exactly. illusions for CK are essentially just a 500% damage boost, rather than a key pushing and farming tool like PL's are. sure they're strong and all, but they're not the core of the hero, his strong HP pool, ridiculous stun and great chasing ability are.

Gonna take a few days break from Dota. Been losing too many games and I have the habit at getting really aggravated because I truly always try to avoid feeding, even if it means missing out on farm. Whilst the crew I play with have the tendency to go 0/8 and shit.

tbh ck would still be a great hero if he had a different ult, manta would just be core on him instead of "you should really probably get it"

You forgot that all his illusions interact with his other skills, all of them getting separate crit chances and attacks in, and most importantly how they interact with his rift. If you rift someone with enough illusions, you not only confuse them on which one of them is the real you, you also trap a member of the enemy team in a hurt locker.
Ramming a bunch of illusions directly into the enemy's face really fucks up positioning.

well you seemed to be trying to get the message across that phantasm is more than a bonus to ck's snowballing capacity so i thought you'd be the kind of person who'd go for diffusal instead of lifesteal on ck

And $750,000 for Valve. Thinking about it though it's awesome though, cause literally everyone is winning. The prize pool is going up, the battle bonus alone is worth the cost these game where just a few people have it is netting on average like 150-200 EXP total, and Valve gets to make a killing.

I've never tried that once in my life, even though it doesn't sound all too bad, although he can't make much use of all that agility.
