SAM can do that? Hmmm. I may consider bumping my near untouched perks to 3 so I can actually do shit with them in the event I should need to use them. [editline]19th May 2013[/editline] I know it bad, but hey, at least I'm not jumping all perks to level 6 without knowledge of how the game works.
I boosted up dumb shit like level 1,2 beserker Fuck that, I may aswell just cough on the enemies Also weld points, fuck that too, I'm not going to spend hours and hours just standing at a door grinding away like a dipshit
Another reason why I'm not willing to join a Suicidal or higher game is bc you can no longer judge a person's skill based on their level thanks to level grinding maps. Your team may look leveled enough when you're in the lobby, but three waves into the match, two of your teammates are dead bc they bought off-perk weapons and tried to roam around the map instead of staying in one spot, while another one doesn't really understand what their class is supposed to do and constantly needs to get bailed out. You really can't tell if someone has skills or is just a 14 year old boy that did level grinding so that he could access the harder difficulties, thinking he could handle it just bc of his level, until its too late.
True. Yesterday, I was playing Abusement Park on Suicidal, and there were 3 LV4, 2 LV6 and 1 LV5 (me as berserk :P ). Well, the LV4 guys were who killed the Patriarch when the rest died.
Anyone else annoyed by sharpshooter elitists hating on demos and firebugs because "muh precious aim"? I swear the game could use the removal of sharpshooter perk.
Sometimes it's ok to call out a demolitions because they can disrupt vision and bounce a target around while they're in the cloud. Especially if they're playing higher difficulties and don't have a clue how much damage they need to dish out to vaporize a target without providing cover for it or forecasting brief minutes of overcast and fog. I can't tell you how many times a panicked Demo has emptied on a scrake while I'm positioning and bracing for a body block, only to have it get pissed off bounced around and run right past me out of the cloud.
A good Demo doesn't empty his entire MGL on a Scrake. A good Demo doesn't even fire a grenade at a Scrake, because if they were smart, they'd know what enemies have explosive resistance or not.
That's the only reason why I haven't gone from Hard to Suicidal, even though I have the skills to handle it. All of the skills and teamwork in the world means shit if "xXX_BeaUtyInChaOs_XXX", a level one Commando with the Pyro skin, joins, then fucks you over by using a Shotgun and getting killed within the first minute of a wave. I could find a group that plays Suicidal, but eh. :S
i use pyro skin, im cool as fuck though
Anyone else annoyed by sharpshooter elitists hating on demos and firebugs because "muh precious aim"? Gotta love it when weapons in 3rd person view disappear and I don't really have an idea for what they're using [t]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/577863562433045435/C880A46247350DFDAC69B89D0728FB07C7BB6E14/[/t]
I'm in no way saying perks should be removed, but bad players nearly always pick firebug and demo above all else ...
I've found that Demos are usually decent. It's the Firebugs are are always terrible and just piss off everybody. In all of my games, I've only played a handful where the resident Firebug didn't spam the Flamethrower everywhere and make it a bitch to headshot Scrakes and FPs.
I'll be perfectly honest with you, I didn't use flamethrower at all when I was leveling Firebug. Flare Revolvers and Trench Gun and then the eventual Husk Gun were far superior. Not to mention more fun.
Yeah, firebug player are very skillful OR very retarded. Once I had a great time on Manor Hard with lvl5 firebug dude. Another time I was playing West London Hard with 2 of my friends, then some lvl3 firebug guy joined. He spammed every scrake with his flare revolvers.
So I was just playing Suicidal on Bedlam, some asshole decided that just before the end of the wave he'd run to the trader and weld up every door on the way there. Why would someone do that? [editline]19th May 2013[/editline] Oh and I tried votekicking him, instead people just countered by voting to kick me and didn't speak English so I couldn't ask them to help get rid of that tool
It's actually fleshpounds who are weak to explosions, scrakes get the normal explosive damage.
Yeah, that's what I was implying. Never a good idea to hit a Scrake or Siren with Grenade Launchers. Siren is a special situation, you just have to be mindful of firing behind or around it, because the knockback can actually push it into your team.
when i was a noob, some guys threw money in a room so i could get it and then they locked me in there
Third day playing Suicidal and I have already beaten one of the most difficult maps in KF [t]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/597003860876250509/97538286DC55CDC37872A8C1D331C4C406171169/[/t]
Honestly, in my opinion Demolitions is a completely useless class exactly because of the smoke. I mean come on, tone it down a little. [editline]19th May 2013[/editline] I like playing Firebug because the Mac10 and Trench Gun are so fun to use, I rarely ever touch the flamethrower.
The value of Demolitions shoots up come Fleshpound and Patriarch rounds. It's possible for Sharpshooters, and maybe a Support Specialist to down a Fleshpound, but the security that a pipebomb from a leveled Demolitions provides can't be beat.
gotta love how hard it is to find a HoE server when most of them instabans you for only being a Lv 5 megascrub noob
About demolitions, As iv'e said before it's entirely dependent on the person playing it. Demo is either of great use to a team or scourge of the earth there's no middle ground.
Discovered something new while messing about, if you're crouching you can't walk off a ledge of any kind. Seems handy.
It feels like I'm the only one using the flame-thrower, I like it better than the shotgun. :v: I never use it on the big stuff though.
To be honest, welding doors on teammates is either a dick move or a 'harmless' joke, depends entirely on the situation though.
I called that "passive trolling" I'd weld every single door in the map, every chance I got.
Discovered something new while messing about, if you're crouching you can't walk off a ledge of any kind. Seems handy.
I use this all the time when playing HoE on Foundry when I jump up onto the rails. It gives me a good vantage point to both heal my teammates and pick off crawlers, clots, and stalkers that are walking around on ground level without having to worry about tumbling to my death.
Anyone in Northwest US or Canada want to play KF and/or drink?
While I was playing last night: gldminor was killed by the Fleshpound gldminor: aaaadwwwwssssssssss :v:
Discovered something new while messing about, if you're crouching you can't walk off a ledge of any kind. Does anyone have a link to that erotic KF fanfic with the stalker?
Does anyone have a link to that erotic KF fanfic with the stalker?
There should be one written by a Stalker. It would just be her getting kissed over and over.
It took me a while, but now is over: Aside of some maps that I have to beat yet on Suicidal (Icebreaker, Waterwork, Hillbilly), I´m ready to play on Hell on Earth.
