So that's why field medics get all the bitches
Speaking of field medics, what really pisses me off is how most of the time the syringe from the medi-gun hits an ally, the green smoke appears but still doesn't register as an actual hit. Makes playing the medic really frustrating.

That's what the increased recharge time is for. That and multiple medic guns.

Giving you other ways to heal people to cover up a shitty mechanic that doesn't work properly? That's some Castlevania shit right there.

Doesn't excuse the fact that it doesn't even working as it should.
It doesn't happen that often anyway. When I play medic a whole game it only happens to me like twice.
My favorite event Zeds are still the christmas ones.
Christmas scrake is neat
I always though the Gingerfast was the crowd favorite.
I'm delicious.
I really liked the Christmas stalker for... reasons.

Fond memories of v4's op ;)
So, since the summer sale is up I'm thinking about getting this game. Any tips or things I need to know? Should I get the regular game or is it worth getting the extra gift versions?

-Stick to your perk's weapons.
-Stick with Beginner/Normal unless you plan on using a level 3+ perk.
-Body armor is one of the most important things you can buy.
-Stick with your team.
-If your team has 2 sharpshooters, don't be a sharpshooter. Same with other perks. Variety is key.
-Start moving towards the trader a little bit before the round is over.
-Check the wiki if you're wondering something.

Don't use the Pyro skins.
I like using the Pyro skins because I know in my heart that one of my teammates is probably thinking, "Look at this loser, he must suck."
Don't use the Pyro skins.
I like to believe that my rank of Level 5 Sharpshooter negates the negativity of the Pyro skin.
It probably doesn't :v:

I never said it wasn't broken and glitchy. Hell, I've bitched about here a number of times. But the increase in recharge speed and multiple guns help alleviate the problem.

Not to be rude but just because someone has 4 level 6 perks doesn't meant that they're good
[editline]22nd July 2013[/editline]
Especially with things like farming servers and SAM
You've got some issues if something as superficial as a model change and some new sounds prevents you from enjoying a perfectly good game.
The hitboxes are broken as shit, otherwise I'd be at the very least okay with it.
Plus, every single one of the models pretty much breaks the zeds ( Broken stalker invisibility, fucked up hitboxes on the Husk, etc ). Some of the things the models break are also the effect locations. I spotted a Scrake twice because his smoke clipped through walls.
It's gameplay altering, and not in a good way. I recognize that my post might've seemed a bit far fetched and angry. I'm sorry about that, but the eventual model changes are really breaking things for me.

I still have level 3 perks and I play them just to fuck with the eltists that are level 5.
then I end up last guy alive and they are coaching me as if I don't know what I'm doing.

I can't stand them either. I have not once headshot a circus husk. Which is a big deal because husks are one of the "KILL RIGHT THE FUCK NOW" zeds.

They're just looking out for you. I always let the last guy know whats around the corner.

Well to be fair the only reason I'm at Level 5 is because I used pistol a ton as other perks and then one day I was level 3 and took it up to become a fairly ok Sharpshooter :v:
None of my perks are at a level where I spawn with a class specific weapon, so I go sharp for the pistol bonus

I usually start with Support (my only level 6 :v:) to get the hunting shotgun then quickly switch to Berserker before the round starts. That way I save money and get some damage for my Berserker. And if I'm leveling a class I can also sell the hunting shotgun for some extra dosh.
My friends do the same with Sharpshooter and get a lot more money from the xbow but I suck at Sharpshooter it and it's going to take me a couple more years to reach level 6. :v:

Good man.
Also, if you want more free stuff at any Trader, give someone (you trust) all your money (PROTIP: bind a key to TossCash 9999999999 for quick access) so you don't lose any when you die, give them your weapons (if you have any), and use the suicide command (or find some other way to kill yourself, such as grenades, if it doesn't work for some reason). Switch class IMMEDIATELY, get free gun and 200 pounds.
Also, my only non-level 6 is Commando. So hard to level.
My first 6 was Field Medic and my last Berserker, go figure.

How the hell do you level medic first and not sharpshooter, sharpshooter is like the easiest to level up.

Field Medic is easy to level up when you have a good team.
Field Medic is easy to level up when you have a good team.
You have odd concept of a good team then.
Good team takes usually much less damage than a bad team.

But there's also a fact that good players let the medic heal them instead of using the quick-heal to heal those 20 damage they received.

My good team = always stay in Medic's vision and make use of healing grenades. Know when to retreat and get healed. And don't stray.
