MoM is literally one of the worst items you can purchase. It's still iffy on Void and SB.
MoM is a very cost effective and useful item if you can keep yourself from being attacked. You pay 1000 gold for a big boost in movespeed and +100 attack speed: Brown boots + Hyperstone would cost 2550 gold and they give roughly same movespeed but less attack speed. Sven/Void/Spirit Breaker/Any hero who is supported by AoE disablers can make great use of it. Sven is especially great because he has an AoE stun, cleave and a massive damageboosting spell, Void has a great AoE disable, Spirit Breaker often ganks a single hero and he keeps stunlocking them so they can't retaliate. Sniper has such a high range that in a fight he may not be spotted by his enemies. Slark can attack through stealth (which also regens his health) which means he can make good use of it too. Riki can use smoke to prevent counterattacks and abuse his backstab with the attack speed. Plenty of heroes you can make MoM work on. Not saying that it is a fantastic item in every game, but definitely a valid pick in most of them. If you're playing Riki or Antimage and you go for another orb-effect (diffusal), it can still be considered an alternate, un-upgradeable version of Hyperstone. More movespeed and attack speed at the cost of making you more vulnerable.
ho shit alchemist is insanely fun what do I buy after I get maelstrom and skullbasher
bkb is pretty much a must, alch is really prone to CC due to being completely melee
I played Treant for the first time after all the buffs and I actually found him really fun Am I a bad person
Yes.
mom is nice depending on the enemy team comp
to be honest MoM or not, if someone gets to you as Sniper you are dead anyways.
Hell, it actually makes you more survivable in close-range encounters becase lol 40% ministun
What void set are you guys talking about going immortal, the Acolyte of Clasz set? What's wrong with it?
Diaper Void.
I don't see why it would go immortal Timebreaker model was stolen from another game, Alpine Ursa set looked really fucking ridiculous Acolyte Void doesn't look good but it isn't unfitting enough to be removed
Dendrochron should be immortal
I don't see why it would go immortal Timebreaker model was stolen from another game, Alpine Ursa set looked really fucking ridiculous Acolyte Void doesn't look good but it isn't unfitting enough to be removed
Also the void set was highly rated on the workshop, even higher than that centaur set they added last week

Remove it and wait for the community to calm down and then sneak it back into the game.

The peices of the set we saw early on are actually much darker with their masks and on top of that their is a small cape section on the girdle that is often missed. It may not be the greatest set every made but the tremendous amount of QQ and LMAO BUY IT B4 IMMORTTALL!!! is really annoying and makes me fear the community feels they have too much control on what valve considers good.
I just can't believe Diaper Void got in over this set I would buy it in a heartbeat. http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=111293645
I like both personally, the "diaper set" really isn't bad IMHO, it's just been hyped up as being "the next alpine ursa". Also would've liked to see the Egyptian void set get in. Btw on void is it better to get bf or maelstrom as far as farming items go? And MoM is by no means a bad item, it's just not something you grab on every hero every game.
I just won an Enigma game without using a single Blackhole Some people...are not very good at Dota

[editline]2nd July 2013[/editline] And it never will go immortal, even if it does get removed (which I highly doubt it will). Probably will end up like the QoP set.

That is why the set got very high marks, if you wanted it to not get in game take it on yourself to down vote it in the workshop but when it gets in game, its surprisingly not up to the workshop any more! After TF2 I don't exactly trust Valve enough to let them decide on what's good and what isn't.
STS alerts for: - Dota 2 - 210 new strings - 7/2/13 7:32 PM CDT - http://steamcommunity.com/groups/STSLounge/announcements/detail/1821987320452570765 [editline]2nd July 2013[/editline] Almost certainly the new training scenarios.
After TF2 I don't exactly trust Valve and most of the community enough to let them decide on what's good and what isn't.
Fixed.
MoM is literally one of the worst items you can purchase. It's still iffy on Void and SB.
Void maybe, but on SB, I like it. He does more damage the faster he is. MoM maxes it out.
Who would have thought people who aren't actual designers have shit taste? Seriously, it's like having some random dude off the street design your living room for you. 'I really think this lamp would go well over here.' This is just a consequence that comes with community-based programs. There's lots of good shit, but by the same token, there will always lots of bad stuff.
Void maybe, but on SB, I like it. He does more damage the faster he is. MoM maxes it out.
I was talkin bout MoM on Alch. Shoulda quoted the post I'd pick it up on Void, maybe, seeing how he has a guaranteed disable to offset the 30% bonus damage. Armlet is better, imo, for SB. In low skill games MoM SB is amazing but in other cases, not so much. If there's an SB on the map people aren't going to go out solo. Even if you find a solo target, you put everything into RNG getting you kills, whilst having subpar damage between bashes. Ontop of relying on RNG for all your damage, you're now taking 30% bonus damage from everything. You can easily turn and blow a SB up with that debuff
MoM is literally one of the worst items you can purchase. It's still iffy on Void and SB.
MoM is like Vlads, good item, rarely built correctly And Void MoM is a whole new argument but whats wrong with MoM Spirit Breaker? Spirit Breaker is literally the one hero I can say should definitely have MoM in their build
yes but valve has final say in whether it actually goes into the game, so you'd think they would demonstrate some better taste than the average "VALV ADD PLIS" workshop frequenters
I don't think they have an art team dedicated to scavenging through the Workshop, it's probably just a small group of guys who work on other parts of the game as well.
I don't think they have an art team dedicated to scavenging through the Workshop, it's probably just a small group of guys who work on other parts of the game as well.
I think this could be solved if the worshop gets a moderation system to avoid the VOLVO ADD LIKE b X100. All that annoying shitpost should be remove and instead the worshop should be used for critics, suggestions and questions.

All that annoying shitpost should be remove and instead the worshop should be used for critics, suggestions and questions.
I would love to see a dedicated and experienced art team prowling the Workshop for new stuff, as well as a moderation team, but the simple fact remains that Valve doesn't have that many employees at all and there simply isn't enough people that work there that they can be doing stuff like that.
To be honest, vlads is a lot better than MoM You usually see mom on void or spirit breaker, but the second someone else gets close and stuns you, you are on a dangerous situation with the damage taken debuff Vlads is more than just lifesteal, mana regen regen, decent armor aura for its price and damage
MoM isn't just Lifesteal It grants fucking +100 attack speed and +30% movement speed, both of which synergize fantastically on SB. It is much better choice for him than Vlads would be.

While I agree, Vlad's is just outright fucking retarded on him, I really have to say that Armlet is the best option on him. This isn't to say that MoM is bad, I just think the much safer option is an Armlet. Plus, Armlet can actually let you dive towers to kill people, while doing so with a MoM can really turn around and bite you in the ass. [editline]2nd July 2013[/editline] Although the only true Scrub Breaker build is Shadow Blade > Armlet > Agh's
