Max Devour first. Get a had of midas before the 6 min mark. Then use it to quickly farm a radiance and then get AC and heart (order depends on your enemies, more right clickers? AC, more magic damage or mixed? Heart).

Start with a ring of protection, stout shield an tangos/salve, make a basilus asap with a sobi mask from the sideshop
If you are good on last hits and can get a midas by min 8 do it. Then get phase boots
After that you could get a radiance for even more farming potential/pushing, but if your team needs you, get an Assault cuirass
After that pick whataever you want
Basher>abyssal, heart of tarrasque, halberd.
Once laning phase is over eat a wildkin or red satyr for the armor/regen aura
Max devour first, take some levels on scorched earth, regen is great during laning, once you hit level 6 tell your lane partner you want to go for a kill and stun/nuke the guy, then doom, but be careful, someone might deny doomed enemies or they might survive the DOT, so if you can, chase them with scorched earth, hit a few times and cast lvl ? death on them

and please don't jungle with doom. Just because you can doesn't mean you have to. His jungle is extremely random depending on what he gets. He can get so much more farm in lane. Also, doom can't really gank effectively early game.

No offense, but i think jungle doom is awful, everytime I see a doom going jungle they are running with low HP, really dangerous if the sidelanesor mid decide to step in the jungle
I've seen a lot of games with people going Carry Tree. It's a spooky thing if done properly since he hits things really hard and fast.

Also, some neutral creeps you might want to devour
Laning phase:
Troll priest, the mana aura is great, you could also spam the heal
Centaur: Small attack speed boost, and a stun that can come handy
After laning phase is over:
Wildwing: Armor aura
Red satyr: Regen aura
Troll: if you want a dissable (net) and some pushing power (skeletons)
The smaller satyrs can come handy if you want a purge or mana burn
And when you feel ready to fight get an alpha wolf, it gives you a 30% damage and crits

This is the most fun thing to do as Tree.
One time on Dire as Tree we were losing badly so it was up to me to carry. We still lost but I found a Kunkka on like 100 hp left while I was stalking around.
Leeched him from out of nowhere and went on my way.
Did I mention I was the only one with more then 30 wins on my team, and 3 of my teammates had less then 5?
Everyone on Radiant had more then 30.

fuck valves servers or fuck my internet, kept lagging to the point i couldnt move at all in the middle of team fights and only teamfights.
eventually lich lost connection, dire were assholes and decided to push because "he's dead", i was the only one left but couldn't do shit as our raxes fell because it would be 1v5 as morph and i couldnt move.
I think it's safe to say we're not getting a patch tonight.

It's 8pm already. They're not gonna release an update at 8 o'clock and stay there for one or two more hours just in case everything blew up and they needed to fix shit.
Usually they'll say if an update is delayed. Strange that we haven't seen anything yet.
They did just update the Test item schema, so there's at least somebody still at Valve.
To people wondering what the item schema update did, the to-be-released El Gato courier now has a views counter.
