I get pissed off when someone on my team spent $10 on the Pirate Captain announcer like why would one do such a thing
I got the Pirate Captain announcer as one of my first drops. Hated it, and traded it for the frostivus HUD.
blame the bracket and others it won't kill you to buy wards if you aren't a support
As the hardest carry in the game, being forced to buy wards is like committing genocide.
As the hardest carry in the game, being forced to buy wards is like committing genocide.
Considering that a 150 gold item can keep you alive for 6 minutes I'd say it's pretty cheap.
As the hardest carry in the game, being forced to buy wards is like committing genocide.
genocide? isnt that a good thing if youre the carry
3 and a half last hits every 6 minutes. I don't think it'll impact you that much. Either that, or be nice and give your supports a couple last hits here and there as long as you're doing well. Sure they can operate without money, but they'll do better with it.
genocide? isnt that a good thing if youre the carry
To your team. If there's a support who's mentally capable of warding, you should save your money. Forcing a carry, especially Medusa to do it when circumstances show that there's a capable one is horrible.
Personally if I'm a ranged support helping out a melee carry, I leave the melee creeps to them and take out the ranged creep in that wave, since they're usually occupied with the melee creeps and it's not like they can last-hit every single creep in the wave without at least 1 creep-kill or deny. So I usually take the ranged creep at the back as "upkeep" for stuff that helps the team like Flying Courier, Wards, items with a support aura like Drums/Basilius, and sometimes even a Clarity if they need extra mana.

All this talk of couriers and not a single mention of Snelfret? This is an older version of him, he's a bit lighter ingame. He has a super cool particle effect (slime on the ground and blue sparkles from his rockets) and he has boots of speed strapped to his head. His lore is also great: The original rebel snail, Snelfret refused to conform to a social order that enforced lethargy, a world that told him he must not move too fast. So he loaded up his shell and headed for more dynamic climes, determined to redefine the meaning of snail's pace. He's gotta go fast incarnate and he's a sassy little snail. Just look at that sassy-ass face. Mmm.
Anyone wanna vent about how much they dislike Rubick's Spellbinder set? Oh, and those are Boots of Travel on Snelfret's head.
Anyone wanna vent about how much they dislike Rubick's Spellbinder set? Oh, and those are Boots of Travels on Snelfret's head.
that set does have a big issue with clipping into other sets items, really kills it for me.
that set does have a big issue with clipping into other sets items, really kills it for me.
It clips, it's out of place, and the textures aren't very good either.
I still dislike the frog rubick set more.
As a person who plays medusa every so often, I can safely say that medusa is not the kind of hero you want to pick in a pub. Especially if you don't have a friend or two supporting you. She requires a quite a bit of lane support and she usually cannot help the team much in the early to midgame. This forces her team to pick either pushing heroes, or heroes that can stop a push and delay the enemy from taking towers/barracks. With an uncoordinated team, her uselessness is prolonged. But a coordinated team will turn her into an unconquerable late game monster. The only counter to Medusa is to end the game before she starts carrying (or pick faceless and hope for permabashes), which is unfortunately pretty late into the match. But with her new buff, it could be possible for her to turn on even faster and her hardcounter status against Cancer Lancer is increased. She's a great hero, but only if your team is coordinated.
Her new ult is INSANE and definitely improves her early-midgame viability.
Got 11 wins out of 13 games with friends in weekend (one of them never played MOBAs, we are teaching him how to snipah and missed so bad sometimes), so was basically all of them a 4vs5 match. Playing with random pubbers, 4 losts and counting.

Worst courier imo.
Soon we will have more couriers than actual heroes on Dota
First time playing WR. She's pretty fun. http://dotabuff.com/matches/212554036
What should you build on Medusa, besides the obvious Linken's? I played a game with her earlier today after the buff and had lots of fun.
What should you build on Medusa, besides the obvious Linken's?
I have yet to try her with her buff, but i usually go Drums/Linkens/Manta/Butterfly/Skadi, im too much of a chicken to go for a Rapier
Yeah, Rapiers scare me. I once solo queued as BH, bought a Rapier, then died and the enemy Chaos Knight grabbed it. I got yelled at the rest of the game.
What should you build on Medusa, besides the obvious Linken's? I played a game with her earlier today after the buff and had lots of fun.
Your standard AGI carry items work fine. Manta Style is a particular favorite thanks to the attack speed boost and if you activate it with Split Shot on, the illusions should get it as well.
Eye of Skadi is great on her as well. IMO build medusa as you would build non-shotgun Morphling.
You want hella +stat items + manta illusions split shotting
If I'm ancient farming as Medusa (on Radiant) I do this: - Start with standard Set of Wards + Tangoes/Quelling Blade so you can cut the hideout in the trees - Rush Midas ASAP - Once you get Midas, go kill the big camp below the mid lane, then return to farming dragons. Go kill the big creeps again when your Midas is off cooldown. - Build Treads next. Not only these make escaping potential ganks easier, but you spend less time walking bewteen ancients and the big creep camp. - After Treads get Manta. After that build whatever you need. Skadi for overall tankiness and good damage Linkens for also more durability BFly for excellent damage, armor+evasion helps vs mass carries Another Skadi for more stats Heart for making you all the more durable Rapier if you're sure you can't get killed (your team can keep you alive)
