There's so much new info I can't even comprehend it all!
Zed time is even more awesome:
Matrix fans should enjoy the fact that ZED time now turns every individual bullet into a projectile that moves in slow motion with a distortion wake behind it.
Better melee:
There will be certain skills that improve your character’s melee abilities (more on those later), including a Quick Draw Strike that strikes with the weapon as its unsheathed.

Tripwire only had a katana to show (and mentioned a sledgehammer), but rather than the sword operating as a one-dimensional weapon, there’s a surprising amount of nuance. Left mouse is light attack, and right mouse is heavy, but more importantly the direction you’re moving at the time you attack on WASD dictates the motion of your attack.
"Zed juggling"
KF2 allows for what Tripwire has nicknamed “Zed juggling”: in slow motion, a cartwheeling enemy can be propelled upward with successive shots, or dissected in mid-air.
Destructible lights:
The ZEDs won’t be the only things you’ll be wreaking havoc upon, as the environments can also be destroyed. More than that, doing so can affect the gameplay. For example, bullets and explosives have been endowed with the ability to disable lights, so you’ll need to be careful lest you force you and your team to fight in the dark.
Night vision goggles, ammo bags:
Some examples of these Perk Skills include Night Vision goggles, a “Callout” ability that lets everyone on the team know there’s a cloaked enemy strolling about, faster reloads, larger magazines, increased weapon damage, and even a shared ammo bag for each teammate to take from.
Perks start with their weapon from the beginning levels:
Another very welcome improvement is that each class starts the game off with a weapon loadout fit for their abilities (Support class starts with a shotgun). This gives Tripwire room to make the initial wave of baddies — a “gimme” in the first game — more intense
Trader is gone:
And when you’re ready to upgrade your arsenal, you can head on over to the new-and-improved weapon dealer that’s been replaced by a vending machine. It makes more sense and no one liked the weapon dealer anyway.
Biotics Lab is remade:
Tripwire has only showed off two of the game’s maps — Burning Paris and a remade Biotics Lab,
New boss:
They did tease a new boss that isn’t the Patriarch
More long-term support:
If you enjoyed the community created content the original game saw so much of, they’re making it even easier to create unique levels, stories, and even monsters this time around. Unsurprisingly, it was also confirmed that they plan to lend Killing Floor 2 the same longtime support its predecessor enjoyed.

Also, new to this year's game is a quick melee attack button to use when you have a gun equipped.

Where as before you would need to, for instance, level up support with shotgun damage and welding, those are now combined into one unified XP value. It allows players to level up how they want.
KILL FLOOR 2... THE MOVIE
Last but not least, we saw a quick teaser for a short movie called Killing Floor Uncovered. It's a short film that's based in the world but stands on its own. It's not completely based on the events in the game, but it's a part of the story and it can keep growing. The teaser starts off as a Horzine Biotech commercial, which becomes static-y, then shows Zeds killing scientists in a lab. It also shows a first hand view of a scientist walking around with a pistol.
My fellow nipple piercing lovers, the cause is not yet lost! Let us band together in the official Tripwire campaign forum thread, for I have come up with the perfect compromise that will undoubtedly satisfy both Tripwire and the millions and millions of nipple piercing fans alike:

I'm the only one who's fascinated with that new boss that wasn't the Patriarch?
Maybe is the female version of it, like the mod devs were planning?
Page 100!

God damn, I thought I was hyped before. The specimens 2 video has sent me to whole new levels.
The fucking Husk man, also the Gorefast trying to scream and all he does is spit blood, so awesome. If even the Husk are more fucked up now, the Scrake is going to be insane, can't wait

I suspect it'll be the scrake, some new heavy duty zeds, and a glimpse at the patriarch and new boss. With how much effort is going into this game, it seems really unlikely that they'd only add two new wimp zeds and a boss. On another note, I really hope they keep doing holiday events in KF2 with unique zeds.

I hope they don't do holiday zeds because it ruins MY IMMERSION, the most important part of any game.

A level 6 sharpshooter had to ask us what wave the patriarch was...
I hope they add this

A bit of backstory:
It would appear that Killing Floor 2 wants to have more of a narrative focus that its previous incarnation. The story begins one month after the “End of the Line” content pack from the first game, where the Patriarch (the main boss character) jumped onto a train over to France. Biotechnology corporation Horzine’s failed experiments have now spread across the continent of Europe, and various governments and militaries have collapsed in their attempts to contain the threat. Horzine takes up the task of cleaning up the disaster, as long as the remaining world governments pay them a handsome sum. The team recruits ex-military persons, mercenaries, and civilians to make good on these offers, which is where the players come in
What is the vending machine trader exactly:
After the first wave, we found out that the Trader has been replaced by a 3D printer that you can “download” weapons from, though a new trader will be shown on a screen.
Megacorporation causes one of the largest disasters in human history and wants to be paid to fix it.
Sounds about right.
scrake is prolly my favourite enemy, so the fact they're giving him some limelight makes me think he's gonna get even more awesome.
Best personality of all the zeds, that subtle cackle as he slowly walks towards you, the fact that he doesn't feel the need to sprint even though he can, until you piss him off. He's an arrogant motherfucker and I love it.

I die to Scrakes the most, I fucking swear. When a Fleshpound rages, everyone is immediately aware and emptying their magazines into the damn thing, but people's attention slips much easier when a Scrake zooms in to saw your head off, and they never seem to die in time once they're close.
The Sound Overhaul for Husk is in my opinion the best.

Indeed. My favorite part about the Scrake was how creative he and his Holiday Skins are. I mean c'mon, He's a friggin Doctor/Monkey/Bunny/Jack Frost/Zombie with a Pigmask with a CHAINSAW! What's not to like? Also there is Mirror Mode which swaps the Zed's models. Clot are now stalkers, Kevin is a clot now, Crawler are now sirens and the Scrake is now a Crawler walking to you WANTING A HIGH FIVE. Now that is friggin awesome.
The Sound Overhaul for Husk is in my opinion the best.
The way he coughs and screams with burning anguish makes him pretty intimidating.
I don't think Scrakes are that dangerous thanks to the fact that they don't charge until they take damage, their very vulnerable head and stunning possibilities. Decent sharpshooter, great support or zerker will take care of them easily on any difficulty.
The problem is that you can't really kill a scrake without raging it if you aren't a zerker or ss. That's what makes it such a threat, with an FP, you have some control over whether he rages or not.

I found this to be a constant controversial topic when people see the Stalker in the the second specimen video.
Being sexual is the Stalker's theme, isn't it? Having it trying to kill you and seduce you at the same time adds to the overall disturbing factor, imo.

Even in the first game the Stalker acted the same way. At least, in terms of voiceovers and how they dressed.
i'm not a big fan of the stalker feeling itself up
That'd probably be more effective than actually attacking you. The stalker is probably the least threatening enemy in the game.
