No Man's Sky - "The indie game that stole the show at E3"

It gets alright. Lot of options, you start actually growing resources in farms, get a trade terminal. Then it turns into some Intergalactic Stardew Valley
So are bounties bugged? I never get credit for them.
how do i deactivate my personal forcefield
Okay my only true criticism of the game design-wise is the fact that when you land ANYWHERE on ANY PLANET, there will ALWAYS be a SINGLE sentinel that will spawn next to you when you land.
It's a really gamey mechanic and I wish that the sentinels would only have a chance to spawn, would spawn much further away and sometimes only spawn when you do things like gather mats and kill animals. Hell, you can even add sentinel patrols or swarms that have a chance to cross your path.
Right now it's killing my immersion big time.
Fleet combat vessels warp in automatically to assist you in fights iirc, at least i've had it happen once. You can also summon the freighter yourself and its entourage to give a nasty surprise to pirates
I usually only name systems or planets if they have something notable about them e.g. one paradise planet I found and decided to make my base.
found an S-class ship

Got started on that base. Its a pain in the neck to get materials but its really rewarding once it all starts coming together. Glass has proven to be the most obnoxious thing to get

i find the spawning of quadrupeds/walkers to be the most annoying thing. 2 drones spawn with no quad/walker in sight, and as soon as the drones go into an actual "target sighted" stance, the game hitches and a quad/walker blatantly spawns right behind the drones? how the hell did anyone think this was ok?
Imo the walkers should be dropped by spacecraft if they absolutely must have the walkers spawn close to the player.
I'm surprised at how cozy this game is

Not sure if already been posted, but this is super cool, I hope he finds his ship.

I don't think the game has any cheat protection, why would anyone be interested in that bounty when you could just mod all that cash in?
Because it isn't as fun?
It's a dope looking ship, it'll be cool if it works out for him.
I'm trying to make sense of how NMS' multiplayer works. You can share resources with other players, but can you collaborate on building bases? Would the ownership of who owns which parts get weird? Do you have to build all your own stuff, and your friends have to build their own base separate from yours?
Hilariously, as far as I can see, theres little to no restrictions on base building between players. Only one player has ownership over the base, but any player can add (or remove) parts at will, and those parts will be permanent.
It seems ripe for griefing, I have no idea why they didn't consider that, but at the very least it makes it very easy for two players to basically share a base, aside from storage rights.
Luckily, with the base overhaul system, its also very easy to have two bases within walking distance of eachother, which is probably preferable.
I rescued a giant freighter, that's my personal ship on the right, and the rest of my fleet behind it.

Anyone else had a problem with e.g. subterranean relic markers just moving or disappearing entirely when you try to get close to them by digging? Annoying as fuck.
I've noticed the same thing. However, if it's a bounty that's in an atmosphere in a planet and the ship crashes into the ground, I get the bounty.
If it's out in space, I usually never get it.
Same happens to me every time I try to cheese my way to them, you are better off looking for small cavern entry nearby.
Seriously my freighter is huge, it's wider then a Starbase.

Found this 9+ mil crashed ship. Shame I can't sell my old ships, still got the beginner ship and the crap heap seen in the left.

Entered some random persons system who was flying around fighting pirates - I joined the fight and helped them clear the pirates, then got in close to take a nice photo of our two ships in space.

Did you know pressing "A" to take a photo also fires your spaceship's weapon?
I felt so bad. I one hit the dude, and he left.
I'm pretty sure that's a feature so you can't just cheese it. You need to find the cavern entrance.
It's only annoying because there's no feedback on it.
Aah k. Had weirder things happen through actual bugs, so thought it was just more of the same.
AFAIK you can only build on a base if the owner is present. Anything built on the base will return to the owner of the base. If you're away nobody can touch your base.
There was one bloke who joined and messed up my larval cores run by breaking all the eggs before I could get to them. Would be nice if there were a way to prevent people joining entirely.
You should be able to by heading into options, Network & voice and
disabling "Network play", no one has joined me in the 20 or so hours
I've kept it off.
I'm curious, what are you guys all playing NMS on? PC, PS4 or Xbone? I'm asking because, if we have enough of a population on any of the platforms, maybe we should all scout for a niiiice planet, find the portal cords, and then all settle bases there. Make it some sort of communal facepunch planet. What do you guys think?
And to figure out if it's worth it, rate me agree if you're on PC, disagree if you're on PS4, and funny if you're on Xbone.
Are the storage cube things you can build just for decoration?
