Radiance on sand king is really useful, kill creep waves nearly instantly when you pop sandstorm.
Been winning a few games just because I could completely shut down pushes as sand king.

I'd rather use the 5k gold for blink and veil
Randomed Sand king yesterday.
We had eartshaker, a good lycan, KOTL and something else(dunno anymore).
We won, their team had idiot PL who didnt build heart..
Can't get the stats as I am on school.
It feels good to be the one who decided if a teamfight works.
Scepter+Veil = Don't you dear to start a teamfight, my ult and veil will wreck u.
Even more fun when at the end of the match you and Eartshaker can blink into the fountain and kill all the team in the fountain.

I don't buy only boots and save for radiance, I usually get it with all my excess gold after I'm geared.
Anyone else having an issue where the audio randomly goes to shit in games and it just sounds like a stuttery buzzy screeching sound? It's driving me nuts.

But you only need 2 hits on 2 creeps + a burrowstrike just to shut down any creep wave.
Why would you get a 5k gold item for that? Caustic finale makes Sandy a great pusher later on. As soon as you slam everyone's asses on a teamfight leave your team pushing and go to another lane and just do the combo above. The cooldown will be over between waves and the mana requirement will be almust null

I'm not sure if radiance is affected by veil but, you do around 125 damage a second with just sandstorm and radiance.

he has caustic for a reason lol

And you get almost the same by just your normal habilities without wasting 5000 gold
Does Siege units get damaged by Radiance? They get affected by Caustic Finale
Nah, caustic + burrowstrike is just way more effective, and the right way to do it
Sand King is one of the best (anti-)pushers in the game, Caustic Finale clears creepwaves almost instantly. Getting a Radiance on him is a waste of gold. Get Blink + Veil for that gold.

This. Broodmothers and Nature Prophets just cry with your passive. No need of wasting that many gold

what the fuck kind of god tier farming are you doing when you can buy radiance with "excess gold"

For the impatient, it's this match.
Everyone happens to Laguna Blade a creep from time to time.
Good habit is to love the "STOP' command, default bind to "S" key. Most of spells have some animation before they happen (few exceptions, like Echo Slam or Dopplewalk I believe) and if you realise you are casting thing on a wrong target, quick "S" - recast allows you to correct mistake without wasting anything but parts of seconds / seconds at worst.
actually, dopplewalk has a REALLY short animation. its pretty useful to pay attention for it if you dont want to waste your spels
actually, dopplewalk has a REALLY short animation. its pretty useful to pay attention for it if you dont want to waste your spels
usually the blatant giveaway is the sudden transition to walking in a straight line
usually the blatant giveaway is the sudden transition to walking in a straight line
not really, most PL's ive seen micro the dopplewalk illusion so it walks in a different direction than the actual one.
[editline]26th April 2013[/editline]
its pretty easy to tell dopplewalk if the PL is dumb, not so if he knows what hes doing.

How does the animation look ? Dopplewalk makes you instantly invisibile and places illusion, where's room for animation, or even purpose if ability is supposed to confuse people without giving you away.

A brilliant fakeout is to send a bunch of illusions into a lane and when an enemy shows up manually move one of them in a straight line. Watch them pop dust thinking you're actually there instead of them knowing it's just a bunch of illusions.

pl moves his arms really quickly before going invis

That or while lasthitting and spotting ganking incoming via ward or so, dopplewalk, order quick attack, draw it back, order real PL to go way far from the danger zone and "play" the illusion. It's a bit hard to do early game, simply because if you don't go for last hits at all, you are acting weird, and if you do, illusion deals a quarter of your damage, so at ~60 its 15 damage.
Oh wait, so the IT3 is going to be during the summer?

yes. august 11
yes. august 11
meanwhile everybody competes to be ~threadmaster~ 3 MONTHS early.
pl moves his arms really quickly before going invis
I watched replay at 0.25 speed for both running and standing cast.
At worst illusion did some turning in place while searching for direction, but no animation to speak of.
Getting first blood as CM is fun. Insta-bought my boots.
Oh my god, last 4 games in a row the enemy team has five manned mid and in this one there was Nyx, Pudge and Life stealer. The pudge was going off about how he was "pro" and he had bought as many expensive items as he could.

I don't get why people pick pudge when they want to be "pro" he is the single most played hero in the entire game right now.
Pudge is an amazingly fun hero and you can throw good hooks by accident and pretend it was pure skill really easily.
Therefore he is a pro hero and you should feel bad for not thinking so you heretic.
(Also the fact that he is incredibly hard to play effectively against good players, they will have wards and know where you are, they will dodge constantly, it's all down to mind games and seeing your opponent move before it happens, this makes bad players think "THIS MUST BE EASY I WANT TO BE PRO TOO!")
Pudge is Clockwerk but for pussies.
Pudge is Clockwerk but for pussies.
He is reverse clockwerk, and vice versa.
Except for Rot/Battery assault which are quite similar.
Pudge is easy to lane against, displaces you, rot ensure he stays on top of you, doesn't need items to roll hard due to Flesh Heap and Dismember helps in crucial disable.
Clockwerk displaces everything with Cage, Flare gives Clock farm/denying regen give some leeway during, laning battery assault to stay on top of you while ministunning, Hookshot is crucial mini-disable and Clockwerk self-positioning tool. Oh, and Clock loves items.
Pudge is Clockwerk but for pussies.
Wrong way around.
