They're probably having difficulties. It even took them a few extra hours to get the stream version uploaded. Still, the silence seems sketchy, given how active Sean Murray has been on Twitter today.
But does it have the multiplayer, that's the big question
How are the PC features? At launch it was a mess and there were almost no graphical options or things like FOV sliders and such. Basically how would TB like the PC features if he were alive today?
FOV was added in the first post-release update IIRC
Does it run any better? I remember running it on full on my 1080 was booty.

I found the perfect ring world to have my base as a space chicken/lizard.
Man, the update is getting such a positive reception just about everywhere I look. Only issues seem to be related to people playing with previous saves.
Would be lying if I'm not extremely tempted to pull the trigger and buy it off of GMG right now.
Please Facepunch, help me to contain this feeling. Set me straight on what you really think of this update so far.
It’s pretty fun in MP
There's now old abandoned space stations, they're infected and have the old space station layout. It's a neat little sight.
Also being able to build anywhere and basically have your little research lab to unlock more stuff to place down is wonderful, I pretty much love every single changes and additions so far, I will note the weird lack of ship customization though (like painting it).
The unfortunate performances (though my machine is showing its age now) is just about the only negative.
i dont know whats up but it crashes constantly for me
i just want to do cool space
Is it worth it to start on a new save ? Mine goes all the way back from thr game launch and i never completed that aholr atlas campaign. Theres so much stuff that changed that it feels better to just go for a new save ?
It's probably better yeah. I've heard about compatibility issues otherwise.
Quick FYI: NMS is currently %50 off on Steam.
Apologies if it was already mentioned.
It's 58% off on GMG.
That's probably where I'm gonna get it if I end up pulling the trigger.
Part of me wonders of the positive reception is just due to the initial hype and will wear down into complaints in a few days or so though. I'm being super cautiously optimistic.
It's out of stock.
Played a couple hours of MP with a friend, i'm pleased to say it's quite fun. The graphical enhancement and changes are legit.
Man. If they released it as an early access game to begin with... theyd have been so much better off.
Like, it couldve been close to minecraft.
Just played MP for the last, like, 5 hours.
Been having tons of fun besides some relatively minor teething issues (weather not always synced, so "oh shit firestorm, gotta find a cave" was met with confusion from the other party )
The ringed planets are so fucking nice to see, it really adds a nice bit of flavor to the universe.
I hope they focus on better optimization though because damn this game runs like a turd sometimes.
If you're on AMD cards, you might need to force V-Sync through your Console and not the game. I was getting mad screen tearing and found that the V-Sync option in game doesn't work for me. After manually forcing it, I had no further tearing.
Game is an absolute blast, I loaded an old 25 hour save from when the game first came out. My Suit, Gun and Ship all had multiple obsolete parts.
I have 2 Million credits, but I ran out of fuel when jumping between two planets. My current travel time is about 2 DAYS (Yes, 2 DAYS) to the nearest Space Station or about 4 Hours backwards to the planet I came from.
I think I might need to start a new game.
I've not figured out all the new elements etc yet, but I have to say, this is now a fully fledged game.
When the Music kicked in as I was watching my Fuel run out and slowly drifting to a stop in nothingness, really made me forget I was even playing a game for a moment.
Well done Hello Games, you managed to complete what you originally started.
Just keep flying in one direction until you find some asteroids, some of them will have fuel
Here's hoping I don't regret buying this as it was on sale, but seems updates have improved it.
Only if you're ok with it still running like ass even on 3000$ PC.
Already asked for a refund tnx to crazy amount of micro stuttering and the game having a really bad time maintaining stable 60fps and by "stable 60fps" I mean not dropping to 12 every time I try to use a jetpack.
My FPS is stable with a 970
The game runs like garbage for me and a lot of AMD GPU users. And when I say garbage I don't mean it sits at 40fps and can't hit 60. I mean it drops to 14 when just looking at a station
Apart from having to force VSync through my gfx card as the ingame toggle does nothing, I've not had any issues.
I'm on R9 390 8GB.
It's so pretty now

Looks like it's %50 off on GOG too.
Game looks a hell of a lot better. The only thing that sucked was my starting planet was a radioactive wasteland that had stalker levels of blowout that would incinerate your shielding if you were caught out in the open.
I think the game purposely puts you on a toxic planet for the tutorial.
I was dropped onto an Ice Planet that had Super Heated storms. The Storms came every 15 minutes and I managed to get too far away from my ship when exploring that I had to jump in the water to stop from getting cooked.
Except the water was freezing me to death so I had to jump out of Freezing Water into Super Heated Rain to get Oxygen then drive back in to stop from cooking in my suit.
