Mortar Squad; I remember that unit from Warcraft 3. In the original game it was sort of artillery, capable of attacking the ground. I wonder if they'll have the auto-attack have splash-damage like the original unit, though that'd probably be a bit IMBA. Although it could maybe work if it was a passive, maybe even a passive Ult.
My favorite part of the mortar team was that you could spam a designated area without vision.
And if you could lead projectiles on units you were a god among mortals (Because obviously the other player would try to dodge)

My favourite part were the voicelines.

I remember playing mass-Mortar Team armies. Just get some bait units with your hero, poke and prod at gaps in their defensive then fucking blast them with a dozen Mortar Teams. Wasn't useful, sure, but my god it was the second-most fun tactic I've ever done (the most fun being mass Ghoul/Necromancer and just BURY the enemy in skeletons). :v:

Of course the voice lines were glorious.
A lot of the Warcraft 3 voicelines were pretty genius.
Aye.

my worst fear when playing against humans in wc3
1) a metric fuckton of seige tanks
2) a horde of mortar teams that come out of FUCKING NOWHERE AND START ATTACKING YOUR TOWN HALL because they were invisible because of a horde of sorceresses
played a hilarious team matchmaking game where the enemy team decided to do a pl sd lion agressive tri-lane against luna rubick ogre
we got two kills before the match even started and then tons more in lane
I somehow became the sacrificial super hard support rubick and every time I died we would get at least two kills on high priority targets
it was all super pro and intentional of course

Wow! thats...something
Holy shit, I played captains mode and the enemy team rushed roshan and then started to assault mid and they took a couple of towers.
It took about 15 minutes of careful tactics and working around it with Gyro, Faceless and Tide to carefully get those levels back, then when we team wiped them they all said GG and left.
My hands were sweating afterwards!
2 more days until I'm out of LPQ, can't wait~

Cosmetics and unusuals fixed, that's about it.
Would Skeleton King be any good at jungling with his lifesteal passive? Probably no, but it's just fun to wonder.
For other Doom players, when do you prefer to level up Lvl Death? I normally don't get it until 10 after I max Devour and Scorched Earth but I'm thinking about grabbing a rank at 4 for ganks.

it sorta works but remotely competent enemies will figure it out, ward jungle, and gank you to oblivion
he doesn't get like anything from his lifesteal early
naix does better because it's based on enemy hp

Not high enough damage to make the lifesteal sustain your jungling
Double stout shields and some regen if you want to stay alive without burning all of the gold on potions, but then you lack damage. Better off laning.
Also, anyone know if it is possible to reset the "Watched" count on the tournament games? I want to get the viewcount on some of the couriers higher, but I have already seen all the tourney games.

both top and bot lanes were fine, getting some kills, mid kept dying to voker, eventually he ganks the two other lanes, and sunstrikes people, the worst part was he outleveling EVERYONE, the few times we could kill him was because of a combination of doom, fiend's grip and whataever other nuke we had

usually max devour and scorched earth, might skill lvl death? at 4
on my last game i got a point during a chase, and got first blood thanks to that. I say, if you are fine in your lane (not getting harassed much plus a decent support) and don't need scorched earth, go for it
Holy shit, just played the craziest god damn game. We defended for I don't know how long with only one pair of rax and a tower, winning 5 man fights and trying slowly but surely to push out while keeping the ancient safe. Ended at 70 minutes when they decided to time their push to coincide with the creep wave getting in our base, leaving us to either defend the rax or the ancient itself.

If I'm laning and it's relatively safe then I start leveling it along with with Q because by about level 5 you will literally be chunking half the HP of a lot of heroes every time it comes of cooldown. If I'm jungling it's usually after Scorched Earth and Devour.

Depends on how the lane is going. If I think we can get easy kills I'll grab it instead of SE(although I always level 1 SE for the bonus speed if need be). If you want to do a pure gank build go 2 SE, 3 lvl death, and gank at 6 with doom. It's great for being counter-carry Doom. Most heroes can't survive that 225 nuke + doom ontop of you chasing them down with SE on and right clicking them.
This is why I love Doom, he's the most versatile hero on the roster. You can build his skills and items to meet virtually every situation.
I forgot how fucking slow Viper is
good god he is such a boring hero

Doubtful, if that was the case no jungler in the game would be able to do anything unless you mean the fact it's skeleton king that attracts them to his bony ass.

enigma and chen and stuff have units to tank creep damage for them
skeleton king is given no such benefits
