He was an engineer, not a pilot.

he was probably a hard hero to design because honestly he's way out of the style of everything else in the game.
Tinker is kind of the same, although I think his Dota 2 appearance still doesn't quite match the style that well.

Glad I'm not the only one who feels that way about tinker. I love his face and voice but his model feels like it was ripped from quantum conundrum. He's also a bit garish with his big yellow mech pack.

You've essentially agreed to 4v5 in exchange for winning the laning phase. Living Armor is ridiculously powerful but scales badly. Leech Seed and Guise are both awful abilities. The only consistently good ability he has is Overgrowth.
