There needs to be a limit on Agh's upgrades, though. I kind of like that there isn't an upgrade for everyone because it's boring if seven of the ten people in a match are building the exact same item.
[editline]25th June 2013[/editline]
By limit I mean make them situational, not must-have improvements.
There's a problem with it though. As for 4200g you get just weak stats (Ultimate orb <2100g> and 200hp/150mana <i.e. pointbooster, 1200g> = 3300g) AND the actual upgrade, which basically has to be worth the : item slot + 900g just for the Agha's price + excuse for not going for different item.
We all seen that support who went for his Agha and we are sitting there, wishing it was Sheepstick, Eul, hell, sometimes Mek! So it has to be an upgrade, but it should be upgrade that enhances/alters the way hero is played to some degree. Like I've said with Invoker, via Aghanims he goes into Arsenal Mage mode (I know it's his alternative name), letting it all out in less than 20 seconds, possibly validating a purchse of Refresher Orb, having more issues with BKBed targets ,etc. Viper gets general upgrade, but because of how significant it is, you go for Aghanim early on to abuse it and instead of ending game by carrying, you end the game by ganking/harassing.
There would be little wrong with a game where there are 10 Aghanim Scepters, if every pickup was noticeable and game had visible trasition in the way it was played between each hero picking up their Aghanim.
And then there are Aghanims which "sort of" do that kind of stuff, like Tiny's aghanim allowing him to actually carry beside his Ultimate's bonus damage. But it also increases nuke's damage, it gives him strong sieging power, not to mention that cleave is mighty by itself.
Tiny without Aghanim --TRANSITION--> Tiny with Aghanim
It's visible, it changes a lot, hero goes from role to role based on pickup, corret ? Correct.
However, the sheer power of that pickup is justifiable at any point. Even if Tiny started out as a support, if game lasts a while, he can get Agha on top of stuff like Sheepstick or Shiva and it will still be extremely powerful.
Blink Dagger has been known to be signature of "nuking tinys" that choose combo over carrying, but now it's almost universally a straightforward path, Nuking tiny -> Agha Tiny. So with a good intent and approach we end up in the same bin as any other "must get" Aghanim Scepter upgrade.
Tricky thing to do, next hardest thing to balancing out the game in general I believe.

2.5 seconds of 0ms waiting to be aoe'd = 1600g

Tiny with Agh's is one of the hardest carries in the entire game too, so a transition of having an amazing early/mid to having an amazing late is quite profound. There's no other hero that transcends roles like Tiny does - at least, not so jarringly.
I would honestly call him OP if his passive stunned people through BKB.

To be fair, that build wouldn't be too out of place on Broodmother.
I wanna try Timbersaw sometime soon, and build Bloodstone as the Big Red Panic button when overwhelmed by enemy.
No but in all seriousness the Bloodstone use sounds so good on Timbersaw, it makes me impressed I haven't even seen much use of the Bloodstone's suicide, not on any Hero really.

Agh's Tiny with a Daedalus scares the living daylights out of me. 1 crit and the fight ends there and then.
Just lost a 90 minute game because of a leaver.
We were so close, had their ancient at 29 HP!!!!!
AND WE LOST!Everything hurts.
If it was that close, you should have microed him. Might have made it.
If it was that close, you should have microed him. Might have made it.
We tried.
All died when it was at 29 hp,by the time we got back it was at like 1/3 of its health, and we died again.
It was basically us pushing their ancient and dying, until the end in which they pushed and won.
That pushing shit lasted 30 minutes,it drove us all mad.
oh,also they guy pretty much left after the ancient was alive with 29 hp,so the 30 mins was 4 v 5.
Apparently I decided to skip a game with a friend yesterday and he went against a SK, Io, Ursa combo who tried to do Roshan at level 1 and failed 3 times being killed by it then getting ganked. Wish I saw it.
Also someone was split-shot farming the Radiant ancients at Level 2 Medusa, I didn't know it was even viable that early but he kept on level with the team until we started team fighting.

Because you think I sold items on my Jakiro game to buy all boots at the end ?
I started with Tranquils because I got harassed, then I got a mana booster to do the disassemble trick, but then I lacked movespeed so I just decided to go Phase, finish the Arcanes, and go for the rest.
Legit.
OH wow. My account got flagged as "disruptive" when the most meanest thing i ever said to a player/team was "Uhm, this kind of sucks team" when I was running around a tower for 1 minute from 3 enemy heroes and now i cant fucking communicate with my team.
And for the love of god the teammates i got had no skill-priority on them. Omniknight would heal me instead of using his magic immune spell so I could avoid the stuns, the heal sure proved useful for 1 second but then i got perma stunned and died... I had Doom on cooldown, and i was saying get back while everyone was screaming WHY WHY and i could do is ping myself, they went in, all died because I couldnt stop warlock from ulting and OFC i was blamed for it.
Things like that just kept happening and we lost the game. Communication is so important in this game and I always utilized it properly but now im a "disruptive" player :(
Maybe it was because I ping too much sometimes(Not like a psycho)? or because I drew a house on the map the other day when we won? What exactly can get your communication banned in Dota 2? :/

It's so hard to tell if someone actually deserves a communication ban. They always plead not guilty, if they were or not, or they thought they were or not.
Therefore, if you were actually disruptive and you know it, try to fix it next time. If you weren't, you got unlucky. Either way, it's best to take it like a man because no one will take you seriously.
my 2c
made a guide a few days ago, worked fine up until now. currently half the guides item progression fails to show up. looks fine in editor, however. why :(

sometimes says "Unable to load Hero Build file"
Guys, does anyone know wether Valve realeases some technical info if asked about it ?
I wonder what are current average waiting-times based on Mode/Region/Language. Like an Excell list for all possible variables.
I don't like the fact everybody wants the Techies cunts while Arc Warden and Winter Wyvern seems x100 more fun to play.
True; Arc Warden has a slowing DoT that works as a ganking implement (in that it's muted if the target has friends nearby), he has a localized AoE that renders allies and buildings invulnerable whilst boosting their attack, he can make what are essentially electric Spider Mines, and his Ult makes a temporary duplicate, which is pretty awesome.
Plus he's a gnoll in WC3, so I assume he'll still be doggish in Dota 2; I hope they do him after Legion and Abaddon.
However his AGI seems pretty weak, so I assume he's meant to be more of an INT-styled hero who relies on his abilities. Anyone know what his official roles are?
Anyone know what his official roles are?
he is half-meepo and half-tinker and guess what meepo and tinker are both semicarries/pushers
he is half-meepo and half-tinker and guess what meepo and tinker are both semicarries/pushers
So he's at least a semi-carry then. I thought he'd technically be support, what with all those fancy powers of his.

well people do build utility/support-ish items on tinker and meepo, but because it contributes to their ability to carry on a whole (tinker's amassment of active items, mana regen and survivability, and meepo's need for auras and such due to how clones work)
The whole "fuck plague wards" thing is obnoxious as hell in Venomancer builds. I mean, getting all points into Stats before putting them into Plague Wards?
WARDS ARE IMPORTANT; they can provide extra DoT in an area, brief scouting, potential use for blocking by popping one in the path of a fleeing/oncoming enemy, and the list goes ever on and on. It's like when Snipers say "fuck Shrapnel" or Alchemist says "fuck Acid" or when Gyro says "Flak Cannon? Who the hell needs that?"; scrapping one of the more important skills for THAT long is just disgusting.
