Why do int carries (OD, Silencer) get Mek?
Why do int carries (OD, Silencer) get Mek?
Because mek is just a good item in general and those type of heroes have the advantage of being able to farm it very quickly.
Just fired up a solo game, decided to solo nyx on the offlane, no problem. As long as my reflexes are up to scratch I'll be fine. I didn't take a screenshot but my ping reached over 2500 in game - literally never seen ping so high (net_graph 1 lets you get readings if it's higher than 999, and you don't have to keep typing -ping in chat). Sufficed to say I politely told everyone I was leaving due to ping and that if they all leave immediately nobody will get an abandon. Amazingly, they actually complied so I didn't get an abandon. Faith restored in humanity (but not my isp).
It's like the ranged hero's vanguard, so I've been told.
Why do int carries (OD, Silencer) get Mek?
mek on od is great because it's an extra way of procing your essence aura esp when you're building it and only have the buckler
Why do int carries (OD, Silencer) get Mek?
Buckler on OD is a great way to refill Mana, and if you're going to build Buckler, it's not terribly expensive to just go all the way to Mek and help your team. Think about it. OD can burst his health AND mana up at the same time with one item. It's perfect for him.
It's like the ranged hero's vanguard, so I've been told.
It's basically a vanguard for the entire team. I like it on Axe, provided I have a reliable source of mana.
Why do int carries (OD, Silencer) get Mek?
I say it's mostly because int carries like OD, Silencer, and Necro don't get most of their damage from items (Though it helps), compared to other carries like AM or Void. Since Silencer and OD can steal Int, they can manage to buy some more supporty items like Mek or Force and still get some damage without really relying too much on items. They also usually have more than enough mana to support it (Compared to like Tide or Clock). Necro generally does most of his damage from simply using Death Pulse and Heart Stopper, so building tanky through Mek and Pipe can help him live long enough for those to matter. It also kind of opens a little bit more room for some supports to get more crucial items: Blink on ES and Tide, maybe Aghanims on Warlock and WD.
Why do int carries (OD, Silencer) get Mek?
armor and regen, mainly the armor
It's one of the best utility items early to mid game and int carries seem mostly utility-based. Like how OD and Silencer both get their damage from stacking int items; necro getting his damage by just staying alive
Oh no, wait... it did count as an abandon; the match just had to finish before it updated... :( Somehow, my team managed to win, too. A little pissed they didn't all quit but never mind. Does this mean I'm in low priority or do I need to get a couple? It's so long since I've got an abandon I've forgotten.
amazing was queueing with maxis and his friend picked dk, asked for mid this gyro who picked last told me to get off mid (even though I asked for it and thought no one else wanted it then), then when I pointed out that I actually called it, he decides to move to botlane while constantly saying "wow" gyro decided to shittalk me and that friend all game (for no discernible reason) then moments later maxis's computer messed up and couldn't reconnect, and despite my and the friend's attempts to pause, gyro kept unpausing, and when maxis got the abandon, gyro asked the other team to report him (over computer failure, pretty legit), then left moba communities are pretty cool
uh
Does each wand count when a spell is cast?
how do i see who's messing with the courier? too many times I've been matched with people who dump stuff in the trees then feed the courier and not knowing who to report
just report all of them [editline]10th June 2013[/editline] let gabe sort them out
just report all of them [editline]10th June 2013[/editline] let gabe sort them out
But. 2 reports a week.

One does not become Grand with just 1 magic wand. I've found a guy who's been screwing with the courier that way once. Haven't I, Maruhai?
Okay new Player here. Im on a 7 game winning streak playing dazzle and drow ranger. Im starting to get a hand on playing the game. Only problem I seem to be having is going mid while im drow. Annoying heroes such as Queen of Pain, Phantom Assassin, ect. Im getting harassed like a bitch and sometimes even dying at level 2... Anyway I can get advantage on the lane? Don't ever pick Sniper, he is a lot harder to play than it looks. 2. Drow sucks overall as a mid hero if your enemies are competent, you got long range but that's it, no rune control or good harass or other such things. 3. Try heroes such as Lich, Lina, Ogre Magi, Zeus, Sven or Chaos Knight for simple but effective gameplay (unlike Drow which requires positioning and isn't very effective either) 4. Of the heroes mentioned in this post, Drow Ranger, Sven (to some extent) and Chaos Knight requires competent farming ability, if you fail at farming you lose games.

[editline]10th June 2013[/editline] Here is my stats for more info http://dotabuff.com/players/81339468
honestly, I don't approve of drow on mid, but regardless, my advice: use your large range (625, most heroes have 500-600) and decent base damage (it'll get better really fast the more you level up though) to harass the enemies however, sometimes they're on the other side of the river, and will force you stand within 500 units of the creeps issuing an attack order on an enemy hero will cause any creeps within 500 units of you to attack you when that happens, manually cast your frost arrows like they were a spell, this allows you to harass your opponents without drawing creep aggro, since it technically counts as you casting a spell rather than attacking
Chaos Knight is not someone to be playing when you're that new, he's super mana intensive and his moves require some gameplay knowledge to synergize.
He's pretty simple if you learn the rule of not wasting mana, which is simple enough.

Don't get too close to the creeps. If your creep wave is gone then back off to the tower. Deny your own creeps when they are low on health to prevent your enemies from getting too farmed (If you don't know how to deny: You can press A and click on the creeps to deny them. It also works on buildings, items and heroes). I also wouldn't recommend playing Drow too much.
This is orb walking correct? I Meant to try to orb walk for sometime but never think to do it in game...
Orb walking is running along with your target while hitting them. Using frost arrows to avoid creep aggro is just convenient.
