So the Orca Bomb Propeller is quite fun. Its quite good as an off-class weapon for support given that you can bounce the bomb off the wall and reduce the risk of spending the rest of your life in a wheelchair.
I've watched a fleshpound spawn behind a lightpost in that first area of KFO_Steamland on Normal. Thankfully he got stuck on the rails in the middle of the stairs and in the middle of me reloading and wondering if I can take a screenshot without him mauling me he suicided via the game's 'Zed is too far from player / stuck, suicide to speed the game up' feature.
Abusement Park still has some of the worst spawns I've seen, which is to say I've seen zeds spawn out of thin air some 20 feet away from where I'm looking. A lot of the summer themepark maps seem to have weird spawns to them.
Wonder how the maps would play out if the spawning volumes were only clustered around the out-of-bounds areas. Would anyone be interested in a vanilla map pack version?
Welp this takes longer than anticipated, managed to get the Holiday maps including the newest done. Will update with this post with the bulk vanilla maps sometime tomorrow. Was kinda suprised to see that the out of bounds pier area to the right side in steamland was totally unused, added a few spawns and ramps to give it more of an invasion feeling. Finally found all the Pukey dolls after searching for around 3 hours. Also managed to get 4 of the other achievements in the meantime. Missed out on getting the one where you take no damage while carrying the gold. A Fleshpound started raging when I was about 5 feet from the pallet. I thought I set the gold down before he hit me, but it must've happened 1 millisecond before. It looked like they both happened at the exact same time.
On kf_farm normal, lvl2 Sharpshooter. My team left me to deal with 1 Fleshpound, 1 Siren, 1 Bloater and buttloads of Gorefasts alone :(

Those pipes are low enough to count as walls, I was running towards the pipe, those guys suddenly spawned and then I backpedaled for a moment and took the screenshot. The pipe's 'hitbox' are also low enough that when you swing your melee at their head it hits pipes instead of the zed's head. If you do it on a higher difficulty or with other players, and you're about to get hurt or fear for your safety (Incoming Scrake or FP), the Drop Weapon button will drop the gold, and it won't disqualify you, I think. Don't worry about your weapons, when carrying Gold, it is always dropped first when you press the Drop Weapon button.
I've had burning teammates die on me because of that bug One of the funiest thing we did was gang on a Clot with our knives. The poor thing was stuck and also invulnerable. Many laughs were had when my friend shouted "YOU CAME TO THE WRONG NEIGHBOURHOOD MOTHERFUCKER" :v:
Bit of a shame that the Orca seems to have an ironsight, but the weapon is tilted upward and it's not used. [editline]10th July 2013[/editline] Oh yeah, one last thing, although the Orca is the exact same as the M79 in every way other than the modified nades, I should point out they don't travel too fast. The speed of their travel is more comparable to thrown grenades than the super fast M79 grenades.

I did 5 new achievements (Hide and go Puke, power up, 2 escort achievements and arcade gamer) but Steampunk Mrs. Foster didn't unlock for me. Bummer.
I did 5 new achievements but Steampunk Mrs. Foster didn't unlock for me. Bummer.
Have you also completed the new map on both objective mode and regular mode? Or did you also count those in there? You need 4 non-map related achievements to get it unlocked.

I did beat it in Killing Floor mode, however, and have 3 new weapon achievements.

As a gold carrier, I just ran the hell away from everything while I let my teammates distract the zeds. Also, I'm not sure, but I think you only lose the achievement if you take health damage, not including armor damage. Being a level 5 Medic, I got armor hit by a Clot or two during that run, but I was fine.
Am I the only one who finds the Combat Shotgun to be utterly useless I'd love using it if only it wouldn't fuck me in the ass without lube because you never have time to keep it loaded, due to mag size and reload speed

The closest I could do was just making sure all the zeds were dead when I picked up the gold. I also guess doing it as a Berserker didn't help.
I can't work out for the life of me why when I load up KFO-Steamland on my server, it always is just 10 waves of normal.

There is no role for it to fit in, even at release.
I have no idea why it exists. There is no role for it to fit in, even at release.
It's a mid-ground powerup before the AA12 but most people just shoot straight for it.
If the combat shotty cost slightly more but had a significantly faster reload or even the exact same as the standard shotty then id consider it. There's literally no reason to ever use it ever as far as im concerned.
It's a mid-ground powerup before the AA12 but most people just shoot straight for it.
It's higher fire rate is supposed to make it better for taking out tougher enemies faster, but if you need a burst of damage you're better off using the hunting shotgun.
Turns out I didn't even need the gold bar achievement to get Mrs. Foster. I only needed the two map ones to unlock her. Which is good, because even with dropping it, I couldn't get it.
I can't work out for the life of me why when I load up KFO-Steamland on my server, it always is just 10 waves of normal.
need to set it in objective mode m8

I sometimes pack one in darker maps just because it has a flashlight and functions as a poor mans AA12.
I like the sound effects, the animations, and the flashlight, but when it comes to its actual purpose, namely killing stuff, it falls flat in my opinion.

Shame its usually terrible most of the time. Its probably why I'm such a big fan of NS2.
I hate the Combat Shotgun, takes about 1.5 seconds to fire all the blasts off, then about 5 to reload it. 7 if you end up aiming down the sights too early because the shell isn't loaded till your hand has gone offscreen / has gone back to holding the barrel, since you canceled the reload and need to reload that extra shell.

The first tier weapons (Shotgun, Bullpup, etc) don't burn through ammo as quickly for all classes and have shorter reload times so I normally keep them and have a heavier more expensive weapon for the desperate situations.
