So after all this Treant-praising I decided to try him. Nope, not fun at all with a 4-man russian team.

I don't find his gameplay fun either. But then again, I consider Void to be the least interesting character to play in the game, so my opinion may or may not count.
i love playing heroes like Void, it just gives you motivation to continue playing when you're behind because you know you'll be stronger if you can get your shit together
"ffs naix use armlet fucking noob" Mirana hits for 400 regular damage and crits for 1100+, and his response is "who cares use armlet" :v:
I remember how you guys were saying that Treant is the worst hero possible and now look at you.
Once played with warlock and i had a strange experience: I missed one team fight because i was busy warding and stacking the ancients My entire team died and i saw that the enemy team wanted to push our top tower even though they were quite hurt So i went to the top lane, used fatal bonds on them and then casted my ulti on top of them The sensation of getting an ultra kill as a support
I remember how you guys were saying that Treant is the worst hero possible and now look at you.
He's still fairly meh in my opinion, the buff to his block is amazing but beyond that his skills dont synergize. Lots of heroes can do what he should be doing, but better.

I started as top lane and things weren't going so hot, mind I say that this was one of my first times playing warlock. So fast forward 10 minutes and we have a huge team fight going on in mid. So I slam down my ulti on everyone just as my entire team is going to die because they got the jump on us. When my ulti had hit.... man did the tables turn ever so much. We ended up killing them all. Fast forward another 10 minutes and I now have my refresher orb and my scepter. That is 2 per ulti with scepter and than an extra 2 with refresher orb. We were slowly making our push into their base, and they try to stop us and I quickly run over to where about 3-4 of them are drop down my ulti, use my refresher, than drop my second on on the 1-2 people I missed. Than let 4 golems tank our way into their base in which case ended the game. Needless to say... warlock, when done okay can be turned into a lot of fun! Been thinking of uploading the replay lol
Nothing beats throwing your scepter + refresh ult when the enemy is in the Roshan pit. Nuclear meltdown.
I'll admit, I do like Warlock; Fatal Bonds is good for hurting crowds, Shadow Word is a decent DoT that doubles as a heal, and the power of Chaotic Offering goes without saying. However, I don't often find myself using Upheaval all that often for some reason, and though I know that a good player should make full use of their skills, I just haven't seen many opportunities in my Warlock games where Upheaval would turn the tide of a battle, since if I'm channelling I've likely already popped all my other skills beforehand. Speaking of Chaotic Offering, the last time I played Warlock I got Aghanims, and when we started pushing bot, I said "oh hi, I heard you like demons", and then there were demons. And it was good. Next time I roll Warlock, I think I should probably grab Necronomicon as well, for the extra demons.
oh man, skywrath's face when my nether ward kept killing him in every teamfight. guy was so fucking mad :v:.

warlock is one of the few supports that is expected to score kills.
I remember how you guys were saying that Treant is the worst hero possible and now look at you.
Living armor used to be a glorified tango delivery service. Post-buff it is diffraction for your entire team.
warlock is one of the few supports that is expected to score kills.
His Golem is both a great initiation AND ganking tool. It does pretty solid damage, hurts everything in front of it with the proc, and has a decent health pool considering it's a summoned unit. So many people get scepter/refresher because having one Golem is great, having two is wonderful, and having four is outright spectacular. You create your own army of tower pushing fire creatures.
people are forgetting the spawn of it though, a second stun through magic immunity in a massive AoE from a massive range can completely swing a teamfight
my god drow players are awful, I just had one on our team that just sat still at mid and let their tusk destroy her every time. she then blamed us as supports for not getting wards, but we were all game. she just wasnt paying attention at all or never and never called missing. she gets two wraith bands and then a morbid mask. we then laugh at her for doing such and she said it was our fault because we didnt have wards (hahaha what the fuck). she then gets a yasha (not even making a helm). we make fun of her more and she keeps calling us noobs and drow was a pro hero. i repeat that in all chat and everyone laughs at her. at the very end of the game she got her crystalist finally, but it was already over :v:. this was probably the only stomp where i actually was laughing and having fun the whole game.
Imo people are forgetting the most important thing from Refresher isn't the double ult/stun Fatal Bonds stacks. Double Refresher = Double Fatal Bonds = HUGE damage output. I'm talking "capable of clearing an entire team in 1 move" kind of huge.
I remember how you guys were saying that Treant is the worst hero possible and now look at you.
He's still mediocre at best - if you ignore Living Armor. That skill alone is so mindnumbingly strong it makes up for the rest of him being mediocre.
I wonder if there is a list of all the spells and shit that Slark's Dark Pact is able to purge and not?
I wonder if there is a list of all the spells and shit that Slark's Dark Pact is able to purge and not?

Some spells don't get removed, such as Doom Bringer's Doom, Axe's Battle Hunger, Ancient Apparition's Ice Blast, Bloodseeker's Rupture, Bane's Enfeeble, Witch Doctor's Maledict and Orb of Venom's slow.
right from the wiki
I wonder if there is a list of all the spells and shit that Slark's Dark Pact is able to purge and not?
From the top of my head, only Rupture/Doom/Battle Hunger/Ice Blast (AA Ult)/Maledict can't be purged (and Viper Strike once 6.78 hits). also see above
Leech Seed feels really underwhelming compared to his other skill imo.
He's still mediocre at best - if you ignore Living Armor. That skill alone is so mindnumbingly strong it makes up for the rest of him being mediocre.
Absolutely, I feel like he's still not a well designed hero His entire playstyle just comes down to living armour. Overgrowth is okay but treant himself offers very little after he casts that in a teamfight. Hoping to see living armour getting toned down to allow some room for fixing that
Any people playing at the moment?
Any people playing at the moment?
No, IceFraud killed the game with his 6.78 changes and we all went back to HoN
6.78b already came out, in case someone missed it. (just bugfixes.) http://www.playdota.com/changelogs/6.78b http://www.getdota.com/ And the customkeys for the two new heroes: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/33591364/cursor/CustomKeys.rar
So I heard that all the remaining Heroes will be released by the end of TI3? No/Yes?
So I heard that all the remaining Heroes will be released by the end of TI3? No/Yes?
Unlikely.
maybe all the CM enabled heroes if we're real lucky (they're only 3 left after LC and Abs are added, Techies, Terrorblade and Ember Spirit)
