What about Ench and OD? Them high amounts of true damage should destroy a carry Huskar.
blademail is the ultimate counter to huskar because it deals pure damage
double leveling aside that skillbuild is all over the place why do people think spreading skill levels around is a good idea??? why do people think maxing arrow first on mirana is a good idea???????
Some people are really confident with their arrows. And the manacost doesn't go up I guess.
yep i wonder how long it will take for him to get changed again
Honestly I would think the change would be fine if it wasn't for the supreme lack of pure damage dealers in the game. I can honestly only name two off the top of my head, and that's because I play them, and the only non-pure damage counters I can think of take twice as much farm (or more) as Huskar before they can actually do enough damage to kill him. [editline]19th June 2013[/editline]
blademail is the ultimate counter to huskar because it deals pure damage
It does, I thought it was magical?
Yeah at the moment Huskar is nigh-unkillable by more than half the heroes in the game early on which is bullshit imo. Only Timbersaw, Axe, OD, Drow, Bristleback, Tusk, Slardar and maybe Ursa/Troll can actually properly kill him earlygame (without chainstunning I mean) I think.

Tusk isn't nearly tanky enough to take him on and, assuming both Drow and Huskar have their ults, Huskar will just jump on her and eat her alive.

Tusk has massive physical burst damage in the form of his ult. Again doable, but far from safe. Basically Huskar currently forces you to get a lot of burst physical/pure damage or to just give up right away as you won't be able to stop him without it or a TON of hardstuns.
i imagine wr should do a good job. i haven't run into any huskars yet but i've pretty much only been tmm'ing since the new patch.

You're not supposed to ult him right away, it should be the killing blow to finish him off.
Tuskar lacks the damage to even get there though, he'll be long dead before he even gets near a 'finishing blow'.
If Huskar gets the jump on Drow, she's dead regardless of anything. And Tuskar's ultimate is far from able to get near killing Huskar.
Well yeah but that goes for anybody against Drow. :v: Tusk's ult is used as a finisher. Huskar typically won't attack you without being damaged already anyway, so hitting it for the x4 damage shouldn't be an issue and even at just lvl 6 that means roughly 350-400 physical damage with a disable - which lets you get another hit in before he starts attacking you again. Either way this discussion kinda highlights the problem with Huskar: you only get 1 shot at killing him because there's no way you're gonna beat him on rightclicks alone and the people who do deal enough physical damage early on tend to die when he slamdunks them.
Tuskar lacks the damage to even get there though, he'll be long dead before he even gets near a 'finishing blow'.
Well then don't be a dipshit and don't 1v1 him.
Well yeah but that goes for anybody against Drow. :v:
Except that 90% of heroes don't have an instant 'jump on your face' button.
Tuskar lacks the damage to even get there though, he'll be long dead before he even gets near a 'finishing blow'.
Well it depends on if Tusk has items or not.
Well then don't be a dipshit and don't 1v1 him.
You know a hero is overpowered when it takes an entire team to kill him with equal farm so early in the game. [editline]19th June 2013[/editline]
Well it depends on if Tusk has items or not.
True, but a Huskar with equal farm will wreck him. Huskar scales better anyway, he's more of a carry than Tuskar is.
True, but a Huskar with equal farm will wreck him. Huskar scales better anyway, he's more of a carry than Tuskar is.
Different roles. Huskar is a tank/carry, Tusk is there to deal a MASSIVE bitchslap for his team to follow up on. [editline]19th June 2013[/editline]
Except that 90% of heroes don't have an instant 'jump on your face' button.
Doesn't change the fact Drow dies to almost anything that gets in her face.

I was so confused by her being on the 'kill Huskar' list :v:
Drow does have a silence though and if she is smart (A smart Drow? Hah!) she could just silence Huskar before he can either use heal or his ultimate on Drow. Most ranged carries won't walk into melee range while Drow keep slowing (and potentially kiting) them just to disable the ult, because that would be giving her free shots. Huskar shits over most Drows because when he ults her, she is dead. 40% of her current health gone, her ult is gone, and she is stuck struttin in mud with a Huskar next to her. But if he can't ult, then its another story. Drow deals so high physical damage that Huskar's only hope of survival is dealing more damage in order to outlifesteal her, and hoping that she won't crit with Crystalys/Daedalus.

As I said she's got the physical damage output to do it. Problem is, if she fails to deal enough damage before he slamdunks her she's dead. :v:

Took me so many games to get over 50% winratio, I feel average now. Whee!
Thinking about trying out Mirana. Skill build is W Q Q E Q R Q? (Level 3 E may be picked up if I'm having trouble in lane / thinking I might get ganked)
http://dotabuff.com/heroes/mirana/skills All the top builds have getting E at level 1 or 2.
I guess that makes sense. Depends on what lane I'm in, and if I'm mid how fast I get my bottle.
It might be just because I am a massive pussy but I always grab escapes at level 1.
as Mirana, I always get arrow at level 1 for first blood.
Ha ha
To be fair: the problem usually isn't killing him. It's killing him and surviving Tombstone. :v:
