Yeah Meepo's really quite easy to play at a certain level; he's my second most played and about half of the time I end up steamrolling hard. The rest of the time I'm just completely shut down with next to nothing to do to stop it. It's funny, half of the time I get praised for my meepo play, and the other half, I'm flamed for feeding. Very rarely anything in between.
I don't pick him very much these days at all, unless I happen to be picking last in a random draft and there's no scary disables/stuns.
That's because that's how Meepo works. If they can burst you down, you'll do very little except feeding. If they lack the burst/crowd control to knock one of your Meepos over, you steamroll them.
Just played a AP game
Never again
All pick is the best pick.
No
Random Draft is best
Pretty much every set added this update looks so bad. Especially Sand King's set, good christ that looks disgusting. It turns him into Hand king, he's got fingers now.
Scorpions with fingers.
technically he's a crafted creature out of sand by magic n stuff, so he can look like whatever

I think this one is nice

+ its made by a facepunch guy
oh and this one looks good

And the Mirana set looks amazing. Also the Lina set shouldnt be overlooked, looks great ingame. PA one is well made but I sort of dislike the hood(personal preference!).
So yeah I have no idea what youre talking about, the sets are nice, only the SK is sort of overdoing the "Nasty/Scary looking bug" idea.

In my opinion the PA set is one of the best of this update while the hair in that Mirana set is just aaawwful. I am so glad Jals Alch set got in, he deserves it.

Now that I look at it(Mirana Hair), I've got to say that you do have a point.
The Mirana set looks fucking amazing except the hair, I would actually sell my left nut for that lion but thankfully I could probably just trade a few things for it.

That's kinda the point I was making! Overall he's just very easy to counterpick and to shut down as long as you care to place offensive wards everywhere.
If my carry builds an aghs and is not tiny I lose all will to live.
scepter jugg is pretty damn bullshit

if you get the set i'll trade something for the hairpece
The helmet on the Alchemist set looks retarded.
Okay, so I tried warding enemy spawn as Furion and sniping the courier when it flew/ran somewhere, I bought the first set of wards very early (about 1-2 min after creeps spawned) and warded the spawn as soon as I got my TP. What I noticed while doing this:
- Slower start than usual, since I spend 60 seconds at the spawn waiting for TP cooldown
- Also slower midas than usual (~10 min, I died once while sniping the courier so that affected my time)
- Risky, but benefits your entire team so even if you die, as long as you kill the courier it is worth it (175 gold x 5 as opposed to losing 240-350 gold)
- Enemies can't rely on courier if you successfully keep killing it, they get paranoid of sending it away (countered if they ward their spawn with observers, but this costs them gold)
- My eyes hurt really bad, I literally spent over half of the game looking at the bottom left corner, looking if the courier would move
Meepo isn't actually that hard to play, you just need fast fingers. Chen's micro is much harder in my honest opinion.
Completely dominate early - mid game, their carries got fucked over.
Tell our onliest hard carry to farm.
Game lasted 56 minutes, he has 77 LH's.
High bracket my ass.
god damn mirana is such an underrated carry
Who's mirana?
god damn mirana is such an underrated carry
she's got awful damage and a poor agility gain
she's a good hero, not the best carry

I really don't like the colours in the PA set, they're far too bright for her usual scheme. The Lina set's really chunky (a friend commented it makes her look like she's had 20 kids) and quite unappealing texture-wise, and the helmet for Alchemist's ogre is pretty ridiculous. Jal did deserve an item ingame though, and a full set's a good start to that.
The KotL set is actually very well made and is definitely the best of this update by a long shot, but it's just too brown for his colour scheme.

Mirana's mount looks awesome imo

Well, except Dota 2 Lion, all lions look awesome, especially white ones, so no punches on that one.
Sniper's a massive faggot.
Sniper's a massive faggot.
So easy to shut down and keep him useless during all stages of the game. Unlike (pre-nerf?) Drow, he doesn't have any damage without items. All he can hope to do when he's not doing well is to pick up some kills with his ult.

you know, you're meant to buy a TP scroll when you ward their fountain...
you know, you're meant to buy a TP scroll when you ward their fountain...
I don't want to resort to cliff jungling, so I start with basilius+treants, farm for wards and level 2 and then go ward the spawn.
TP'ing at level 1 before the creeps even spawn seems like awaste to me, the courier won't be used before the 1-2 min mark.
Also I just saw your avatar be Sniper for a moment, then it changed back to WR. Whats up with that?
you don't need to buy a TP from the start, it's 135g and you can even buy it from the enemy shop.
i was testing a gif resizing site, the colour quality was really bad.

The PA set is really not a huge change in color scheme, what it does is it swaps her trim color for her base color and her base color for her trim.

The Lina set is not very chunky, I don't see where you get that at all but it is suppose to make her look more armored which it does. The alchemist set gets a lot of questions but I don't get it, its just a blinders helmet, not that ridiculous.
So when you are silencer, do your passive abilities still work?
