Is Skywrath a better support or solo mid? I still need to try him and play both roles equally.
I only start with Flak Ammo if I'm in solo lane, to be frank; being able to shoot a whole wave up is a somewhat decent farming tool. Still, if there's anything I max first it's usually Homing Missile; that stun can cause a fight to turn on a dime, and the craven get hurt the most.
did they ever nerf gyro?
he's damage is fucking ridiculous
no, because this isn't lol and we don't nerf heroes because they're popular in the metagame
no, because this isn't lol and we don't nerf heroes because they're popular in the metagame
rocket barrage should have a 10 second cd and so should flak cannon
it would be a really nice balance, nerf rocket barrage's insane early game while buffing flak cannon's
If you're not maxing Barrage first and not using its ridiculous early-game damage output, you're playing Gyro wrong.

OH please no.
It will be like laning against Axe, Silencer, KOTL and Kunkka at once.

up the mana cost to 75 or so on flak, maybe?
Flak cannon is already OP in my opinion due to the mass harass you get+last hit power+push power.
Flak cannon is already OP in my opinion due to the mass harass you get+last hit power+push power.
also the fact that it wrecks in teamfights
Tryhard means to try extremely hard to win a game and play for winning with no fun allowed.
Examples of tryhard;
PL + kotl, Nyx, Magnus and <fitting hero goes here> on same team.
So people who actually want to win games are tryhards? I guess you can call me a tryhard, because I like to win.
Though the heroes you mentioned are clearly overpowered at the moment, and that's not the players' fault; it's Icefrog's. I liked to play PL before he was buffed, but somehow I'm a tryhard now because Icefrog fucked him up.
[editline]11th May 2013[/editline]
And 'fun' is objective; look at China DOTA and US DOTA, the Chinese farm all game while we like those early ganks and teamfights.
Plenty people from over here call Chinese DOTA boring, but over there they think it's fun (I think it's fun to watch).

PL isn't OP, neither is Kotl or Magnus (But spike carapace is bullshit so fuck you nyx), but it's the act of instalocking 5 powerful heroes at the same time and basically trying to abuse their power for easy wins.

If they're not OP, then I don't see the problem, how can you abuse the power of balanced heroes? Are you just against certain strategies that you just don't know how to play against?
Too bad all of them are actually OP; although not gamebreakingly so like Lycan, they're still slightly too powerful.
I think one of the only heroes right now who needs a buff is Huskar, and only to make burning spears viable outside of an early game point for harass.
Maybe I don't use it correctly, but I just leave a point in it for orb harass then max out everything else and stats, it still seems weak as hell.
did they ever nerf gyro?

I love how he gets an extra 700 attack range and can attack in infinite amount of targets every twenty seconds, completely balanced.

Bloodseeker and Drow need complete reworks and Morphling needs a buff.
A better question is:
Why does everyone max the E first with one level of Q and W and then get stats? It's such a terrible build.
It's the "carry" build according to someone I know who does it.
no, because this isn't lol and we don't nerf heroes because they're popular in the metagame
Flak Cannon *does* need a nerf though. 1000 range and no miss chance along with a tiny cooldown without any damage reduction?
I love how he gets an extra 700 attack range and can attack in infinite amount of targets every twenty seconds, completely balanced.
Hell, Medusa only gets a 100 attack range boost with hers. And she has a limit on how many she can attack at once. With reduced damage.
Gyro's flak should only hit heroes and illusions.
or be nerfed to 600 range.
It's the "carry" build according to someone I know who does it.
I think it's more carrying if you murder everyone before they even realise they're actually playing Dota 2, and then use the cash money you get to buy loot.
Gyro's flak should only hit heroes and illusions.

1000 range is simply ridiculous. That's even longer than fucking sniper's range, who's main purpose is to be the longest range hero in the game. It makes it far too easy for gyro to snipe people running away since all he has to do is turn flak cannon on and shoot a creep.
the one level in flak cannon is already excellent for finishing off runners
loser trying to run away from your sheer excellence? turn on flak cannon and start hitting the nearest thing
laugh as they can't escape the 1000 range splashed attack
[editline]11th May 2013[/editline]
i mid as gyro and as a result my skillbuild involves missile first then max barrage and get flak at 4, then missile then flak
the one level of flak for free sn1pes and barrage maxed first because it deals retarded amounts of damage, then missile because the increased damage and stun helps me gank shit
flak is saved for later since the extra attacks will only matter when i have all my kill stuff items up

Chinese don't farm all game
they have super aggressive early lanes, unlike a lot of western games where a lot of the lanes are completely throw aways
then they wait for opportunities to do shit which is when they farm

I wouldn't argue with Kane about the Chinese playstyle, he watches them religiously
neither is Kotl or Magnus
In Magnus' case that would include:
Q - 300 damage LONG AS SHIT range AoE nuke with a low cd and 90 mana cost at max level;
W - a carry 50% damage and 50% cleave steroid that can be placed upon two heroes at once;
E - an escape mechanism which can also be used to initiate, does damage, can push people, i a slow, has a 1200 range and also costs an extremely low amount of mana.
R - A low CD, low mana cost, AoE, black hole ranged, disable that goes through BKB and groups people up together in a metagame where stacking AoE is done often.
Not to mention the fact that after you buy Arcane Boots you have NO mana usues what so ever thanks to his low mana costs. If you look at other STR initiators like Tide, Sand King or ES, they all have mana problems.
And Kotl is basically too good at everything for a support.
Sure, they arent OP.
They are broken, unbalanced and generally require around 3k networth to be of full use to their team.
Carried as Lion. Everyone got items but me.
Why do you hate me valve.

You're right, they have ultra-aggressive lanes and throw-away lanes don't exist in Chinese DOTA (for the most part); but, the reason they're so aggressive is because they're trying ultra-hard to secure that farm for their carries in those lanes, or stop the farm of the enemy's carries in the hard lane.
no, because this isn't lol and we don't nerf heroes because they're popular in the metagame
morphling?
morphling?
To be fair, he WAS really broken a long time ago, but Icefrog ultra-nerfed him.
[editline]11th May 2013[/editline]
He's still played a lot in China simply because their playstyle makes up for his shitty early/mid game, but he's useless in western DOTA.
Morphling just isn't very fun either in my opinion
I'm really frustrated. I'm on an 8 game losing streak and I'm getting matched with really, really terrible people. It's been like this since they added solo matchmaking I think. Just last game I saw the greediest player I've ever seen as Anti-Mage, who would blink in and try to kill anyone he saw on the map. Anyone at all. Despite having no items. And I laned with a Skeleton King who was a really good guy, but after dying he types "no res?????" I then check and see that he's at level 9 without skilling crits or his ult. I told him he had to get ult and he responded with "forgot xxxxxxxDDDDxD"
He was a nice guy, though. It's just pissing me off. People leave during really close games, too.

Now before you ask why the hell Kotl is on my lane... i asked my friend (He was kotl) the same question and he was like fuck it and we won our lane surprisingly fast

it totally makes sense
you need the mana to blink everywhere
