The objective map is pretty dull. I hope there will be more that aren't escort missions. Something along the lines of the RE1 mission map would be fun.

So what are my thoughts ? I thought the new mode was pretty good but could have done much more but thanks to it put in the kit you can make story,objective,etc maps. The steamland map is pretty good but dayum its so tight and the back part where you have to protect lockheart is atrocious its like in a small cramped room with no space and a swarm of enemies. The new character mrs steampunk foster is pretty good but in my opinion I don't like playing as female characters just my opinion no need to get mad at me. The npc lockheart could have been another dlc character I mean you got him model'd and walking animations but just take the cane away and walk on a shotgun or a pistol bending to the ground. The guy has potential to be a character and not go to waste for 1 map mode. The mrs foster dlc is ok but don't have it and the weapon fiasco holy shit we had this happen 2 or 3 times already its getting annoying as hell just stop they need money to support their games and to put time and effort to killing floor and their upcoming projects and such.

I give it a 7.0 or 8.0 due to lockheart having the potential and the pukey the doll hiding spots man those where hard to find and such.

The new gamemode is fun but its already been done by mods before.
So I'm excited for this event. I like steampunk guns, and I loved this game back when I played it regularly in 2010. Should I get it now or how soon would it go on sale on Steam? I'd probably get the new gun DLCs, but not the glod ones.

The guns are on sale now, and I doubt they'll be much cheaper when steam goes on sale.

Not trying to be a asshole but it's kinda of impossible to do the Objective mode with some people that are lvl 2-3 because the fleshpound on the second objective. It just rape everybody else while you are trying to fix the boxes. As i said, it's hard IF you have a team of low levels. Also WTF WERE YOU GUYS THINKING ABOUT THIS BLOAT DOLLS? We wasted 45 mins to find 1 doll and at end 9 dolls left

Don't worry, it's also hard if your team is full of Level 5-6s. The 500£ you get after the first objective are not enough to deal with the meat mincing bastards

I had to host a listen server for my friends tonight, since we couldn't find any open servers in the browser.
Also, does this happen with every big update? My friends and I can't beat a single map because on every wave, regardless of whether people are dying, AT LEAST one of the randoms will leave, and a new one will join. So basically, me and my 2-3 friends get to have the difficulty padded for us everywhere. I guess it'll help us improve, if nothing else.

So I saw that this was 80% off and immediatly bought it. Installing it now as I am typing. Are the players a bit...hardcore? Like,if a beginner joins who doesn't know what the fuck to do,do they get mad or something? Or are there special beginner servers or something?

One useful tip is to not join the harder difficulties before getting to know the perks and leveling some of them up a bit.
I managed to get a Fleshpound to fight a Bloat yesterday.

Don't join harder difficulties (medium should be fine) and try to use class specific weapons (Don't use a flamethrower as a sharpshooter) and you'll be fine.
So, when is the F2P week starting? My friend would like to try it out before purchasing it

Yes, I was playing it with a buddy, we did the 'securing the gold' objective, after the trader, Lockheart said a few things and as soon as the next wave came, my dear old pal crashed, however I didn't crash, I think he said he got a 'General Protection Fault'. Either way everything was working sort of fine up to that point aside from Lockheart sliding up the railings near the flywheel.
So, now that I am done with the Medic, it's time to start leveling up another perk
Support Specialist is surprisingly fun. What other perk would you guys suggest? All of my perks are sitting at level 3, bar Firebug, Commando (lv1) and Sharpshooter (lv4)
After I leveled medic as my first one I just kind of swapped between all the others except firebug because I never really liked their guns.
