Skadi are true core items on her and Morphling, nobody else benefits from the expensive +75 stat slot that they do. Skadi is a pretty damn big item

OD benefits the most from Skadi in my opinion. By stacking Skadis eventually you get to the point where you have so much mana that Mana Shield can't burn most of it. OD on the other hand benefits from all the stats, as none of them get redundant, ever.

I always feel cool late-game when I'm doing a decent amount of damage without any stats involved, especially as heroes who don't really rely on right-click damage (Tinker is my favorite example).

yep. I wouldn't really mind it at all, but the clipping is insane.
When a set clips with stock items, it should be instant refuse. Dota 2 is about mixing and matching and making your character unique, and you can't even use half the items without crazy amounts of clipping on Rubick's default loadout.
Not clipping with base items should be rule #1

the robe and shoulder of this set + councilor's mask and Aghanim's Scepter is what I use and I wouldn't have it any other way. (unless something better is added later) I love the set, and you can still very much tell it's Rubick, even with the mask (which looks nice with his default robe and the councilor's robes)
AND all the items work perfectly well with Rubick's default items, which makes it instantly better than the newer set.
Councilor's is the only good Rubick set, everything else is just too strange or unfitting. The slimy or overdetailed looks of the frog and tattered sets are just too much, Councilor's has Rubick actually dressed as the king of all wizards, as opposed to a toad in a hood or someone who just self-casted Fireblast.

Holy FUCK Aghanim's on Doom. I was able to beat the regen of TA's fountain with Doom by keeping in the 550 aoe to the point that I could kill her with lvldeath. When she entered the fountain, she went in with about half hp.

Reminds me about a time where a Bounty Hunter on my team bought a Rapier against a team with 3 VERY hard carries. Then he died. Then he got back the Rapier. Then he bought a SECOND Rapier. Then he died AGAIN. The next 30 minutes were a struggle for the Rapiers. We lost in the end.

Yeah, I barely farmed, and ES thought he was a carry and kept stealing my last hits. He even stole aegis from SB at one point.
I think it's a little silly to punish someone that harshly when there's a mute function ingame.

don't random, it's a bad idea. you'll get someone very hard.
check what heroes you play the most or enjoy playing, and then just pick heroes that are like those ones.
for instance, if you really like skeleton king, try picking troll warlord or void or something, or if you really like tidehunter, try picking enigma or treant.
Randoming's fun once you have a basic idea of all the heroes and what they do in-game
It's especially fun when you random a support and are easily able to buy courier + wards without breaking the bank
