I've played this map, its pretty good, but like Postal 2 there is nothing really in the map, its just sort of rooms and not much inside of them
What is wrong with Hilliby map?
All other maps run at about 115 fps average at max settings, but my computer struggles to run Hilliby even on absolute lowest settings - framerate drops sometimes even under 30 there.

It crashes the game for me
and on some other more detailed maps too

I remember it being fine when it just launched, but now it also lags a fair bit on my computer.
Another map that has quite bad lag for me, is the centre room of Ice Cave somehow, anyone else having that too?
Hilliby is also the only map that can overheat my laptop when there's Firebug around.

I just tested Ice Cave and the Centre room lags for me as well, but not as badly as at Hilliby though.
Lowest settings did not do anything to framerate so I guess it must be cpu bound somehow.
What would be so complex about the hillbilly map that's causing so many problems?
I don't recall anything that bad, I don't even remember having issues on that map

I play it on highest with 50-60 on my piece of shit laptop that overheats and shuts down if I play Civ 5
I was fucking near of beating Hillbilly Horror on Suicidal alone. But then, I had the bad luck of being near of a pipebomb when the Patriarch fired a rocket.

I was doing Suburbs on Normal solo, got to see 3 Fleshpounds spawn together while I was a Support.
Guess my best chance is to throw loads of nades, spam AA12 and just deal with any damage along the way.
A Husk's fireball detonated 2 grenades right as I threw them, instant death.
Same thing happened to me as I was shooting a fleshpound with a LAW.
Rocket goes two feet, gets exploded by husk.
We all died shortly afterward.
Am I the only dude that prefers HSG1 + Hunting shottie to AA12 + hunting shottie? The AA12 always seems to run out of ammo too fast.

I've recently started using that combo too, as AA-12 is just too weak in my opinion and takes damn long time to reload. I also might use the pump action as it never hurts to have a couple of shots loaded in case of some crawler getting up to my face.
I kinda think the AA12 runs out fast, tried out the hunting shotgun recently, it's fun to use. Also it works great to blast both barrels into a Scrake's face and watch him get thrown backward by someone else's final blow.

For taking out any big guys if I have to. Taking out Scrakes in two bolts in such better than a innocent clueless Commando unloading an entire magazine into one.
The two other Medic Guns are bullshit, the first one has enough recoil to break your collarbone, and the next one is identical to the MP5 as seen above, instead it shits out twice as much ammo at the same speed for almost higher damage. Plus it's $10,000.

On higher difficulties most supports don't use the AA12 unless there's a need for it, even the HSG-1 does not get that much of a look in because it does not have an interrupt able reload. AA12 users are the selfish idiots who kill whore, most of the time anyway.

Same thing again really, the higher teir medic guns are all pretty samey till you hit higher difficulties, the Shiz is a straight upgrade over the the MP5 but it's ammo pool is equally small and the M7 is a disguised commando gun. Honestly when you get to level 5 / 6 hop into suicidal / HoE and you'll really see the difference.
I'm sad. This would have been an awesome screenshot if the patriarch's dead body didn't decide to despawn right when I took it. And the text gets in the way. Oh well.
