nyx nyx nyx nyx
Tryhard means to try extremely hard to win a game and play for winning with no fun allowed.
Examples of tryhard;
PL + kotl, Nyx, Magnus and <fitting hero goes here> on same team.
So I'm a tryhard for playing one of my favourite and most fun heroes (Nyx)
Cool. Tryhard is a shitty dumbass term that has no real value nor meaning.

I would definitely call someone who instalocks Nyx every game for tryhard seeing as Nyx is the king of dickbaggery.
Also, if you read my post you'd realize I said things like "playing for wins, not for fun" "on the same team" and "trying extremely hard to win"

yeah no one understands what tryhard actually means
which is someone who does something considered overpowered because they know it's considered overpowered and think it will give them an easy win
i.e. picking magnus, darkseer, and enigma all on one team

Th magic damage amp is great for your ult, but it's something you get if youa re stomping or the game extended
Okay, we entered the RoshPit tournament, but after eliminating one team, we horribly got massacred by another team. But the draft we made was just, horrible. I got killed 4 times as solo Dark Seer, we had a mid Jakiro, and a trilane of alchemist, sb, and kotl.
So.
How do i exactly draft? What should i get for my team? How much carries would be enough? In comp games, i usually see 2 carries and 3 utility heroes.

I dunno about you but to me winning is fun, why wouldn't I try to win?
It's like unless I'm picking meepo and stacking battlefuries I'm a tryhard, according to most people. It's fucking dumb.
EDIT: (this wasn't specifically a attack against your statement, I'm just pissed about being called a tryhard all the time for attempting to win instead of rolling around in the mud being retarded. Sorry.)
Yesterday I picked void last since I thought we needed a hard carry, ended up going to suicide lane with a silencer and got ganked several times, it was silly and I did horrible
At least the slark who asked to go safelane with his buttbuddy balled out of control, and what surprised me the most is how he was willing to take advice from the others. He was asking his friend about what to build, told him to get a basher, a few minutes later he asks me what item he should get next
also
you're playing the ultimate pubstar hero

More like trenchstar hero :v:
It sucks when your carry is a complete idiot/mediocre player since compared to other roles you can't do anything about it.
Going carry yourself only ruins you team composition and will most likely make you lose your early/mid game and picking a support to help the "can't farm can't fight" retarded carry means you might not really be that of an influence if he just get himself killed all the time until the late game where you'll be useless in term of burst damage.

There's a difference between playing a hero properly and trying to win... Or in tryhard vision you pick the hero that is most powerful, with 4 other team mates who pick heroes who are considered powerful, do lane combinations that are considered powerful, and do absolutely everything to win no matter what, completely ignoring the aspect of games that are supposed to be fun.

The absolute worst is when your team mates completely ruin your lane and do everything to not let you farm (You are a carry and they are support heroes) and then 15 minutes in you still have no items. You continue trying to farm and then your team mates pingspam on you over and over and over again, so you feel forced to do something, you enter a fight, promptly die because you weren't finished farming, then they keep spamming more pings again and again and again and again.
I've also made a habit of pingspamming along with them whenever they feel like pinging, which ruins my concentration even more but whatever it's not like they want me to win anyways.
Doing 1200 crits as lifestealer feels really good.
Went from me getting hexed after not being able to kill anyone late then to me twoshotting the enemy gyro and then killing everyone else.

Not sure if crits is the best item choice for lifestealer

When you're picking the most overpowered combos in the game to try and get easy wins in a non-tournament mode, that's tryharding. Believe it or not, people don't want to be up against PL KotL Magnus Nyx every single game.

If you're playing to win, then it's called playing dota. If you're playing, then getting pissed at your teammates for not warding, pissed at your teammates for not being good, expecting everyone to coordinate at once like one is playing in a tournament, etc. then it's tryharding. I'm not saying tryharding is a bad thing, but I don't do it.
Great, game crashes on loading screen and im forced to close it, now its saying im still in the game but i can't reconnect, oh great.
Not sure if crits is the best item choice for lifestealer
It is when you are maxed out, which applies to some - most carries.
It's not like I went it first.
I got it after abyssal, AC, Desolator, etc.
Not sure if crits is the best item choice for lifestealer
If both your damage and attack speed are high, and you need nothing else, why not? Sometimes you can get some hilarious lucksacking scenarios.
Almost beat a team with Luna and KotL PL with Wisp Riki SB, but kinda hard to push against that
and this is why I play all random

the only heroes I consider daedalus a reliable not-6th-slot item on are sven, shadow fiend, void, clinkz, and I guess weaver maybe?
[editline]11th May 2013[/editline]
sven is the only one I'd go for it immediately on mind you
but those five are heroes I can think of that'd benefit from daedalus at some point after their core and before all the other luxuries
[editline]11th May 2013[/editline]
well troll and drow too but they're crap heroes for crap players so

Stack them.
What about Kunkka?
oh yeah i forgot about kunkka
you'll generally need two daedaluses though so you can reliably get tidebringer crits
skywrath is sorta capable of supporting as long as his allies are remotely capable of killing something since he has a 40% slow at all levels and an obnoxiously long silence

How do you crit 1200 as Lifestealer?
I was a level 25 CK with satanic, reaver and armlet and I crit for around 1.2k..
did they ever nerf gyro?
he's damage is fucking ridiculous
did they ever nerf gyro?

A better question is:
Why does everyone max the E first with one level of Q and W and then get stats? It's such a terrible build.
