It's not irrational at all tbh, I'm a major fanboy of killing floor but i won't be dumping £30 on the game till reviews come in from sources i trust and they give it a thumbs up, that's not because of the PS4 release, it's cause you shouldn't just buy shit based on trailers, sneak peak interviews and screenshots alone.

its mainly because of things like ubisoft making people 'lose faith' in any developer (like farcry 4 on pc getting parity graphics with the ps4, idk if that actualyl happened though) obviously a lot of people get batshit over it, but its a legitimate, though small concern

I was going to say, I am a fanboy and I would spend any amount of money on this game as soon as it's available for purchase because I have stupid amounts of faith.
I have a laptop, and before this announcement I was going to try and wing it with the PC release, but now I could get it on my PS4 to see all that meat fly. It is nice to have options, but if there seems as if there is going to be a big disparity between Early Access and release I might just have to see what it is like on PC.

kf2 uses a modified unreal engine 3, so it shouldn't be that much of a worry unless they completely drop the ball on optimization.

And this is why I dont really mind the ps4 thing, Is going to end like TF2, Payday and Bioshock 2 multiplayer. Is going to live for 2-3 months then nobody will play because the console will get other games and the updates will never come at time.

We get all the good stuff though, map packs, mods, dedicated servers - everything that makes it last longer.
PS4 is there to bolster sales at launch, which is fantastic.

out of the dlc characters, ashley harding and loadsamoney for sure

My best guess is that the most liked/unique characters from the first game will get in.
I only hope that they bring back Aldridge and Alfred Anderson. Maybe D.A..R also.
