My Sharpshooter is about half-way through 4th and my Medic is about 1/10th through 5th. I get pushed into Medic a lot, and I tend to try to heal everyone anyway.

Play zerker and do chainsaw fights with scrakes.
It's more of a "I don't trust my team" thing
Most of the time I end up roaming alone and surviving even a direct nuke impact thanks to my armor, but as soon as I switch perk, unless I'm backed by a decent team, I'll find myself without armor really fast
That's just part of the game. You don't know that your team is shit until you put some trust into them. And besides, you can still roam alone as most of the perks and do fine.
I feel like I'm forced to play Sharpshooter because if dont, I always think FP's and Scrakes will wipe us out.

I know exactly how that feels. I've been wanting to level Demo up to level 5, but every time I join a Hard game, I swear the team always needs a Sharpshooter. I'd really like to blow some Zeds up, but I'm so afraid of a wipe because of a rogue Scrake.
