom

Welcome to every Dota patch ever.
Now people have no excuse to not chase as doombringer
I guess people will rush scepter instead of radiance/AC/shiva's, since the ugprade is insane in teamfights
Also realised many of my favourite heroes got buffed

I always refer to dota 2, sorry
while the agha doom change sounds nice on paper, in reality it's pretty mediocre IMO
who really needs infinite doom when you can build other stuff with the 4.2k gold and kill the target faster with your huge attacks and chasing ability
if it would refresh the doom ulti when you're in the 550 AoE then I guess that's pretty neat but who would want to chase the target for a long time, the target can just run to their team and you're dead
Just played a game as Clock where pretty much all team except me and Sand king lost hopes of winning.
Our carries had bad farm and their carries were a bit too strong at that time. We need to isolate the enemy and fight them 1 v many. Guess what, it's exactly what Clockwerk excels at. Eventually Lycan and Life got farmed, and using Sandy's ult and other fun things we decimated them.

no you're 100% right doom is an overpowered monster
that's why he's not even picked in pro games, there's a unwritten code of honour among the international teams that they don't pick him because of how broken he is
what has icefrog done!!!!!!!

He's picked a LOT in Eastern DotA, and he wasn't saying Doom was overpowered at all, he was just saying that he's by FAR not underpowered.
And this buff will make him used even more.

There's literally nothing that goes through Doom now. This makes it so that pretty much everyone besides Medusa is useless lategame too. You fail to realize that Doom also turns off all evasion, crits, and most other item and passive effects too. Spectre is useless now too.
Making it last forever being near him makes it so that if he Doom's your carry, your team can't just go in the teamfight anyway and still expect your carry to come up and kill once the duration is off, no, you have to WAIT a long damn time now (and god help you if the enemy team decides to go on your now worthless carry).

Also, if you do manage to kill doom, or escape him, you still have the 12 seconds or so of Doom anyways, which might still be your death.
I think it's a nice idea, it forces you to either kill Doom quickly or escape quickly, and if you fail at either the target is most likely dead.

And it's pretty hard to escape Doom, especially when he has Scorched Earth up and you can't use any items (including phase boots and shadow blade).
So I made a guide for Juggernaut that focuses on synergy with his skills and items.
I made a nifty picture too:
