Does anyone miss being new to this game? I remember when I first played and everything felt so alien and every single game was fun regardless of the outcome.
I have never really felt this for dota 2, since I came from League of legends. I remember cast animations and turn rates being really annoying at the beginning.
Outworld's lore is pretty cool A fucking flying centaur made of obsidian coming down from the outer universe to warn people about... himself. obception
He makes Galactus look like a bitch [editline]25th April 2013[/editline] Also question...any tips on Shadow Demon? He looks interesting but I'm not sure exactly what role he fits or how to play him correctly

then why do people go mid as him?
also make sure to not fuck up your own team with disruption
If he's a support I mean
he can work on mid if nobody else on the team needs the levels/ganking, but i just think hes a better support

Catcher and poison will still land on disrupted heroes. Learn to cast catcher "on the rim" of the aoe so that you're guaranteed to land it on a hero and nothing else. Disruption is great for initiating and it's also great at stopping a hero from fleeing, ie Windrunner, Dark seer etc. He's pretty easy and kinda fun once you get a hang of him but be prepared to be a wardbitch.
then why do people go mid as him?
He's a really good mid hero due to shadow poison (kicking people out of lane with it unless they want to get 4 stacks on them, also using its vision to spot runes), a really good ganker (distruption, soul catcher and demonic purge can land kills on both lane partners), and is utmost effective when he has a level advantage compared to other heroes
Saddest lore of 2013 goes to Dirge, for his astounding performance in going entirely insane, killing his friends and never dying despite his endless hatred of his life. The argument against putting SD mid is that he doesn't really use/need the farm as much as other heros but I still think you can build him as a respectable anti-carry/ganker
Cool thing about the Valve's take on lores, is that I do believe they hint the general gameplay of each hero within it, at least slightly. Sure there are guys like Enigma, whose lore is minimal, or Io, Jakiro's lore is a bit meh, but generally design and lore fit very much the gameplay. I know Valve is doing the hero remakes constantly, like VS, promised Venomancer, etc, but maybe they'll change some lores around to make them up to the standart of those of Axe's, Invoker's, etc [editline]25th April 2013[/editline] And on SD, he wrecks against an offlaner. If you send 2 guys against enemy's solo offlane, SD makes it hell. Disruption can allow for followups, and if there are none, those 2 illusions force you to run away or you'll be right-clicked by them AND SD. A level later, Soul Catcher makes it even worse. How's that clarity/salve ? Shadow Poison. Oh, look, I got mana boots, enjoy shadow poison spam. He is vulnerable to ganks though, as all he can do is Disrupt, but that can backfire.

You can basically 1v1 anyone no matter what early on.
then why do people go mid as him?
That's just your bracket, I never saw a mid Shadow Demon in my life.
All this SD talk that isn't specializing on his disruption and soul catcher combo..
All this SD talk that isn't specializing on his disruption and soul catcher combo..
do you really need to comment on the most obvious shit since ursa's primary tactic consisting of "click on people"
Shadow Demon with level advantage is incredibly scary. You can basically 1v1 anyone no matter what early on.
Yeah, SD is my favorite hero because of that He may be played as a hard support in pro games, but he has a very versatile skillset and can fill in a number of different roles SD with a full necrobook and some survivabilty stuff is very, very scary
All this SD talk that isn't specializing on his disruption and soul catcher combo..
I thought we were discussing the max poison + stats skip everything else strategy????
All this SD talk that isn't specializing on his disruption and soul catcher combo..
Just realized how good he is to track down tree blinking anti mages. I should try out SD mid sometime
Maxing poison is only good as a build if you are going solo mid SD. As a lane support he works a lot better with maxed Soul Catcher. I like to also max Disruption but that is personal preference.
Is there a full list of things that Doom blocks/doesn't block somewhere?
http://www.playdota.com/forums/showthread.php?t=796666
That's just your bracket, I never saw a mid Shadow Demon in my life.
i'd be amazed if his bracket even has shadow demon players
Does anyone miss being new to this game? I remember when I first played and everything felt so alien and every single game was fun regardless of the outcome.
Certainly don't miss not being able to play a few complex heroes
I can only find a list based off of Dota 1 Doom but from what I've read the spell is the exact same in Dota 2
Doom does NOT stop Void's backtrack too.
All this SD talk that isn't specializing on his disruption and soul catcher combo..
because mid demon with maxed poison wrecks Disruption and soul catcher is more for a dual lane
do you really need to comment on the most obvious shit since ursa's primary tactic consisting of "click on people"
So I been playing Ursa wrong all this time?
Does anyone miss being new to this game? I remember when I first played and everything felt so alien and every single game was fun regardless of the outcome.
not at all I was fucking trash and didn't feel like I made a positive impact in my first 50 or so games
So I been playing Ursa wrong all this time?
the only other parts of ursa tactics is to wildly mash the buttons for overpower, enrage, and earthshock
Actually I do miss 1 thing about being new. Being able to play Bloodseeker/Huskar and those other subpar-but-fun-as-hell heroes. If I ever see one of those in my bracket, they get stomped. :(

How cruel do you guys think it is to just create a new account and bring doom upon new gamers just for fun?
