The Fleshpound's rage timer resets every time it swings at an opponent, regardless if it connects or not. Baiting a Fleshpound to attack and jumping out of its range at the last second is a popular tactic for kiting Berserkers and Medics. But if you're going to bother using a knife against a Fleshpound, why not just kill it while you're at it since it's a well known fact that the knife is the best weapon to kill Fleshpounds with?
Well i used the knife because it's easier to run away when you're holding the knife and it's just what i saw someone do once, but thanks for solving my problem, I was so confused

Marphy do you see the fucking future why do you rate everything late
New perk revealed for KF2
Liking both rifles and pistols as a sharpshooter, I'm pretty torn about this. Though, I'm edging more towards gunslinger since I use pistols more than rifles, but we better get a good collection of pistols for this to happen.
The only time I used pistols was when that weight bug with the .44 was in. Played on a server with about 40 people on Hard difficulty and zipping around the map faster then the rocket of the Pat.
why would i want to take pistol only perk? besides being badass
:| Is there a reason to do anything else in KF?
why would i want to take pistol only perk? besides being badass
I would probably use it for the same reasons I use Berserk now. For fun and for the first round of the game. Berserk helps you slaughter everything in the first round even with just the knife and I'd imagine pistol-based perk would do the same with pistols.
I was playin' killing floor by myself and suddenly I found a friend! Unfortunately it was short lived. [sp]I thought they fixed this glitch, apparently not. I did this accidentally, I wish I knew how to do it purposefully, I'd like to have pet crawlers follow me around[/sp]
ok guys i'm really at a loss over this whole fleshpound knife thing, I swear it works, I used to do it all the time and I've seen other people do it too? But I'm looking all over the place and I can't find anything about it, it's like I imagined the whole thing. I'm not sure if I'm going insane or what
I have never heard of that tactic before.
I have somehow made friendly fire active on the bots, despite the settings in the ini being 0. I can't for the life of me figure it out and bots kill each other (And me) all of the time

unless you're close to the wall like in that screenshot, why not just crouch soon after the rocket is fired? That normally saves you from scene death.

I hope the traders dialog isn't filled with unintentional innuedos in Killing Floor 2
also loads of non-free contect including 12 guns and tons more characters.
Are you telling me that there was real life police officer with Constable Briar's voice, that is amazing.
Holy shit, THE voice is an actual British policeman. This explains everything.
Holy shit, THE voice is an actual British policeman. This explains everything.
I remember reading about that, and being equally excited He did the secondary voice set, IIRC. Primary voice set (Mr.Foster) is done by Gibson himself, if I am not mistaken
Are you telling me that there was real life police officer with Constable Briar's voice, that is amazing.
iirc from a RO2 interview with Totalbiscuit, listening to their CEO talk casually while the KF voice is resonating is really jarring :v:
Despite any problems I've ever had with Killing Floor and/or all the paid DLC weapons near the end of it's life - I'll say one thing: Their audio engineer was fucking superb. I only do some hobby-esq dicking around with audio stuff for games, and Killing Floor's is some of the best. You won't believe how much foley there is just for the one metalworks level. The guns were all absolutely excellent as I remember them - just with the right amount of power. Even though the voice acting was comical, I grew to love it after awhile as it was a pretty stark contrast. Audio engineers are an overlooked field, in my opinion. All it takes is a weak gunshot to ruin a gun, or a recycled sound to pull you out for a second as you recollect where you've heard it before. There's a reason that one of my problems with Source games is that a ton of sounds get recycled, and recycled hardcore. (L4D2's SCAR makes an adorable pap-pap-pap sound.) So I have no shame in saying that, as odd as it is, one of the reason I'm looking forward to Killing Floor 2 is the audio. :v:
I always thought the zeds had pretty good sound design as well, even if they had silly voice acting.
Oh fuck don't even get me started. Digging in on those, it was raw beauty. A ton of the ZEDs have rare voice lines muffled between all the other one's groans. The god damn Fleshpound's rage cycle has all of the bits separated. It's the utmost tiny detail, but that means instead of say 4 "rage" sounds, when they go from yellow to red, there could be a mix of many, many more since the screams, metal grinding, and such things were all separate, randomized files.
