Fuck ungreateful stacks.
I was forced to play support byt a 4 man stack (I was Axe so doesn't hurt too much)I protect this shitty sniper (boots at the star, MoM rush) and we won our hard lane thanks to my deny and harrass.
Enemy full of invisible fucks so I keep nuying sentry wards the whole match. Worse part is this intapick drow keep talking shit about me when I fuckign save her life.
Solo queque why you don't work.
I started streaming today.
First time playing Storm in DOTA2, ever :v: Watch me! Sorry for the lack of music, something I shall fix; anyway, fun starts in the last 20 minutes or so, so you can skip to that. Spoilers!
Starts at about ~6 minutes. Could've gone better, but eh, Skywrath's a PITA.

Up for me.
Had a great time randoming with a friend in allpick tonight, though running solo Brood against Slardar/Lion was...tricky. But since I absolutely 100% forced them to remain in lane against me instead of helping the other lanes our PA and Gyro went big real fast.

I'll be watching while I do some coursework.
Always love watching FPers stream or cast.
Which reminds me. I may do more Pubcast videos if anyone remembers those.
I've been amateur casting things since I was like 5 pretending I was a sports commentator while my dad and uncle played Madden.
Not very good with it at Dota 2, though, so I'm trying to get better. All I can really do is play-by-play.
Guess I can't be the only one: Solo matchmaking doesn't work at all.
Is anyone having this problem?

Welcome to the high exp club
Now before you ask why the hell Kotl is on my lane... i asked my friend (He was kotl) the same question and he was like fuck it and we won our lane surprisingly fast
I want to see a game with 10 xp bonuses.

Same here. I'm still getting matched with 4 russian hooligans against a 5 man premade with dendi smurfing.
I tried solo matchmaking once and I got matched with the worst team I've ever had.
Never, ever, again.
PL isn't OP, neither is Kotl or Magnus (But spike carapace is bullshit so fuck you nyx), but it's the act of instalocking 5 powerful heroes at the same time and basically trying to abuse their power for easy wins.
PL honestly needs some kind of serious nerf. He's too good compared to other hardcarries. Mainly due to the fact that there is NO stopping him if he's at all competent. Anti-Mage, Void, ect, you keep ganking and they're useless. PL has two escape techniques (if you count confusing players as to which is real as an escape technique; compared to the one that pretty much every other hardcarry has), needs less items and levels, is highly capable of flash farming without having to build an expensive item first, and is generally more powerful in the early game. All of this, and he's just as if not more powerful than all the other hardcarries.
I have no issue with KotL besides the distance Illuminate travels. I feel like that's just downright excessive and makes it too easy for him to run you out of the lane. No other lane support has that much power.
Magnus is pretty fine in my opinion besides Empower and his ult. Empower needs a minor-moderate nerf whilst Reverse Polarity needs a moderate-major nerf, as it's almost uncounterable and undeniably better than almost every other teamfight ult.
I have a bit of issue with Nyx, but I actually (unlike most people) have problem with his Impale as opposed to Spiked Carapace. He's the king of ambushing and murdering single targets who stray alone, which I can respect, but then they throw in a great teamfight ability giving him power in that regard.
I think one of the only heroes right now who needs a buff is Huskar, and only to make burning spears viable outside of an early game point for harass.
Maybe I don't use it correctly, but I just leave a point in it for orb harass then max out everything else and stats, it still seems weak as hell.
I think Brood could use a bit of a buff due to just how incredibly easy it is to counter her.
I also think Medusa could use a bit of a buff-nerf, seeing as the benefit of her over other hardcarries doesn't rival how much harder it is to get her to her full potential.
PL is actually really fucking bad if you look at his professional win rate (without PL, get to that in a sec). He's quite pathetic if you weigh him against previous dominant carries.
The problem is KOTL+PL. KOTL antipushes too well which makes it impossible to beat PL, since you can't end the game.

KotL antipushes en-masse against units. Sure it hurts heroes too, but their pool usually allows for replenishment, unlike dead wave of creeps after full Illuminate.
Maybe heroes like Lesh, Clinkz and Ursa could be used to brute-force through towers without much of a need for creeps, just their relative proximity for backdoor protection disable.
The problem with KotL+PL lane I noticed is the spammable nukes. Lance + Illuminate are highly spammable, highly damaging. You can't lane around that, it's like laning against Veno+Viper or a strong killcombo Lina+SK type. Difference being, it's squishy carry and squishy support on the giving end, thus lane like that should be approached by heavy gankings. Like Darkseer vs Solo/weak combo. He can survive well most of the time while grabbing XP/Gold and pushing and unless you want a damn happy Dark Seer on the enemy team ,you come over and kill his ass with surprising swing of power advantage.
Actually ganking Kotl+PL lane isn't half hard. Silence wrecks Old man and makes for time when Dopplewalk can't be deployed, i.e. easy dusting. Their relatively low hp pool (unless PL went for casual Vit Booster, then it's 1k at that point) makes it easy for strong gankers, like Night Stalker and his tankiness/void spam, Laser/Missle Tinker, TA, Puck, Pudge, etc.
However a good team will call in TPs, and having to back away from a hero with super-duper-nuke and a nuke/slow with TP assisstance that is likely a strong disabler is not quite healthy. And since Nyx and Magnus fit such "TP assisstance" description...
One has to wonder though. With Keeper glued to PL and their team very much ready to throw themselves in between those 2 and enemies, could you abuse it ? Without Keeper's Recall and TP on CD, whatever lane is left is extremely susceptible to being pushed. However over time it'll lose it's potency when there are less towers/less distance between all their towers, either slowing down the pace (good for PL) or giving room for swift counter-response to baiting aid to Kotl/PL.
I gotta say, Pit Lord could make a very big dent in the current meta with his ultimate that is basically "You want mirrion teamfight ? Too bad, team-tp, fuck your tower."
currently watching my friend's stream while he watches this guy play nothing but clockwerk
crits clock new meta

When he was first added to the pro scene it was at Lycan levels, but after a while people figured out how to shut him down with enough effort. People also usually don't let PL through the pool without some plan or counter
Also, KotL's winrate in general is fucking massive. I would actually be (mostly) fine if PL's stat gains remained the same, but KotL needs a definite nerf.
[editline]11th May 2013[/editline]
KotL's brokenness on the pro level doesn't come from his mana-giving or pushing, it comes from his ultimate. Being able to call back someone into the fight immediately after dying is like buying an Aegis in the shop, and you have no clue how many times I've lost as a hard carry because of KotL's illuminate.
Lame. Rubick with Brewmaster's ult doesn't turn him into 3 elemental Rubicks.
Lame. Rubick with Brewmaster's ult doesn't turn him into 3 elemental Rubicks.
Give Valve time. It cashes in on pixels like TF2 on hats and is more open than a brothel, but it's still beta for reasons like that, polishing the edges.
Some heroes don't even have such flavours like TP animation, Rubick will get likely all Ultimates touched up on. If not by Valve themselves, someone from community will do it for fun and send it over.
I hope so. Little details like that are one of the reasons why I love Rubick.
Allright, this is not fucking funny.
I just wanted to test quickly wether Napalm worked properly, i.e. max 10 stacks, each increases damage and slow, etc, so I made the lobby and did it.
Meanwhile I also decided I want to see wether double-lasso works on Batsy, as in Lasso -> Refresher -> Lasso. Cheats on, no prob, refresher bought, double lasso works, neat, but that's more of a funfact/gimmick than actual thing since half of the success of Bat's initiation is it's swiftness.
But then I've decided to see what happens to Firefly with Refresher in play.
Yes, Firefly is a buff that applies to Batrider. No, it's not limited to 1. Yes, each "line of fire" is it's own creation, even if stacked on top of each other (but from different "fireflies" of course, from the same Batrider, of course). Yes, each firepatch deals it's own fucking damage. Yes, it works with Napalm to full extent.

The thing with Kotl is that he starts to fall off late game and only becomes useful for his other abilities rather then his nuke. Yes, 500 magic damage is great, but 5 seconds is a lot of time and in that short time your team can get their ass kicked or the enemy can see your spirit/you charging your spell and move out of the way.
PL does need a nerf, maybe to his agi gain and just make it 3.3 or nerf his str gain to 1. He needs str items more then anything since he is incredibly squishy which is one of his bigger weakpoints.

so wait, you can lasso two people at once, theoretically?

I'm pretty sure we already knew this for a while now
we now also know you can have people get burned twice a second

From 4.2 to 3.3 for first 16 levels would mean ~14 agi loss.
Oh noes.
And over course of all 24 levelups it would make differnece of ~21 agi.
Oh noooooes.
You do realise this doesn't do a whole lot ? If you are having problems with PL at levels 11-16 decreasing his Agi gain would have to be ridiculous to make it really work.
Problem laning ? Don't lane, gank his ass and take towers.
Problem teamfighting ? Initiate, he can't make illusions while everything around him crumbles. If his team goes in and Ravages/RPs/Black Holes, then except similar results to CK popping off armlet ult, 5 Man Void Chrono or Sven BKB+God's Strength.
so wait, you can lasso two people at once, theoretically?
Practically.
The only part that is iffy is making your way between 2 targets. Or if you have 2 targets, making most of your ult.
pl was complete fucking ass before they buffed his agility and really it's one of the only ways an illusion-based carry can possibly work since hardly anything is transferred over to them.

why not str? one of the main things that makes pl insane is when he gets reaver/heart, the illusions suddenly become a hundred times harder to kill
so don't let him get a reaver
it's honestly so much more KotL that's the issue
PL is just the easiest hero to farm safely on so that's why he's good with KotL

that's not what I was saying, dual said that agi is "the only way an illusion-based carry can possibly work"
str makes illusions stupidly hard to kill. they may not have the attack speed (which makes diffusal blade brutal) but still
are you saying that they should buff his str instead of his agi or something
so he'd have tanky illusions that can't do anything
No, hes wondering how a strength hero but with the same stat gain with constant illusion making like PL would work.
