No Man's Sky - "The indie game that stole the show at E3"

FYI, there's an experimental build available to test hotfixes. Might be worth checking out: NEXT Experimental Branch Update 2
Are there any massive flying creatures? The only somewhat big ones I've found so far were these noodle eels

i wish flying creatures had better animations, they're so rigid and it looks absolutely retarded
So I found a Superconductor on a planet, and it's worth 2mil. Which is like 4x as much as I have currently.
But no shops can even buy it, they all have the price as red.
What do I do?
Have you tried selling it? I thought red prices are still sellable, just assumed it meant it was a trading commodity and thus not used in crafting.
Thanks, managed to sell it. Just odd that it shows red when turned white for my second one when the price was lower.
I think red means you're getting a lower price, e.g. the Seller buys it for X% less (denoted by the -2.5% for example). I think White means it is at its value or more. I could be wrong though because items turn Red if you do not have enough Nanite Clusters.
This is how I've understood it as well, red is pretty much the "you could get it for better if you hunted down other traders enough" color, but I've still just sold things in that state plenty of times
I've had red prices on items that differed 0.0% (artifacts from ancient ruins)
Could be how they have set up their formatting, price has to be greater than 0% for it to flag as a positive / beneficial sale.
Also, I've not built them yet, but how good / helpful are the Economy or Conflict Scanners? Are they easy to use?
Only have the Economy Scanner installed on my ship, but it's pretty useful to see the buy/sell rates in the galaxy map have it show trade outposts locally.
you use it from the utilities section of the quick menu for a local scan galaxy map is automatic.
I haven't seen anyone post about this, but even if they have it can't hurt to remind people: don't send your freighters on any expeditions. There is currently a massive, save-corrupting bug that is most likely ruining your save without you even noticing until it's too late.
You'll have to open up your save to check if you've been affected, and if you have, you'll have to stop playing entirely until HelloGames fixes this, as the nature of the bug literally overwrites your save data. Just a heads up.
Fuck.
I haven't been affected luckily, I don't even have any codes after that term.
Also, the experimental patch that's now on Steam *should* fix it with a retroactive fix following later, if i'm reading to correctly.
From what I can understand, if you're unlucky enough to have your save data fully corrupted by this, you're unlikely to be able to recover it. It also affects backups.
Luckily, it seems if you can still load your save and it isn't entirely corrupted, it can be fixed by switching to experimental, and an upcoming fix will probably solve your issues. Still, if you have the repeated seeds in your save, I'd stop playing entirely for now.
I'm playing this on the PS4 so I'll see what happens when I load it up, if it breaks my save file I won't be too upset, I'm only a few hours in.
So I wanted to see if I could build a really tall tower.

Conclusion: I can indeed build a really tall tower.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Hold up, first the game was midweek sale, then it was weekend sale, now it is again midweek sale?
I only bought it at last minutes because I was really indecisive but now it is"MIDWEEK MADNESS! Offer ends 6 August".
What is going on, are they going to permenently decrease the price to 30 after the sale? Should I refund and wait till that happens and then sale comes on top of that.
Seems I haven't been affected, but have had a bug where a damaged frigate shows 0 components buggered, docking and leaving it solves the mission, but then it keeps appearing.
A worse bug is when you dock on your freighter and it comes under attack that never stops because of another large ship parked and shooting at you, and you can't leave or do anything but quit and re-load
Okay so admittedly i'm not very far into the game yet, but how do you guys get so many materials?
Early game I usually just mine what I need + farm common materials while exploring.
It gets a lot easier later on, when you can find a planet rich with resources, set up auto-mining equipment, a teleporter, and a farm. Vehicles can help you carry large amounts of resources back from resource deposits for storage.
Wow Sean Murray was right about what he said for once
Anyone wanna play COOP with me?
Are you just not supposed to use storage containers? they have like 4 slots per container and they are GIGANTIC
Is there any base storage, like crates I can just put down?
A word of warning, NMS doesn't ask the host for confirmation when you join them. I tried joining an old friend playing, didn't know he didn't have to confirm, so I just got an autistic flurry of screams at me. Well there goes another guy out of my friends list and into my block list.
Haha what? If doesn't want people joining him he can play offline.
Why are you friends with people like that in the first place.
The stacks are double the size of your normal inventory, but yeah, they are pretty bad.

So basically, change most settings to Medium because there's not a huge difference in visual quality, and really only use Ultra quality textures if you have more than 4GB of VRAM.
Also, VSYNC is broken in the game. Hello pls fix.
